Prayer For Prayer

5 Tips For Praying in the Morning: a blog about prayers and how to use prayer to start your day more effectively.

When we overlook prayer, we miss out on so many benefits that it provides that enrich our lives. That is why we are going to take a look at 10 benefits of prayer that I pray will encourage you to grow deeper into your communion with God.

Prayer is not only something that Jesus teaches us how to do in Matthew 6:9-13. But it is also something that we read in scripture that He frequently did.

“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” – Luke 5:16

We learn the importance of prayer from Christ.

Prayer is something that He made time for, even if it meant getting up early in the morning. It is something He spent time in diligently, even if He had a day of traveling, teaching, or healing ahead of Him.

Jesus prioritized prayer because Jesus prioritized the Father. It is His will that Jesus sought and not His own.

Whether you are praying for your family, your health, special occasions, or just everyday prayers, here are the reasons why you should pray.

Prayer For Prayer

Dear God,

Please hear my prayer. I pray for the people who are suffering. I pray for those who have lost their homes and families. I pray for the people who are begging for food and water. I pray that you will help them find a place to live, so they can start over again. Please bring peace back to our world. Amen

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the opportunity to pray and to be heard. We ask that you might grant us wisdom in our lives, so that we may make wise decisions and do what is right. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who lives within us and guides us through his Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer For Today

Dear God,

I know you hear me when I pray. I know that you love me, and that you will always answer my prayers.

Please help me with my studies. Let me do well on my test tomorrow, and let me make progress so that I can graduate soon.

Thank you for your love and guidance.

Dear Lord,

Please grant me the wisdom to know when to speak and when to listen. Teach me to love others unconditionally, even when they don’t deserve it. Teach me how to forgive, even when they refuse to apologize. Help me see every person as an opportunity for growth, not as a reflection of my own shortcomings or successes.

Lord, teach me how to be a blessing in this world—how to make it a better place by simply being around those who need me most.

Bring peace into my life and help me find happiness in all that you have given me this day.

Dear Lord,

Please help me to be more patient with my family. I know that I can be short-tempered, and sometimes I have a hard time controlling my emotions. I promise to try my best to be more calm and loving in the future.

Thank you for listening to my prayers, and helping me through these difficult times.

Dear God,

Please hear my prayer.

I need your help today.

I am so confused about what I should do with my life and how I should go about doing it. I don’t know if I should take the job offer with [company name], or if I should stay at [previous company name]. My heart is telling me one thing, but my head is telling me another. Please guide me in making this decision. Show me what is right and good in this situation, so that I may choose wisely and move forward with confidence and faith.

Amen

Heavenly Father, we come before you in prayer today.

We know that life can be tough sometimes, especially when we’re feeling uncertain about the future. But we also know that you are always there for us and have a plan for our lives—and that’s why we’re here today: to ask you to show us your plan for us. We want to be able to trust in your goodness and love, but it’s hard when we don’t know what’s coming next or how to handle difficult situations. We pray that you will guide us through these difficult times, so that we can remain strong and faithful even when things seem impossible.

Please help us find peace of mind and clarity about our purpose on this earth, so that we may continue to work toward improving ourselves as individuals and as members of society. And please help us remember that your love is unconditional—even when others aren’t kind toward us or don’t understand our struggles—because they love themselves more than they love others.
