Jesus Christ suffered greatly and died on the cross to save each of us from eternal damnation. He endured so many wounds while in the garden, on the cross and with His Resurrection that we can spend our whole lives meditating on them and their meaning. Join me as we daily commemorate these Five Wounds of Jesus Christ for spiritual healing and renewal for our souls by joining this chaplet.
The Chaplet of the Five Wounds of Jesus Christ represents all of the wounds he endured from being scourged and crowned with thorns, beaten and crowned with a reed, slapped in the face, and pierced by the lance. The Chaplet consists of five sets of nine beads, each set representing one of these wounds. In addition to this, there are two extra beads symbolizing Christ’s Mother Mary on one side and His Guardian Angel on the other. This chaplet must be made entirely with whole, unbroken rosary beads that are joined by knots.
This Chaplet of the Five Wounds of Jesus includes a scapular medal and small medal pendant. Pray this chaplet while meditating on the wounds (five) Jesus suffered during his Passion and Death to obtain special graces and blessings from heaven. The Chaplet consists of five decades, which are meditations on each of the five wounds through which His Precious Blood was shed during his Crucifixion: (1) In His head due to the crown of thorns; (2) in His wrists for the scourging He endured; (3) in His heart for being pierced with a lance; (4) in His feet for being nailed to the cross; and (5) in His Holy Face for being spat upon by those who mocked Him.
