Prayer For A Child Struggling In School

    Introduction

A prayer for a child who is struggling in school.

When you pray for a child who is struggling in school, be specific. Tell God what you want to happen and how it will happen. Don’t ask God to do something that you could do yourself. Rather, seek guidance and wisdom on how best to serve your child by helping them succeed at school.

Prayer is not about getting answers—it’s about building relationship with God as our father, creator and protector. When we pray in faith (trusting that God has good plans for us), we are trusting what God says over what we see or feel at the moment. We must remember that prayer does not replace action; rather it should set the stage for wise decision making that honors our heavenly Father above all else!

Angels, please help my child by encouraging their unique gifts and talents.

Angels are heavenly beings that guide us, help us to develop our talents and gifts, and protect us. They can be everywhere at once, so you don’t need to worry about whether they will hear your prayer. You are never alone; angels are always listening and loving and compassionate.

Angels have incredible powers and abilities—they can do things that seem impossible for humans. For example, they can travel through time or space instantly, just like Captain Kirk in Star Trek: The Next Generation (except in real life it’s not called “warp speed”).

Help them to believe in themselves so that they can achieve their goals.

    • Help them to believe in themselves so that they can achieve their goals. This is an important step, as some children struggle with the idea of believing in themselves. If you have a child who has struggled with schoolwork, this may be especially true for them.
    • Focus on your strengths and positive qualities. Instead of letting yourself feel overwhelmed by the things you don’t know, focus on what you do know or are good at doing—both academically and personally—and let these positive traits give you confidence when tackling new challenges.
    • Believe in yourself and your faith will help you succeed! God always helps those who help themselves; therefore it is important to believe that God has given us all talents and skills that we can use to accomplish our goals (see 2 Nephi 4:35).

Please guide them to focus on the positive.

Please pray for my child to focus on the positive. Please remind them of their strengths and what they have already accomplished. Let them know that they are learning, even if it doesn’t feel like it now. Don’t compare them to other children or let them make excuses or blame other people or themselves.

Help them leave behind any doubts or fears that are holding them back.

Dear Lord, thank you for your love and mercy. Thank you for being with us every day, even when we are not aware of it. Today, my child struggles in school. Please help them leave behind any doubts or fears that are holding them back. Help them to believe in themselves and focus on the positive things they have done in the past, so their confidence will be strengthened and they can look forward to their future success as well as learning from their mistakes. Give them guidance through difficult times so that they are able to make good choices for themselves and their future endeavors. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Help us to guide them gently, every step of the way.

The first line of defense in helping your child succeed is to be a good role model. As parents, we can establish an environment at home where learning and improvement are valued. We need to be supportive and encouraging when they struggle, while also acknowledging their accomplishments when they do well.

Don’t push your children too hard or criticize them for making mistakes—it’s unfair and it will only make them feel bad about themselves. Instead, encourage them to learn from their missteps so that you can help guide them gently, every step of the way.

Be careful not to compare your child with other children either—this will only put unnecessary pressure on him/her and make him/her feel inferior or superior based on something as simple as which school he/she goes to! This can cause even more anxiety for our young ones who are already struggling in school.”

I ask this prayer in love and light, amen.

“I ask this prayer in love and light, amen.”

You may have noticed that I have a tendency to be very specific in my prayers. Why? Because it helps us stay focused on what we want! If you’re asking for a general blessing or assistance of some kind, go ahead and make it as broad as you want. But if you’re praying specifically for something specific (like I’m doing here), then it’s important to focus your energy on getting exactly what you want. Having clear intentions will help you obtain your desired outcome faster than having vague ones!

How can we achieve a more focused state of mind? By taking time each morning before we encounter any distractions like emails or phone calls and focusing on one thing: healing our child’s heart. We don’t just say “I’m going to focus” or “Take 5 minutes off my phone so I can concentrate,” because that doesn’t work as well as saying “I’m going to heal [kid]’s heart today.” The reason why is because when we say something like “heal his/her heart,” our brain automatically starts thinking about how much time does it take him/her? How many seconds per day does he/she need this amount of healing?” This simple change makes all the difference between success and failure when meditating or praying together with another person.

    prayer for education success

God will help your children succeed in school when you ask him to.

    • God will help your children succeed in school when you ask him to. They may be struggling, but God cares about them and wants the best for them. He knows what’s best for them, and if you trust him with their lives, he’ll provide for their needs and guide them to success. You can’t do it alone—you must ask God to help your children succeed!

short prayer for students and teachers

We pray for your blessings over their lives, their work, their livelihood, and their families. Guide them with your wisdom. May they be empowered by your Spirit to see the needs of their students and to inspire those under their care. We bring our parents, guardians, and caregivers of our students before you.

    Conclusion

If you are a parent or guardian of a child who is struggling in school, here’s some advice. Give them positive reinforcement and recognize the effort they put into their studies. Try to avoid punishment, such as taking away privileges or grounding them, as these punishments may cause resentment towards studying later on. Instead of punishing children for not doing well academically, reward them when they do well. For example: If they get 100% on their math test this week, then let them have an extra hour of TV time next Saturday night.”

Verses For Helping Our Kids Deal With School Stress

    School - Homework

The school year brings specific challenges that kids might sometimes have trouble with. Maybe you can remember back to your own youth – what helped you get through tough school days and stressful exams? More importantly, how will you calm your own child’s nerves? How will you reassure them if they worry about doing poorly?

In our house we have a philosophy that is simply, “Do your best, then let God do the rest!” This doesn’t mean sit back and pray for a miracle, though! My kids know that we expect them to do their part. My oldest attends a brick and mortar school, so we expect him to be physically AND mentally present during class, take good notes, ask questions if he isn’t understanding the subject matter, do his homework and study for his exams. It’s his job to learn what he’s being taught. This is our expectation. It is not an expectation of perfection, but rather an expectation that he will do his best.

I have witnessed many kids who are so anxious about achieving perfection in their school work that they have to be medicated just to get through the school year. It bothers me greatly that the world has placed the expectation of perfection on our kids. Having home schooled both my kids, and still home schooling my youngest, we have a different perspective about the big picture of school. For us it’s more important to give our children a true desire for knowledge, but within that desire we hope to teach them that there is great joy that comes from learning, and a peace that comes from not expecting perfection in all subjects. God has an individual purpose for each of us and has wired us all a little differently as to achieve that purpose.

God doesn’t want any of His children to stress out about anything! He will provide for all of our needs and it’s up to us to reinforce that comforting truth to our kids, especially during times when they are going through stress.

Here are some wonderful Bible verses that may help you as you pray over your kids during hard times at school, when stress and worry may run a bit higher than normal. Great reminders for all of us to trust God in all ways and at all times.

(Luke 12:25-26) “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?”

(John 14:27) “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

(2 Corinthians) 12:9 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

(James 1:5-6) “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”
