Spiritual Meaning Of Cysts

There are a number of meanings for cysts and the spiritual meaning behind cysts is no exception. The spiritual meaning of cysts and its origin have been traced back to ancient times, including the Greek mythology. Cyst can also refer to much more than just the medical condition. In Hinduism and Buddhism, spiritually advanced people would have visions through their third eye which was called the ‘cyst’.

The meaning of cysts is often misunderstood. It is thought of as an unpleasant, non-beneficial growth. In fact, like most other things, it has a dual meaning that is both positive and negative. Learn more about the spiritual meaning of cysts below.

A cyst is a small pocket of fluid or semi-solid material that forms within a tissue or organ. These sacs are usually harmless, but they can sometimes cause pain and discomfort.

The spiritual meaning of cysts is that they symbolize the need to release negative feelings and emotions that have been stored up inside you. Cysts can also be seen as a warning sign that you need to make some changes in your life, or else risk being consumed by them. If you’re experiencing symptoms such as lethargy or irritability, it’s time for you to take action!

If you have a cyst growing on your body, you may feel overwhelmed by the pressure it puts on your system. This can cause depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues if left unchecked for too long. The best way to deal with this type of issue is by seeking help from someone who has experience dealing with these types of problems (such as a doctor). You should also try meditation or mindfulness exercises as they will help with stress management which might be related to your condition as well.

Spiritual Meaning Of Cysts

Ovarian Cyst Spiritual Meaning:

An ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that develops on or inside the ovaries. In the spiritual realm, it is believed to represent ⁢unfulfilled‍ desires or emotions that have been suppressed. The ovaries are connected to the sacral chakra, which governs our creativity, sensuality, and emotions. ⁣When this chakra is imbalanced, it can manifest in the form of⁣ ovarian ⁤cysts. The spiritual meaning of ovarian cysts reminds us⁣ to address and ⁤release any emotional blockages or unexpressed desires in order⁢ to restore ⁣balance to our sacral chakra.

One Bible verse that ⁤relates to the⁤ spiritual meaning of ovarian⁣ cysts is Proverbs 13:12: “Hope deferred makes the heart sick,⁤ but⁣ a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” This verse emphasizes the importance of addressing our unfulfilled desires and not ‌allowing them to linger and create emotional ‌turmoil ⁣within us.

Root Cause of Cysts:

Cysts can develop in various⁢ parts of the ‌body, ⁤and their spiritual meaning can vary depending on⁣ their location. However, the root cause of cysts is often related⁢ to emotional or spiritual imbalances. It⁢ is believed‍ that‍ cysts develop ‍when energy ⁢becomes stagnant or blocked in a particular area, resulting ‍in⁣ the accumulation of ⁤fluid or tissue. This blockage can ⁣be a result of unresolved⁣ emotional issues, trauma,⁢ or negative thought patterns.

One biblical character whose story⁣ can be associated with the root ‌cause ⁢of cysts ⁢is Job. In the book of Job, Job experiences great emotional and physical suffering. This suffering can symbolize the emotional and spiritual‍ turbulence‍ that can contribute ⁤to the development of ⁢cysts. Job’s eventual restoration ⁤reminds⁤ us of the importance of ‍addressing our emotional and spiritual imbalances to promote⁤ healing and⁤ well-being.

Bartholin Cyst Spiritual‌ Meaning:

The Bartholin glands are located on either side of the ⁣vaginal opening and can develop cysts when they become blocked.⁣ From ⁤a spiritual perspective, a ⁢Bartholin⁢ cyst can represent a blockage of⁤ feminine⁣ energy or the suppression of one’s feminine power. ⁢It could indicate⁢ a disconnection⁢ from ‍one’s creative and nurturing aspects.

In⁢ the Bible, there are several verses⁣ that speak to the importance of embracing‍ and honoring the feminine energy. One such verse is Proverbs 31:25: “She ‍is clothed with strength and dignity, ⁢and she laughs without fear of the future.” This verse highlights the importance‌ of embracing and celebrating the strength and power⁤ of the feminine spirit. It reminds us to release any blockages or inhibitions that‍ may be preventing us from fully embracing our feminine essence.

By addressing and releasing any emotional blockages ‌associated with the spiritual meaning of cysts,⁣ we can work towards ⁣healing and restoring balance to our physical,‍ emotional,‍ and ‍spiritual well-being. It is essential to seek professional medical advice ‌for‌ the ⁤physical treatment of cysts, ‌but addressing the underlying spiritual and⁤ emotional aspects can also contribute to overall healing⁣ and wellness.

Spiritual Meaning Of Boils, Abscesses, Pilonidal Cysts, and Fungal Infections

Spiritual Meaning Of Boils: ‍Boils⁢ are painful, pus-filled bumps that form ‍beneath the surface of the skin. From a spiritual perspective, boils‌ can indicate deep-rooted anger⁣ or unresolved emotions that have festered ⁤over time. They can arise when we suppress our emotions, causing them to build up and eventually manifest as physical symptoms.

