Sermons for Women’s Conference

We are all precious, beautiful women. We are here because we are loved by God and because we love Him back. We have a purpose in this world and a place in His heart. And He wants us to know that we can do anything.

Even if it seems impossible, even if it seems like there’s no way you’ll ever achieve your dreams, even if you feel like your dreams are too big and too far away to ever reach them—God is with you. He is here for you, and He has a plan for your life that is greater than anything you could imagine for yourself. If you want to do something great, if you want to be someone special in this world, then let me tell you how:

First of all, leave everything behind—leave fear behind, leave doubt behind… leave everything behind except for faith in God’s goodness and mercy towards us all. Then take that faith and use it as fuel for action! Take daily action to achieve whatever dream or goal your belief in God’s goodness to all of us has inspired.

The Power of Women in the Bible

In the Bible, we see time and time again the power of women in carrying out God’s will. From Deborah, who was a judge and prophetess in Israel, to Mary, the mother of Jesus, women have played crucial roles in the story of redemption. Let us look at some examples of women who demonstrated great faith and courage in the face of adversity.

Deborah – A Warrior and Prophetess (Judges 4:4-9)

    • Deborah was a woman of great faith and courage, who led the Israelites into battle against their enemies.

    • Despite being a woman in a patriarchal society, Deborah did not let gender norms define her role in society.

    • God used Deborah to bring victory to the Israelites and to demonstrate that His power is not limited by human expectations.

Mary – The Mother of Jesus (Luke 1:26-38)

    • Mary was a young woman who was chosen by God to be the mother of Jesus, the Savior of the world.

    • Despite the risks and challenges that she faced, Mary accepted God’s call with faith and obedience.

    • Her example teaches us that God often chooses the weak and the marginalized to carry out His plans, showing that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Empowering Women in Ministry and Leadership

As we reflect on the examples of women in the Bible, let us also consider how we can empower and support women in ministry and leadership roles within the church. God has gifted women with unique abilities and talents that are essential for the body of Christ to function effectively.

Priscilla – Partner in Ministry (Acts 18:24-26)

    • Priscilla was a woman who, together with her husband Aquila, played a key role in spreading the gospel and mentoring young leaders in the early church.

    • Her example challenges us to see women as valuable partners in ministry, whose voices and gifts are essential for the growth and health of the church.

    • Let us be open to the leadership of women in our congregation, recognizing that God can use them in powerful ways to advance His kingdom.

Esther – Courageous Leadership (Esther 4:14)

    • Esther was a young Jewish woman who was chosen by God to be queen and to save her people from destruction.

    • Despite the risks involved, Esther displayed great courage and faith in standing up for justice and righteousness.

    • Her story teaches us that God equips women with the strength and wisdom to lead in difficult circumstances, reminding us that He is always with us to provide guidance and protection.

Let us honor and empower the women in our congregation, celebrating their gifts and contributions to the body of Christ. May we be inspired by the examples of women in the Bible who have shown great faith and courage in fulfilling God’s purposes. As we support and encourage women in ministry and leadership, may we see the kingdom of God advanced and His glory proclaimed throughout the world.

    Isaiah 40:28-31

Isaiah 40:28–31 says, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He does not grow weak or weary. There is no limit to his wisdom.”

The point is that the Lord never grows weak or weary! He is always strong and ready to help us through whatever comes our way. When we are feeling tired and worn out, we can look to him for strength and renewal so that we can continue on our journey with him in this life.

    John 16:33

When you are feeling discouraged and overwhelmed, Jesus tells you that He is with you and that He has overcome the world. God, the Father, is with us in our suffering. Even when we feel alone, God’s presence should give us courage and faith in spite of our circumstances.

Jesus’ words to His disciples also remind us that we are not alone when experiencing grief or loss because He experienced exactly what they were going through when they lost their friend Lazarus (John 11:33–35). The disciples felt afraid when Jesus told them that Lazarus was sick (John 11:21), but then they saw how He handled it! When faced with death itself—the ultimate enemy of humanity—Jesus was calm, peaceful, trusting, and victorious!

    Psalm 34:18

The Bible says, “[do not] be conformed to this world.” This means that we should not conform to the way the world thinks and acts. Instead, we should be different from others so that everyone knows that God is our source of strength.

We all have goals in life and many people want to achieve certain things in a short amount of time. While it’s great to set goals for yourself, you may want to consider keeping them realistic because if you don’t, you could end up disappointed or frustrated when they aren’t met right away.

In this message, I’m going to teach some fitness goals that can realistically be achieved by most people within 3-6 months

    Romans 5:3-5

This is a passage that many of you are familiar with, but it bears repeating. In this passage, Paul tells us that God’s love fills us completely and is perfect. He goes on to say that there isn’t even room for fear because we have been adopted as sons and daughters of God.

This is the good news we need to hear when faced with the challenges of life—that Jesus died for our sins so we could receive eternal life. That Christ was resurrected so that we can live with Him forever. And thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

    2 Corinthians 4:16-18

God will give us strength, endurance and hope.

What does that mean for you? It means that God’s word will carry you through everything you face in life. He will give you grace to bear up under the weight of trials, adversity and disappointments. You can live with a brave heart because your God is able to do exceedingly above all that we could ask or think!

God is with us, and he carries us through the storm.

In the book of Genesis, God says to Abraham, “I will bless you, and I will make your name great.” (Genesis 12:2) God tells us that he is with us, even when we feel like we are in a storm.

God wants us to be patient with him and trust that he will see us through whatever trouble we face because he cares about us and is compassionate toward our pain. Because of his faithfulness, we know that he will carry us through our storms as well!
