Short Prayer for Teachers

Dear God,

Thank you for the teachers who have helped me along the way. I ask that you watch over them, and guide them to do their best for those under their care. Please help my teacher today to be patient with those who are struggling to learn. Help her to see past the mistakes made in class and recognize the passion of each student. Help her to be a positive role model in our community. Give her strength when she needs it most so she can keep going on days when she feels like giving up. Help her to love each one of us equally, even though we are different from one another. Thank you for all that you have done for me and for my teacher today!

churchgist will give you all you ask on Short Prayer for Teachers and so much more.

Dear Lord,

I pray that you bless my teacher with your wisdom and grace. I ask that you help her to teach me well, and to give me the strength to learn. Help her to show me how to use my mind wisely. And most of all, please help me to be a good student .Help me to be curious, open-minded, and eager for knowledge. Help me not just to memorize what she teaches but also to think about it—to question it and explore it further. And Lord, please help me remember that there is no such thing as a stupid question! Thank you for hearing this prayer, and for listening to every prayer of your children every day.

for the teachers and their families here, Lord.

  • For the teachers and their families here, Lord.
  • I pray that you would give them strength, patience and wisdom to help them during this difficult time.
  • Guide them in making wise decisions for themselves and their families.
  • Help them to have energy and motivation when they need it most so that they may be effective educators of our children.
  • I ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Keep us strong and steady in our faith,

As teachers, we are tasked with molding the minds of our pupils. In order to do this, it is vital that we remain calm, collected and consistent in our approach to each student. This is not an easy task! It requires great strength and fortitude. As such, I pray to God that he may keep us strong and steady in our faith.

in our good work as educators to our students.

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the gift of our teaching profession. We thank you for the opportunity to share your truth with our students and help them develop into adults who can be good stewards of their own lives and the lives of others. We also thank you that as teachers, we have been blessed with a platform which allows us to inspire children and young adults on a daily basis. As such, we seek your guidance in how best to use this great responsibility wisely. Amen!

Let us stand firm on the foundation of your love,

Let us stand firm on the foundation of your love.

What is love? It’s not just a feeling or an emotion, but rather a choice. Love is the decision to be patient, kind and understanding with others. It’s choosing to give more than you receive (1 Cor 13).

When we stand firm in our love for each other we can help those around us feel loved and understood. We are able to show forgiveness where there has been hurt or offense. We can demonstrate kindness in all situations – even when others don’t reciprocate our good will toward them!

that we may be able to build up a generation of obedient children.

  • That we may be able to build up a generation of obedient children.
  • That we will show our students the right way to behave and live so that they can become good citizens of society.
  • That our students will grow in wisdom and not be led astray by evil influences around them.

As you go about your daily duties as a teacher, remember that God is watching over you and He wants the best for your students. Pray that You will do Your best each day to teach them well and help them learn what You have taught Them. And above all else: Be thankful for these wonderful gifts from God—your students!

Bless us with wisdom and discernment, Father.

  • Bless us with wisdom and discernment, Father.
  • Allow our teachers to show the world your love by their actions and words.
  • Give them the knowledge they need to guide students in their quest for truth, so that they may discover the answers on their own and grow as people.

Teachers are faced with many challenges in their day-to-day lives: how do you teach a class? How do you make sure your students understand what they’re being taught? How do you give each student an equal amount of attention when there may have been more than 100 people who signed up for your class? But those are only some of the questions teachers face every day—there are countless others we can’t even begin to imagine because we’ve never experienced what it’s like being a teacher ourselves!

Help us to develop each moment with them wisely,

  • Help us to develop each moment with them wisely.
  • Know the strengths and weaknesses of your students.
  • Build on the strengths, work on the weaknesses, and plan for growth in both areas.
  • Know what you want to achieve with these children—and have a plan for achieving those goals! Don’t expect things to happen by themselves; make them happen! Be prepared and flexible enough to change when necessary, but also open-minded enough not to let yourself be swayed by every little thing that happens in class or at home with your students’ families.

that we may use our time with them productively and not waste it away.

  • Let us use our time with them productively and not waste it away.
  • We cannot change the past, but we can make the most of our present by learning from it and moving on to better things in life.
  • Time is precious; it should be used wisely and well because we are not promised tomorrow, but today has been given to us as a gift and an opportunity that shouldn’t be wasted!

Fill our hearts with all your virtues, Lord,

Fill our hearts with all your virtues, Lord.

We pray for the grace of wisdom and the courage to do what is right, for patience in teaching others, for compassion and understanding when a child fails or makes a mistake. We ask that you make us kinder teachers. If we are not kind now, we will never be good teachers either.

Let us remember that every day we meet someone who has come to us out of love—a parent who wants nothing more than to see their child grow up healthy and happy; a student eager to learn new things; an employer who puts faith in you by giving you work.

Help us to think about how we can best serve those around us each day so they may be filled with joy as well as knowledge and skills; so they may become better people themselves; so they may bring happiness into this world because of themselves rather than through some other person’s influence over them (such as ours).

that we may radiate your love and holiness to those whom you have entrusted to us.

As teachers, we are entrusted with the care of our students. We are role models to them, and they look up to us as they learn how to navigate this world. As such, we must be virtuous in our actions; let us set a good example for them by showing patience, kindness and selflessness.

Additionally, we should not be afraid to speak the truth when it is necessary for the betterment of our students’ lives or society as a whole. We have been given this gift of knowledge—it’s our duty to share it in whatever way possible so that others may benefit from the wisdom we’ve gained through experience (and hopefully avoid making some of these same mistakes).

Teachers can help students grow in wisdom by praying for them.

Teachers are an essential part of the learning process. In addition to teaching their students what they need to know in order to succeed, teachers can help students grow in wisdom by praying for them. Teachers can also help themselves grow in wisdom by praying for themselves.