Spiritual Meaning Of ⁤Abscesses: Abscesses are similar to boils, but they occur deeper within the body,⁢ often in⁣ organs or tissues. They can symbolize emotional pain, spiritual infection, or the need to release toxic energy or relationships. Abscesses ⁢remind us of the importance of addressing⁢ and releasing emotional wounds to prevent further ⁣damage to our physical and spiritual well-being.

Spiritual Meaning Of Pilonidal Cysts: ⁢ Pilonidal cysts are cysts that form⁢ near the tailbone and ⁢are often associated with⁤ poor hygiene or sitting ⁤for extended periods. From a spiritual perspective, pilonidal cysts can represent‌ a fear of⁣ moving ⁢forward or resisting change. They⁢ can indicate the ⁢need ⁤to release the fear and embrace growth and transformation in our lives.

Spiritual Meaning Of Fungal Infections: ‍Fungal infections, such as yeast infections or ⁤athlete’s foot,⁣ are caused by an overgrowth of fungi.‍ From a spiritual standpoint, fungal ‍infections can represent a lack of self-care and ‍neglecting ‌our spiritual well-being. They can remind us to nurture ourselves holistically⁣ and‌ pay⁣ attention to ⁤our ⁢physical, emotional, and⁢ spiritual needs.

The Bible offers wisdom and guidance ‍related to ‌these conditions. Psalm 32:3-4 says, “When I⁣ refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away,‍ and⁢ I⁣ groaned all day long. Day and night your hand of discipline ‌was heavy on me. My strength evaporated‌ like water in the summer heat.”⁣ This verse emphasizes the connection between unacknowledged emotions, physical ailments, and ‍the need to take responsibility for our spiritual and⁣ emotional well-being.

By ⁣understanding the spiritual ‍meaning of these conditions and addressing the underlying emotional and spiritual imbalances,⁢ we can support our overall healing and well-being. It is important to remember that seeking ⁣medical advice and treatment is‍ also crucial for these physical conditions.

cyst spiritual meaning

The body is viewed as a reflection of the mind and spirit in many spiritual traditions. This implies that illnesses like cysts may be physical symptoms of underlying emotional or spiritual problems that require attention. Cysts may have the following spiritual meanings:

blocked vitality
Certain spiritual traditions state that the body’s blocked energy can cause cysts. Anger, fear, or despair are examples of negative emotions that might contribute to this energy blockage. Cysts can develop in the body as a result of physical barriers caused by unresolved or unreleased emotions.

For instance, if someone harbours animosity or bitterness towards another person, this may lead to physical strain on the body and the development of a cyst. In a similar vein, an obstruction in the body may seem as a cyst if a person is feeling scared or anxious about a specific circumstance.

Unresolved feelings
Cysts may also provide an outward sign of unresolved emotional issues. Unprocessed or unspoken emotions, such as sadness or trauma, can contribute to physical stress in the body and the development of cysts. In this instance, healing the physical cyst might require attending to the underlying emotional issue.

For instance, the emotional stress that someone harbours after going through a traumatic event can lead to the development of a cyst. They could also be able to repair the cyst by processing their experience and letting go of their feelings.

Self-worth concerns
Cysts are thought by some spiritual practitioners to be an indication of low self-esteem or self-worth. Cysts or other health problems could be the physical result of this negative self-talk if we don’t love ourselves.

For instance, a cyst may form on the body of a person who experiences low self-esteem as a result of their negative self-talk. They might be able to treat the cyst and enhance their general health by focusing on increasing their sense of self-worth and self-love.

Excessive mental activity
Cysts are said to be a sign of a hyperactive mind or thought patterns by certain spiritual people. Cysts can develop in our bodies as a result of physical stress caused by persistent worry or overthinking.

For instance, a person who is always anxious and worried about many things may accumulate tension in their body, which can lead to the development of a cyst. They might be able to lower their stress levels and enhance their general health by engaging in mindfulness practices and learning how to calm their minds.

It is not a requirement to have gone through a “traditional” trauma in order to have energy cysts in your body. Since every individual is different and has a unique life path, it’s normal to hold onto emotions from experiences such as your birth story, a serious illness in college, a tumble on the playground or last weekend’s mountain bike accident. Whatever you have gone through in this life, you may form an energy cyst if you are experiencing intense feelings related to a physical incident that you are unable to fully understand or feel in your body. Your body can identify trauma and attempt to protect you from it without you having to fight in a war, endure abuse or torture, or experience a devastating death in your family!

It’s been claimed that our bodies can tell stories, and I find that to be true in my line of work. A skilled therapist can provide a healing space where you can focus on releasing deeply ingrained emotions and memories from significant life events that may have left residues in your tissues. Because of how amazing, sophisticated, and closely connected our bodies are to our emotional and spiritual experiences, it is frequently necessary to use a “alternative” method like craniosacral therapy in order to fully process an experience. Because talk therapy ignores the physical and energy aspects of trauma, it is insufficient for many people.

