Working With Eir Goddess
I call on the Powers of the North to come and heal me.
I call on Hulda, who guards the gates of Hel.
I call on Elin, who rules over the hall of Dis.
I call on Freyja and Freyr, who sit at Odin’s side as they watch over all things good in the world.
I call upon Thor, who rules over thunder and lightning. He is said to be the mightiest of all gods, and I pray he will lend his strength to my cause.

Norse Prayer For Healing
He gives me health and healing.
The Norse god of healing is Aegir. The oldest surviving rune stones date back to around 200 AD, and these are some of the few monuments that reference Aegir. His name appears on a stone in southern Sweden, and another one in northern Norway. In Norse myth, Aegir was a giant who lived under the sea. He is known as the god of healing and sleep because he could call forth storms that would sink ships and take sailors’ lives, or calm them so they could safely reach land.
Aegir’s runes are Fehu (cattle) and Ansuz (rune master/god). The first represents wealth and abundance; the second represents strength through wisdom. Both runes were thought to have protective powers against illness or injury.

By invoking Thor, you ask for help in driving away sickness from your body. Sickness can be a formidable foe, and it is useful to have powerful allies on your side.
This prayer is particularly interesting because it does not directly ask for the removal of sickness from the body; instead, it asks for the means to drive that sickness out. You can interpret this as either an appeal for strength to overcome your illness through physical means, or as a call for spiritual help in driving away evil influences that cause illness.
Either way, this prayer calls upon mighty forces–both ancient and modern.
