What is open air preaching? Check out Sermons for Open Air Preaching, and powerful preaching sermons. When you’re preaching to a crowd from an open air pulpit, you have a lot of flexibility in terms of the type and length of sermon you can deliver. The main thing to keep in mind is that your audience will be listening carefully for specific information, so make sure you have it all prepared before you start speaking.
Here are some tips for delivering a successful sermon for open air preaching:
- Make sure your topic is something everyone can relate to. If possible, choose something relevant to everyone in the crowd—and something they’ll find interesting enough to listen through the entire sermon.
- Try using humor where appropriate! It can really help break up the monotony of listening to someone talk at length about something that doesn’t interest them very much. Just make sure it’s appropriate for the occasion and not offensive or inappropriate in any way (no jokes about religion or politics).
Sermons for Open Air Preaching
Acts 2-5
- Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be in the crowd during Peter’s sermon on Pentecost? The Holy Spirit came down and 3,000 people were saved. That’s amazing!
- This is where the church was born. We need to remember that the gospel of Jesus Christ was given at this time for all people from every nation on earth. The gospel isn’t just for Americans, Canadians, or Europeans; it’s for everyone!
II Corinthians 5:19
The passage says that “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
As to its meaning, this scripture emphasizes that we have been made new and our old lives have been left behind. Instead of looking back at our past life or even the ways we used to live and trying to make them work for us today, God wants us to start afresh with Him. This can only happen if we receive His forgiveness and follow Him into a new life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:3-4).
II Corinthians 4:5
II Corinthians 4:5
“For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.”
Preaching is a feature of every Christian’s life. We are called to preach the Word of God wherever we go, whenever we have an opportunity. This can be done by personal testimony, as well as through our words and actions. In this passage Paul reminds us that preaching is always first and foremost about Jesus Christ and what He has done for us on the cross.
Matthew 11:28
But I say to you, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble
Revelation 22:17
“The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’ Let anyone who hears this say, ‘Come!’” (Revelation 22:17).
This verse is a call to come to God. It is an invitation for people to repent and believe in Jesus Christ. We must preach this message with urgency because there are no other options for those who do not believe in Jesus Christ. No one else can save us from our sins but Him alone!
As preachers, we also need to teach that now is the time for people to come unto Christ before it’s too late:
John 3:16-21
In verse 16, Jesus says that God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son to die for us. God sent his son so that we could have eternal life if we believe in him and have confidence in our hearts. If you don’t believe in Jesus, then you will be condemned for eternity!
The next few verses are about how all people are sinners who deserve death because of their sins but now can be saved through believing in Christ alone.

powerful preaching sermons
Dear friends, welcome! We are so glad you could join us today.
I’m going to talk about how important it is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others, because that’s what we’re here for: sharing the love of God with everyone who will listen.
We all know the story of Jesus—how he was betrayed by his own people, tortured, and killed on a cross. But what we don’t always think about is how much pain he went through so that we could be saved. That’s why we have to continue sharing his story with everyone around us—because it’s an amazing story of sacrifice and love, and it deserves to be told over and over again.
So today I want to challenge you: take a moment before you leave here today and ask yourself: “What can I do to share the love of God with someone else?” Then go out there and do it!
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