Spiritual Meaning Of Cysts

The spiritual meaning of cysts is simple: your body is trying to tell you something.

Cysts are growths on the skin or in organs and tissues, usually filled with fluid. They can be painful and uncomfortable, but they’re also a great way for your body to send you signals about something that isn’t working quite right.

If you’ve been noticing a cyst on your skin, it might be a sign that you need more sleep or that you need to drink more water. If one forms inside an organ, like your liver or pancreas, it could mean that there’s something wrong with those systems—which means it’s time for a checkup!

It’s important not to ignore these signs from your body; if you do, they’ll just keep coming back until you give them the attention they deserve.

A cyst is a sac-like pocket of membranous tissue that contains fluid, air, or other substances. Cysts can grow almost anywhere in your body or under your skin.

There are many types of cysts. Most cysts are benign, or noncancerous.

Whether a cyst needs treatment depends on a number of factors, including:

  • the type of cyst
  • the location of the cyst
  • if the cyst is causing pain or discomfort
  • whether the cyst is inflamed or infected

Cysts can vary in appearance depending on their type and location. Here are 11 types of cysts.

Warning: Graphic images ahead.

Epidermoid cyst

  • An epidermoid cyst is a small, slow growing, benign cyst most commonly found on the face, head, neck, back, or genitals.
  • It’s usually caused by a buildup of keratin under the skin.
  • It looks like a skin-colored, tan, or yellowish bump filled with thick material.
  • It may become swollen, red, or painful if it’s inflamed or infected.

Sebaceous cyst

  • A sebaceous cyst is found on the face, neck, or torso.
  • It’s usually caused by trauma or damage to the sebaceous glands, such as from cuts or surgical wounds.
  • A large cyst may cause pressure and pain.
  • It’s noncancerous and very slow growing.

Breast cyst

  • Most breast lumps (such as cysts) are noncancerous, but there are many possible causes for a lump in your breast.
  • Instead of performing a breast self-exam, it’s important to be familiar with how your breasts typically feel so you’re aware of changes. This way, you’re more likely to notice changes right away.
  • You should make an appointment to see a healthcare professional if:
    • you discover a new lump
    • an area of your breast is noticeably different than the rest
    • a lump changes or grows larger
    • you notice unexpected discharge from the nipple
    • you have an inverted nipple, and it wasn’t always inverted

Ganglion cyst

  • A ganglion cyst is a round, gel-filled lump of tissue that usually appears along tendons or joints, especially in the hands, wrists, ankles, and feet.
  • Fluid accumulation can occur due to injury, trauma, or overuse, but often the cause is unknown.
  • A ganglion cyst is common, harmless, and doesn’t cause pain or problems unless it grows and puts pressure on other structures.

Pilonidal cyst

  • A pilonidal cyst is a common skin condition that forms in the cleft at the top of the buttocks. It typically occurs after puberty.
  • It’s believed to be caused by a combination of changing hormones, hair growth, and friction from clothes or from spending a long time sitting.
  • It consists of a small hole or tunnel in the skin that may become infected and fill with fluid or pus.
  • Signs of an infection include:
    • pain when sitting or standing
    • red or sore skin around the area
    • pus or blood draining from the abscess, causing a foul odor
    • swelling of the cyst
    • hair protruding from the lesion

Ovarian cyst

  • Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that develop on one or both of the ovaries.
  • They may develop as a normal part of the reproductive cycle or be pathologic.
  • They may be asymptomatic or painful.
  • Symptoms include:
    • abdominal bloating or swelling
    • painful bowel movements
    • pelvic pain before or during the menstrual cycle
    • painful intercourse
    • pain in the lower back or thighs
    • breast tenderness
    • nausea
    • vomiting
  • Severe symptoms such as sudden, sharp pelvic pain, fever, faintness, or dizziness are signs of cyst rupture or ovarian torsion.

Baker’s (popliteal) cyst

  • A Baker’s cyst is a fluid-filled swelling that causes a lump at the back of the knee.
  • This condition is due to a problem that affects the knee joint, such as arthritis, inflammation from repetitive stress, or a cartilage injury.
  • Symptoms include:
    • mild to severe pain
    • tightness
    • limited range of motion
    • swelling behind the knee
    • bruising on the knee and calf
    • rupturing of the cyst
  • A Baker’s cyst often doesn’t need treatment and will go away on its own.

Pilar cyst

  • A pilar cyst is a noncancerous, skin-colored, round bump that develops under the surface of the skin. It’s usually located on the scalp.
  • This type of cyst is caused by protein buildup in a hair follicle.
  • It’s painless, firm, smooth, and slow growing.

