The Gift of Teaching – Romans 12:7

Paul says, “If you are slothful in duty, be diligent in study. Let all be done with love.” (1 Cor. 14:40). This is a gift from God—the ability to speak words that will motivate others toward good deeds and Christian living.
In many cases we are too much at ease in our lives and don’t desire certain things because we don’t want to work hard for them or put in the necessary effort required to achieve those goals or dreams(2 Tim 2:4). We must realize that how much we accomplish today will determine how successful we are tomorrow!
The Gift of Giving – Acts 20:35
The gift of giving is a gift of the Holy Spirit. A Christian who has received this gift has been empowered by God to give in several ways:
- He is able to give of himself, whether it’s his time or his possessions.
- He is able to give of his possessions, whether those possessions are material or spiritual. It might be something as small as giving up some money for someone else’s benefit or as large as fasting and praying for an entire day on someone else’s behalf. The point here is that if you want something done right and with more than just your own heart at work, it’s going to take sacrifice on your part—and no one knows better how much sacrifice will be required than God Himself. The reason why we should give in the first place isn’t because we want something back but because we know the joy that comes from helping others out when they need us most (Acts 20:35).
The Gift of Leading – Romans 12:8
The gift of leading is the ability to lead and guide others. This gift helps you become a strong leader in whatever area you choose to pursue. You can use this gift to help others understand truth and navigate through life in a way that honors God. It also gives you the courage to speak up when necessary, even if it means standing alone on an unpopular opinion or idea.
This gift allows you to inspire others with words at times when they need encouragement or motivation; therefore, it makes people want stay loyal followers who will follow your leadership without question because they know it comes from a place of true love for them as individuals!
Administration/Leadership – 1 Corinthians 12:28
- There are many gifts of the Holy Spirit.
- Administration is one of them.
- “And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers…” (1 Corinthians 12:28)
- This gift can be exercised by anyone within a church or ministry. Although there are different roles in which this gift can be used, it is still a gift of the Holy Spirit and not limited to one particular role or office such as elder or deacon.
