The Church worldwide adores and invokes you as the patron of difficult cases and of things that are seemingly hopeless. Most holy Apostle, Saint Jude, you are a faithful servant and a companion of Jesus. Pray for me, for I am completely helpless and all by myself.
Please pray to God that He will provide me with assistance that is both apparent and prompt in situations where assistance is practically impossible to come by. Please come to my aid in this huge need so that I may enjoy the consolation and assistance of heaven in all of my wants, trials, and sufferings, especially in the following areas:

That I may worship God with you and all the saints for all eternity, and that you may make your wish here. Blessed Saint Jude, I pledge to constantly keep in mind the wonderful favor that God has bestowed upon me, to always honor you as my unique and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. There is a good reason why many people call upon you when their illness is at its most critical stage. Prayer to St. Jude Thaddeus

Most holy Apostle, Saint Jude Thaddeus, friend of Jesus, I place myself in your care at this difficult time. Help me know that I need not face my troubles alone. Please join me in my need, asking God to send me: consolation in my sorrow, courage in my fear, and healing in the midst of my suffering. Ask our loving Lord to fill me with the grace to accept whatever may lie ahead for me and my loved ones, and to strengthen my faith in God’s healing powers. Thank you, Saint Jude Thaddeus, for the promise of hope you hold out to all who believe, and inspire me to give this gift of hope to others as it has been given to me.

Day – 1: The Plot Against Jesus

The religious leaders of Christ’s time were constantly opposed to him. Their prejudice was that he was a Galilean. And for them, no prophet ever comes from Galilee (John 7:52). Due to their prejudice, hatred and jealousy, they did everything possible to silence Jesus. If you are plotting the downfall of another, you need to change. If yours is being plotted, the Lord will surely declare you innocent and make you victorious. But make sure you are not Alone, stay with Jesus.

Pray for me who am so miserable; make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded to thee to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succour of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly (here make your request), and that I may bless God with thee and all the elect forever. St. Jude Novena Prayer Guide for Individual or Group
Dear devotee of St. Jude Thaddeus, Peace!

This little pamphlet is designed by the St. Jude Apostolate, Yaba, Lagos. It is meant for you to journey with St. Jude Thaddeus in asking for God’s and miraulous intervention in your life. Novena, from the Latin novem – nine – is a devotional prayer consisting of private or public prayers for particular intention(s) for nine days or weeks. If it is said consecutively for three days, it is known as Triduum. You can make use of this prayer as an individual or as a group. It can be said before the Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus located at St. Dominic’s Yaba, Lagos or before his statue, in the Chapel, in one’s house or anywhere one considers comfortable. In journeying with St. Jude Thaddeus, one must have in mind that as the Patron Saint of Difficult and Hopeless cases, he obtains favour for us in accordance with God’s will. The confidence we have, therefore, is that whatever we ask for is granted to us in accordance with God’s will {1 John 5:14}.

Through his powerful intercession, may the good Lord grant answers to your prayers. Do well to share your testimonies with us. Day One – Trusting in a God’s Mercy
Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need (Heb 4:16).

Every time is time of need but this period of Novena is a special time for me to draw near to You, my God. I may not know how to make how to make my request, but I have confidence in the powerful intercession of St. Jude Thaddeus, hence, I approach Your throne of Grace, O Lord, through him. I begin, therefore, by asking for Your mercy, O Lord. O my God, I am very sorry that I have sinned against you because you are so good and deserving of all my love, by the help of your grace, I will not sin again (If occasion permits, you can make use of Psalm 51 here).

Reflection: If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