Mucous cyst

  • A mucous cyst is a fluid-filled swelling that occurs on the lip or the mouth.
  • It develops when the mouth’s salivary glands become plugged with mucus.
  • It’s commonly caused by trauma to the oral cavity, such as lip biting, piercings, and salivary gland disruption.
  • Mucous cysts are small, soft nodules that are pinkish or bluish.

Branchial cleft cyst

  • A branchial cleft cyst is a type of developmental irregularity in which a lump develops on one or both sides of the neck or below the collarbone.
  • It occurs during embryonic development when tissues in the neck and collarbone, or branchial cleft, develop differently.
  • In most cases, a branchial cleft cyst isn’t dangerous. However, it may cause skin irritation, skin infection, or — in very rare adult cases — cancer.
  • Symptoms in children include:
    • a dimple, lump, or skin tag on the neck, upper shoulder, or slightly below the collarbone
    • fluid draining from the neck
  • Children and adults may experience swelling or tenderness that usually occurs with an upper respiratory infection.

Perineural (Tarlov) cyst

  • A perineural cyst is a fluid-filled sac that forms on the spine.
  • Causes are unknown, but it may result from back trauma. Types of trauma associated with this cyst include falls, injuries, and heavy exertion.
  • Symptoms are rare. In these cases, it may cause pain in the lower back, buttocks, or legs.

Folliculitis (ingrown hair cyst)

  • Folliculitis describes a category of skin conditions that cause inflammation in a hair follicle and are usually infectious.
  • Ingrown hair cysts are a type of folliculitis. They start off as hairs that grow down or sideways instead of out, becoming ingrown.
  • Folliculitis is common among people who shave, wax, or use other methods to remove hair.
  • Folliculitis appears as pimple-like bumps under the skin that may be red, white, or yellow, with or without a central visible hair.
  • Bumps that appear near an ingrown hair are more likely to be pseudofolliculitis barbae (razor bumps) than ingrown hair cysts.
  • Ingrown hair cysts may become infected and appear red, warm, and tender to the touch.

  • A chalazion is a small, usually painless lump or swelling on your upper or lower eyelid.
  • It’s caused by a blocked meibomian gland. The meibomian gland is a type of oil gland.
  • It may be red, swollen, and painful if an infection is present.

Cystic acne

  • Cystic acne is the most severe type of acne, and it develops when bumps form deep underneath your skin.
  • It can result from a combination of hormone changes, bacteria, oil, and dry skin cells that get trapped in your pores.
  • Cystic acne may occur on the face, chest, neck, back, and arms. Large, painful, pus-filled bumps and nodules may form, rupture, and leave scars. They may appear red or skin-colored, depending on your skin tone.

Root Cause Of Cysts

Cysts are common and can occur anywhere on the body. They can be a result of infection, clogged sebaceous glands, or piercings.

Some other causes of cysts include:

  • tumors
  • genetic conditions
  • a fault in an organ of a developing embryo
  • a defect in the cells
  • chronic inflammatory conditions
  • blockages of ducts in the body that cause fluids to build up
  • a parasite
  • an injury that breaks a vessel

How can you recognize a cyst?

A cyst can appear as a bump on your skin. It may also feel like a small lump if it’s growing just under your skin.

Some cysts grow deep inside your body where you can’t feel them. However, they may cause or be related to other symptoms.

For example, ovarian cysts, such as those that result from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), may cause problems with ovarian and reproductive function. Polycystic kidney disease (PKD), which causes cysts to form in the kidney, can adversely affect kidney function.

Cysts usually grow slowly and have a smooth surface. They can be tiny or very large.

Most cysts aren’t painful. They usually don’t cause problems unless they’re:

  • infected
  • very large
  • impinging on a nerve or blood vessel
  • growing in a sensitive area
  • affecting the function of an organ

Why do cysts and pseudocysts form?

Cysts and pseudocysts form for different reasons. They can be caused by:

  • infections
  • inherited diseases
  • genetics
  • chronic inflammation
  • blockages in ducts

The exact cause depends on the type of cyst or pseudocyst.

What are the different types of cysts and pseudocysts?

There are hundreds of different types of cysts and pseudocysts. They can grow almost anywhere in your body.

Some cysts occur as part of another condition, such as PCOS or PKD. Some of the more common types of cysts and pseudocysts include the following:

Epidermoid cyst

These are small, benign bumps filled with the protein keratin. If you have trauma around a hair follicle within the skin, an epidermoid cyst may occur.

If part of the top layer of your skin, called the epidermis, grows deeper instead of moving outward toward the surface to eventually be shed off, an epidermoid cyst will have a chance to form.

In rare cases, epidermoid cysts can be caused by an inherited condition called Gardner’s syndrome.

Sebaceous cyst

Sebaceous cysts fill with sebum and are less common than epidermoid cysts. They often form within sebaceous glands, which are part of the skin and hair follicles.

