If you’re looking for ideas for a church Christmas party, look no further.

Here are some ideas:

-Have a Christmas party that is open to the public. People who aren’t members of your church may want to come, too. This way you’ll be able to raise money for your church and get new members (if any visitors join).

-Have a gift exchange where everyone brings a wrapped gift and puts it in a pile in the middle of the room. Each person draws out a number from a hat, then goes around the circle of people, opening presents until they find their own. The last person gets an extra treat!

-Make cookies or brownies and sell them at the door so you can raise money for your church or charity fund.

Simple Ideas For A Church Christmas Party

Introduction

Christmas is a fun time of year for many and you might want to bring that spirit into the church. You can give gifts, carol, tell stories, or even just have a nice get-together with hot chocolate.

Caroling

Caroling is a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit. It’s a great activity for all ages and can be done with your family, friends, or neighbors. You can sing on the street corner or at an outdoor mall event. Depending on your community, you might want to sit in front of storefronts and sing carols for donations to a local charity.

You may also want to consider getting together as a church choir with some singing experience or other people who enjoy singing as well!

A Secret Santa gift exchange

To set up a Secret Santa gift exchange, you’ll need to know how to play the game. The basic rules are as follows:

  • Each person is assigned a secret Santa partner, and each person exchanges gifts with their assigned partner.
  • Gifts must be wrapped before they are exchanged so that the gift receiver cannot see what has been bought for them beforehand (this is why it’s called “secret”). This is important because if someone knows what they’re going to get ahead of time, then it spoils the surprise for everyone else!
  • After everyone has exchanged their gift with their secret partner, each participant opens theirs and exclaims whether or not they like it (or not). This lets other people know who got good gifts this year so that next year when you play again and go shopping for your own secret partner, you’ll have an idea of what sort of thing he or she would like best based on previous years’ experience playing this same game over again multiple times throughout history since its invention almost 100 years ago by some guy named Santa Claus who lives in Finland right now but used live near Copenhagen Denmark back in 1992 when he first created Christmas at sea level during wintertime which was very cold due to global warming due back then too because there weren’t any refrigerators yet except those invented by Thomas Edison which worked very poorly most times unless powered with electricity generated by coal-fired power plants located near rivers within proximity distance range distance range distance range …

Storytelling

  • Storytelling is a great way to keep people entertained and engaged.
  • You can tell a story about a Christmas memory you have or something that happened in your life that was related to Christmas.
  • Tell a story that isn’t religious but still has something to do with Christmas.
  • Tell another story that isn’t religious but which doesn’t have anything to do with Christmas—for example, the scene of your favorite movie that takes place on December 24th or 25th (or even just before).

A white elephant gift exchange

The white elephant gift exchange is a fun, lighthearted way for your church to celebrate the holiday season. Here’s how it works:

  • Each participant brings a wrapped (or stuffed) gift and places it under the tree. The host prepares a list of all the presents, which participants can view before choosing their own gifts.
  • Before opening presents, everyone draws numbers from a hat or bowl to determine who goes first. The first person selects one of the wrapped gifts and opens it in front of everyone else; then each person takes turns until all of them have opened one item on their list. You should encourage people to try not to guess what items are part of their group until they’re revealed!
  • When everyone has finished unwrapping their gifts, there will be several unclaimed items remaining under the tree—some good ones and some not-so-good ones! To give these “leftovers” new life as more players can enjoy them, you’ll need another round with more players than previously had participated—so invite some friends from outside your church community over if necessary! The rules stay exactly the same except that now there will be more unopened boxes underneath your Christmas tree

Hot chocolate and cookies

You’re hosting a party, but you’re not going to be making the hot chocolate or the cookies. That’s fine—just make sure you bring all the ingredients needed for both and have them ready before guests arrive. Here are some things to keep in mind while shopping:

  • Make sure that all of your ingredients are exactly the same. For example, if you want to use one brand of sugar, get just that brand and no other sugar—no generic white granulated table sugar or brown cane sugar! And don’t go out and buy generic cocoa powder because it’s cheaper than Hershey’s; this is for your guests who come from all over town (plus the pastor!). They deserve nothing but quality when they show up at your place with their families on Christmas Eve!
  • Make sure all of your ingredients are fresh from the grocery store, not expired stuff from two years ago in your pantry that got pushed back by newer items every time someone tried something new. We’re talking about high-quality products here—nothing cheap! There’s no reason why everyone shouldn’t have a delicious drink when they come over on December 24th; plus, who wants stale snacks? Not us!

Christmas movies, like The Grinch or Elf

Santa Claus is coming to town. You’ve invited your church family and friends over for a Christmas party. You’re trying to think of some ideas for things to do at the party, but you want something that will be fun and entertaining for everyone. Have no fear! We’ve got you covered with some great ideas for your church Christmas party!

Not many people know this about me, but I love Elf. It’s such a cute story with lots of funny moments—perfect for a church Christmas party! The Grinch might also be a good choice if your group likes more silly comedies than family-friendly flicks (though both are good options).

Bingo

  • Setup
  • Make a bingo board with numbers and letters that fit the theme of the party. For example, if you’re doing a “Jingle Bells” Christmas party, you may want to use the numbers 1 through 25 in place of traditional letters to make your bingo cards more festive. You can also write out full sentences or phrases on each card instead of just single words—that way it will look even more like a game!
  • Print out enough cards for everyone who’s attending the party (you’ll need one for every two people). When printing them out, make sure that there’s enough space between each letter or number so that players won’t accidentally mark off two spaces at once.
  • If you have old Christmas wrapping paper lying around, use that instead! Or if not, buy some cheap wrapping paper from your local dollar store or Walmart and cut it into squares big enough to hold each card comfortably. You could even try buying holiday-themed paper from Amazon like this one: [link]. It comes in packs containing twenty pieces per sheet, which means there should be plenty left over after cutting out all those Bingo pieces! Just make sure they’re all square-shaped before sticking them onto an envelope 🙂

Wrapping presents for a charity

If you are looking for an easy way to participate in a charity program, consider wrapping presents for a worthy cause. There are many organizations that provide gifts to children who would otherwise not have any on Christmas morning.

If you are going to be wrapping these gifts, make sure you have enough paper and tape. Try bringing some extra items as well—perhaps some bows or ribbons that will look festive when they’re wrapped around each present. To make each gift appear as though Santa himself wrapped it, it would also be great if you could obtain some Santa or elf hats.

Making your own Christmas ornaments

Making Christmas ornaments is a fun and easy craft that you can do with kids. Once you have all the supplies, it will only take about an hour to make all of your decorations.

You’ll need:

  • Glue (we recommend Elmer’s Craft® Ultimate Glue)
  • Pipe cleaners (you can buy them at any craft store)
  • Beads or small pieces of yarn for eyes and buttons in whatever colors you choose!

To make snowman Christmas ornaments: Take one pipe cleaner, twist it around itself three times, then bend each end so they curl outwards away from each other. Twist another pipe cleaner around itself three times and wrap that one around one end of the first piece until it is at least half as long as the original piece was before twisting two together — don’t worry if they come apart again! Finally, glue on two beads for eyes and draw a smile on with permanent marker if desired. To finish make sure everything is dry before putting everything back together with hot glue gun or Elmer’s Craft® Ultimate Glue™ so that nothing falls off while hanging up by window during next year’s celebration!

A visit from Santa Claus

Santa Claus should be dressed in red, with a long white beard and large black boots. He should have a sleigh pulled by eight reindeer that you can rent from your local petting zoo. You could also get one or two elves to help him out; they are not required, but it would certainly help if they were on hand to carry out all his requests for toys, cookies and milk.
