Hope for the Elderly in the World
“He will refresh your life and keep you alive in your old age” (Ruth 4:15 New International Version).

“No matter how old you are and how many gray hairs you have, I am he who will keep you alive,” he said. According to Isaiah 46:4 of the New International Version, “I have made you, and I will carry you; I will sustain you, and I will rescue you.”

But those who put their hope in the Lord will find that their strength is renewed. They will reach great heights on wings like eagles; they will run without being exhausted, and they will walk without becoming disoriented. As stated in Isaiah 40:31,

In the New Living Translation of Deuteronomy 34:7, it is written that “Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was clear, and he was as strong as ever.”

You shouldn’t be obsessed with money; instead, you should be content with what you already own. Because the Lord has promised, “I will never let you down.” I promise that I will never give up on you. (Hebrews 13:5 NLT).

The New International Version of Psalm 91:16 states, “With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

These are the reasons why we are not disheartened. On the surface, we appear to be deteriorating, but on the inside, we are being refreshed on a daily basis” (2 Corinthians 4:16 GW).

Honoring the Elderly is a Priority
In the presence of older people, it is important to demonstrate respect for them by standing up. Afraid of your God. The book of Leviticus 19:32 says, “I am the Lord.”

Never be harsh while speaking to an older guy; instead, make an appeal to him in the same courteous manner that you would to your own father… You should treat elder women in the same manner as you would your mother. (1 Timothy 5:1-2 New Living Translation).

In a similar manner, those of you who are younger should subject yourselves to those who are older. In light of the fact that “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble,” each and every one of you ought to dress themselves in humility toward one another (1 Peter 5:5 New International Version).

According to Job 12:12, the Bible says that “wisdom belongs to the aged, and understanding to the old.”

The Work Done by Senior Citizens
Job 32:7 says, “Whoever is older should speak, for wisdom comes with age” (New Living Translation).

It was twenty-five years ago when we moved into our house, and my husband assisted an elderly guy in laying the brick pathway that we have now. During the snow shoveling that we did this past weekend, Larry’s friend’s words of wisdom came back to him. “Larry, please take a short break. You must remember to take breaks.

Tell the older males to stop drinking. To be men of good character, to exercise sound judgment, and to be well-grounded in faith, love, and endurance are the goals of this group. It is important to encourage elderly women to live their lives in a manner that demonstrates their commitment to God. …not to engage in gossip or suffer from alcoholism, but rather to serve as exemplary models of virtue. Young women will learn from them how to demonstrate love to their husbands and children, how to exercise sound judgment, and how to be morally upright through this method. You should also tell them to teach young women to be kind, to devote themselves to being homemakers, and to submit themselves to the authority of their husbands. In that case, no one will be able to speak ill of the word of God” (Titus 2:2-5 GW).

Words of Wisdom for All Ages
In order for us to acquire a heart of understanding, teach us to count our days (Psalm 90:12 New International Version).

Philippians 1:6 says, “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” This verse is taken from the New Living Translation of the Bible.