Sebaceous glands make oil for your skin and hair. Ruptured or blocked sebaceous glands can lead to sebaceous cysts.

Breast cyst

Benign cysts can develop in your breasts when fluid collects near your breast glands. They can cause pain or tenderness in the affected area.

They commonly occur in female breast tissue in those in their 30s and 40s.

Ganglion cyst

These benign cysts usually form near the joint areas of your wrist or hand. However, they can also develop in your feet or ankle areas. The reason they form isn’t known.

Ganglion cysts tend to occur along a tendon sheath near a joint. They’re more common in women than in men.

Pilonidal cyst

Pilonidal cysts form near the top part of the buttocks. They’re usually filled with skin debris, body oils, hair, and other matter.

They occur more often in men than in women. They can develop when loose hairs become embedded in your skin.

Chronic infections in these cysts might increase your risk of a type of skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma. If you have these chronic infections, learn the symptoms of skin cancer so it can be treated early.

Ovarian cyst

Ovarian cysts often form when the follicle that normally releases an egg doesn’t open. This causes fluid to build up and form a cyst.

Another common type of ovarian cyst occurs after the follicle releases the egg and improperly recloses and collects fluid.

Ovarian cysts occur most often in those of menstrual age. They’re usually found during pelvic exams.

Ovarian cysts are associated with an increased risk of cancer when they occur after menopause.

Baker’s (popliteal) cyst

A Baker’s cyst, also known as a popliteal cyst, is a fluid-filled cyst that forms at the back of the knee.

These cysts are usually caused by problems with the knee, such as injury or arthritis. Mobility can be limited and painful with a Baker’s cyst.

Physical therapy, fluid draining, and medication can all be used to help treat a Baker’s cyst.

Pilar cyst

Pilar cysts are skin-colored, benign lumps that form on the skin’s surface. They’re not cancerous, but they can grow to a size that can be uncomfortable.

Removal is typically not necessary, but they can be removed for cosmetic purposes.

Mucous cyst

A mucous cyst is a fluid-filled lump that forms on the lip or around the mouth when the salivary glands become plugged with mucus. The most common causes of mucous cysts include:

  • lip or cheek biting
  • lip piercings
  • rupture of the salivary gland
  • improper dental hygiene

Mucous cysts will often go away on their own. However, if you have recurring or frequent mucous cysts, you may need medical treatment.

Branchial cleft cyst

Branchial cleft cysts are a type of developmental irregularity that causes a lump on an infant’s neck or below the collarbone. This cyst can look like a large skin tag.

Healthcare professionals usually recommend surgical removal to prevent future infection.

Perineural (Tarlov) cyst

A perineural cyst is a fluid-filled sac that forms on the spine.

Most people won’t have symptoms, so they won’t need treatment. If you do have symptoms, draining the fluid can help to relieve them.

Chalazia are benign pseudocysts that occur on your eyelids when the duct of the meibomian gland, an oil gland, is blocked.

These pseudocysts can cause tenderness, blurred vision, and painful swelling. If they get too big, they can cause vision problems.

Cystic acne

Cystic acne results from a combination of bacteria, oil, and dead skin clogging the pores. It’s the most severe type of acne, but it usually improves with age.

Cystic acne can look like large, pus-filled boils on the skin. It can also be painful to the touch.

If you believe you may have cystic acne, your dermatologist can prescribe medications to help treat it.

Folliculitis (ingrown hair cyst)

Folliculitis is an inflammatory and usually infectious condition. It can form when a hair grows into the skin and a pseudocyst forms near it.

These pseudocysts are often seen in people who use hair removal methods like shaving or waxing. Ingrown hair cysts are an example of folliculitis.

While ingrown hair cysts are possible, if you have bumps that appear near ingrown hairs, there’s a good chance that they’re actually razor bumps instead.

Razor bumps are also known as pseudofolliculitis barbae, which is a type of pseudofolliculitis. Unlike folliculitis, pseudofolliculitis isn’t usually infectious.

Most of the time, medical care isn’t needed to treat folliculitis or razor bumps. However, see a healthcare professional if you suspect the ingrown hair cyst or razor bump is infected.

When should you seek help for a cyst?

Schedule an appointment with a healthcare professional if your cyst becomes very painful or inflamed. This could be a sign of a rupture or an infection.

They should check your cyst even if it isn’t causing any pain or other problems. Differences in these growths can be a symptom of cancer. A healthcare professional may want to remove a tissue sample for testing.

How are cysts treated?

You should never try to squeeze or pop a cyst or pseudocyst yourself. This can lead to infection.

In some cases, they improve on their own. Putting a warm compress on a cyst can speed up the healing process by helping it drain.

In other cases, medical care is required.

Medical care

Common methods of medical treatment for cysts include a healthcare professional:

  • using a needle to drain fluids and other matter from the cyst
  • giving you medications, such as a corticosteroid injection, to reduce inflammation in the cyst
  • performing surgical removal of the cyst, which may be done if draining doesn’t work or if you have an internal cyst that’s hard to reach and requires treatment

If you’re concerned about your cyst and don’t have an established relationship with a healthcare professional, you can view doctors in your area through the Healthline FindCare tool.

What’s the outlook?

Benign cysts and pseudocysts usually don’t cause long-term problems. Sometimes they even go away on their own.

Cysts can refill after being drained. If you have a cyst that continues to refill, you may want to consider having it surgically removed.

If you have cancerous cysts, your healthcare professional will discuss treatment with you. The outlook will vary depending on the type of cancer involved.

Can cysts and pseudocysts be prevented?

Most types of cysts and pseudocysts can’t be prevented. However, there are a few exceptions.

Those prone to ovarian cysts may be able to prevent new cysts from forming by using hormonal contraceptives.

You can prevent pilonidal cysts from forming by keeping the skin in the affected area clean and dry. Getting up every so often instead of sitting for a long time can also help prevent these cysts.

Cleaning your eyelid near the eyelash line with a gentle cleanser can help keep the oil ducts from becoming blocked. This may help prevent chalazia.

Spiritual Meaning Of Breast Cysts

Approximately 1 million new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed each year world-wide. It is the most common cancer in women. Approximately 1 in 10 women will develop breast cancer. Hopefully this will change with the application of the principles that I am teaching. Earlier in this chapter I mentioned that the principles that need to be applied for healing of cancer are the same principles that when applied to your life now will prevent cancer. Ladies, I’m about to show you the biggest secret to preventing and healing of breast cancer that has ever hit this planet and I know it is true because so many females across the world are being healed.

The most common symptom of breast cancer is a hard lump that can be felt in the breast and is usually painless. Malignant breast tumors are usually firm and irregular and often produce visible signs of breast asymmetry such as flattening, dimpling or puckering of the over lying skin. It can also cause retraction of the nipple. 50% of breast cancer lumps are located in the upper outer quadrant of the breast. Other symptoms of breast cancer include swelling and dimpling of the skin

(this is called peau d’orange because the skin looks like that of an orange peel) and less commonly pain within the breast. Bleeding or discharge from the nipple can occur in advanced cancer. Sometimes breast cancer can present with a dry scaling or red weeping appearance of the nipple which is known as Paget’s disease. When the breast cancer spreads to other parts of the body, symptoms include lumps above the collar bone, bone pain, a cough or breathlessness, lethargy and tiredness, jaundice and headaches, or a sudden onset of grand mal seizures.

Breast cancer is caused by long term festering bitterness, resentment and strife between the woman with the disease and another female.
The same spiritual root is behind fibrocystic breast disease although breast cysts are not cancerous. There are other causes of breast cancer which will be mentioned later.

When you allow strife in your life – you open the door to every evil work:
James 3 v 16: “For where there is envying and strife, there is confusion and every evil work.” Strife includes bickering, arguing, fighting, heated disagreements and angry undercurrents. I explained how strife literally puts your body into a toxic state of stress. Strife causes an increase in the levels of stress hormones such as cortisol. In high levels cortisol destroys your immune system thus predisposing you to cancer, viruses and any type of bacterial, parasitic or fungal infection… Literally any evil work, just as the Word of God says.

In the background to cancer in general I also explained how long term festering bitterness can lead to the retention of toxins inside your body cells that destroy the anti-oncogenes. The cells in females that are targeted are the breast tissue because the breasts are the nurturing aspect of the female. When a female is no longer nurturing and is into a lot of strife with bitterness festering within her, the anti-oncogenes in the cells in her breasts are destroyed and she gets cancer.

Henry Wright initially saw the connection between breast cancer and bitterness between the woman with breast cancer and another female just through ministering to thousands of women with breast cancer. He became involved in their lives and found that all of them had bitterness towards their mother, mother-in-law or sister or some other female. There were two doctors, one in Taiwan and one in Denvor Colorodo who began to collaborate as Christian doctors. At first they were skeptical about Henry Wright’s teaching because he is a pastor. So these two doctors began to go back and look at their case histories to see if there really was a connection in breast cancer between the woman with the disease and bitterness and strife towards another woman. And they came to a startling observation:

• If the cysts or the tumors appear in the left breast, it is an indicator of unresolved conflict and bitterness between the female with the disease and another female who is a blood relative – that would be a mother or a sister or grandmother or an aunt.

• If the tumors or cysts appear in the right breast, it’s an indication of unresolved conflict and bitterness between the female with the disease and a non blood relative female – mother-in-law at the top of the list or a woman in the work place or a woman in the church.

• If tumors appear in both breasts, it is an indication of unresolved conflict and bitterness between that woman with the disease and both sides – blood relative and non blood relative.

I cannot explain this medically but this is holding true in 90% of case histories that have been looked at over the last 10 years. There are exceptions, for example 10% of all breast cancer is caused by mammograms and I’ll discuss this later on. I’d like to share two testimonies by Henry Wright in his experience with breast cancer:

“One of the first cases of breast cancer that I got involved with was in 1984. A lady came to me a couple of days before her surgery for a radical mastectomy (where the whole breast is removed). I got involved in her life and found that there had been competition between the females in her family, I mean sibling rivalry, and the girls were competing with their own mother for supremacy. It was a mess.

There was a tremendous amount of bickering. She had a strong root of bitterness. I got with her before God and helped her to forgive her sisters and her mother. She repented before God for this long term feud. Her mother had a history of this same type of behavior with her own sisters. These females had hated one another for generations. It was a cat fight all the way.

She had the mastectomy surgery, and coming out of surgery we were still doing ministry, dealing with spiritual roots and blocks to healing and coming before God. Her doctor said to her, “I’m going to put you Dealing with Specific Diseases on chemotherapy for 5 years.” She came and told me that her doctor wanted to do this. I said, “Well, if God has healed you and if your anti-oncogenes are present, you are wasting your time.” I suggested that she get her genes retested. She went back to her doctor and they retested her and both anti-oncogenes were present, where before they had not been. That’s a miracle! We are now 12 years down the road and
she is still alive today. Praise God! There are many other cases.”

“When I was teaching in Wycliffe, North Carolina, a lady was in the audience who had lumps in both her breasts. She heard my teaching on cancer in that conference. I was teaching there for 3 days but she did not come to me. She never said a word to me. I never even spoke to her or prayed for her, but she went home from that conference thoroughly convicted. She had simmering bitterness against her mother and her mother-in-law. She went into her prayer closet and began to repent to God for bitterness against her mother. Then in her mind these words formed, “You need to not just repent, you need to go to your mother and make it right,” So she made an appointment with her mother and admitted this long term bitterness, irritation and resentment.

She made her peace with her mother. When she was rechecked by her doctor, all lumps were gone – but in her left breast only. She went back into her prayer closet and said, “God, why only one breast?” Again in her mind these words formed,
“You’ve only done half the work. What about your mother-in-law?” Whoopsie daisy! Then she made an appointment with her mother-in-law. When she was rechecked by her doctor, all lumps had disappeared in the right breast! This was over 10 years ago, and she is well today. No one prayed for her. Sometimes it is not necessarily prayer we need. Getting right with God, ourselves and our brother is what we need.”

Now I’ve told you something very, very important – because of this knowledge you have the chance to defeat breast cancer forever in your life. Breeches between females have got to stop as it is extremely dangerous for your health. Ladies, it is very important that you make peace with all other females immediately.

Well what if they won’t make peace with me? It’s not what they do, it’s what you do. Somebody has to get spiritual here, who do you think it needs to be? On page 284 I explain how to deal with the spiritual issues behind cancer.
Other Causes of Breast Cancer

There are other causes of breast cancer which I will briefly mention: The American Medical Association came up with a startling statistic – 10% of breast cancers are caused by mammograms! A few years ago published medical reports stopped recommending mammograms but they did not tell you why. They knew that the radiation from mammograms was causing breast cancer and it has been for years. The women who get cancer from mammograms are those that are genetically pre-disposed to breast cancer. Remember in the background to cancer in general I explained that you have anti-oncogenes in your body cells that normally protect the cell from developing cancer. The anti-oncogenes that are specifically damaged leading to breast cancer are the BRCA1 gene on chromosome 17 and the BRCA2 gene on chromosome 13.

There are normally two of each type of anti-oncogene in each cell. I explained previously that there are three classes of cells in the human body:

1. Healthy cells which have two anti-oncogenes present – these cells will never become cancerous.
You cannot develop cancer when both of the anti-oncogenes are present.

2. Genetically predisposed cells which have only one anti-oncogene present. When these women have a mammogram, the radiation destroys this anti-oncogene so that there are now no antioncogenes in the cell. Thus it is transformed into a compromised cell which can become cancerous.
10% of women are genetically pre-disposed to breast cancer which is why 10% of breast cancers are caused by mammograms.

3. A compromised cell which has no anti-oncogenes present – this cell can become cancerous at any time.
Does this mean that you should never have a mammogram? Well my advice is this: First go to an oncologist and have your genes tested, especially if there is a history of breast cancer in your family (The problem with getting your genes tested though is it is very expensive – it can cost up to U.S $1000). If your cells are pre-disposed (i.e. they only have one anti-oncogene) then you must not have a mammogram
regardless of how safe they tell you it is. The amount of radiation that you are exposed to during a mammogram also depends on the technician. A unit of radiation is called a rad. The maximum amount of radiation that breast tissue should ever be exposed to in a life time is 100 rads. A normal mammogram can expose you to anywhere between 0.5 and 48 rads depending on the technician.

An over exposure to the hormone oestrogen and an under exposure to the hormone progesterone can promote breast cancer. Women who first started their menstrual periods early in life and go through menopause later in life have an increased risk of breast cancer because they have more menstrual cycles in their life time. This is because there is an oestrogen surge during each menstrual cycle that stimulates the growth of the cells of the breast. When the cells in the breast are compromised by the spiritual issues behind cancer, the additional stimulation by the oestrogen will accelerate the development of breast cancer.

That is why women who go through menopause before 45 years of age have only half the breast cancer risk of those whose menopause occurs after 55 years of age.

Women who never have children also have an increased risk of breast cancer as do those who delay having their first child until their mid or late thirties. Breast feeding and having the first child at an early age is protective against breast cancer. A hormone called prolactin is produced during breast feeding and progesterone is produced during pregnancy. These two hormones protect breast cells against oestrogen in the long term. There is also an increased risk of breast cancer associated with obesity because fat cells also produce oestrogen.

As a point of interest, this is why men with large stomachs also get bigger breasts because the oestrogen produced from the fat cells stimulates the growth of the breast tissue.

A woman who is on hormone replacement therapy can also be over exposed to oestrogen as can a woman who takes a contraceptive pill which has a very high oestrogen content.

However, remember in the background to cancer in general, I explained that when your immune system is healthy (there is no fear, anxiety, strife, bitterness etc upstream in your thought life), cancer cannot develop.
This is because the cancerous cells generated as a result of over exposure to oestrogen are detected by the policeman (interleukin 2) and eaten up by the CD8 killer T cells before they can develop into a tumor.

Deal with the issues behind Cancer

Each of these chapters that I refer you to bring to light an issue that needs to be dealt with in order to defeat cancer. I recommend that you just deal with it one issue at a time. It is like peeling an onion – remove one layer at a time and when you get to the centre, the flavor (your healing) will be released.

1. The Bible says that when we hate our brother, even when we speak against our brother with our tongue, we are a murderer (1 John 3 v 15). Under the law the penalty of murder was death. Now we can understand why the spirit of death is on the loose in cancer. If you want to get rid of cancer, it is essential that you get rid of the un-forgiveness and bitterness in your life.

2. You have got to get fear, anxiety and stress out of your life – and that includes strife!

3. There are many types of cancer associated with varying degrees of self-hatred and guilt. Building a healthy self-esteem comes from knowing who you are in Christ and placing your identity and sense of self worth in Him. You need to see yourself as God sees you. The chapter on page 498 will help you in this area.

4. In getting rid of bitterness, fear, anxiety, stress and/or a low self-esteem, guilt and self-hatred out of your thought life, you need to apply the 10 principles in the chapter on page 544. These principles are critically important in dealing with cancer – please pay very close attention to them.

5. Remember that you also need to deal with the genetically inherited component of cancer by repenting for the sins of your fathers.

6. Sometimes with cancer you need to be prepared to remove viruses (spirits of infirmity), the spirit of death and the spirit of fear – this has to be dealt with through deliverance.

I recommend that you deal with this issue with the help of a Pastor or somebody who is in spiritual authority over you. The spirit of fear, the spirit of infirmity and the spirit of death needs to be cast out.

7. There are some organs and body tissue that are irreversibly damaged by cancer. This damaged tissue and the genetic defects causing cancer need to be ministered to by operating in the gift of miracles.

You need to speak a creative miracle into being where in Jesus’ Name you need to command that body tissue and the genes to be made whole and perfect just as God created it from the foundation of the world. T“You Can’t Always Do It Alone”.

8. It is also important for you to read through the chapter called “When It’s Time To Kick The Bucket”. This is because a limited life span is associated with the diagnosis of cancer and you need to understand why your time on earth is not yet up and even if it is, God does not need a disease to get you to heaven.

Finally – Pray with Me

After reading these chapters that I have referred you to, I encourage you to speak out the following in faith and with authority:
“In Jesus Name I take authority over the spirit of fear that came in through a breech in my relationships, I take authority over the spirits of bitterness, the spirit of infirmity and the spirit of death. I break your power and I command you to go and to be cast out of my life and the generations in my family in the Name of Jesus!

I sever the lifeline to this tumor which is the blood vessels that it’s feeding on to supply itself – I command it to dry up and dissolve in the Name of Jesus! I release myself from sadness and despair. I take authority over the spirit of heaviness that has attached itself to me and break its power, in the Name of Jesus – be gone! Father I ask you to heal my broken heart (Isaiah 61 v 1) and I open my heart to receive your joy and perfect love which casts out all fear (1 John 4 v 18).

All the insecurities and the fears that are causing cortisol to be released – be gone in Jesus Name! I speak a blood transfusion into my bone marrow. I command my immune system and interleukin 2 to be restored and come back to full strength. I give my immune system and interleukin 2 an assignment to identify.
