Scavenger Hunt For Church

Scavenger hunt for church is a fun-filled activity that helps your children understand the Bible and their faith. Kids take a quiz before they begin and then they are given clues or hints to help them solve religious puzzles and find their way around. They can also use their imaginations to solve the riddles.

Have you ever wondered what the word ‘spiritual’ means in your life? If a church doesn’t have this type of activity within its walls, then it has little to no spirituality. Now, I’m not saying that all churches should be doing this type of activity, but if we don’t all come together as one and share our faith with each other, then what’s the point? This scavenger hunt will help bring all members together while also providing great insight into your Bible knowledge when you complete it!

Types of Bible Scavenger Hunts

There are several different types of Bible scavenger hunts; let’s explore a few.

Outdoor Bible Scavenger Hunt

Also known as a nature Bible scavenger hunt. This is one of my favorites to do, especially in the summer months. Participants have fun outdoor in nature finding objects that tie into biblical concepts. For example, participants could be provided with the Bible verse Psalms 62:6. “He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be moved.” The item that they would go searching for that ties into the verse in this case would be a rock.

This is a fun activity to do with kids especially on nature walks. Keep them busy exploring nature while engaging with God’s word. I have included a outdoor Bible scavenger hunt pdf which you can download below!

Indoor Bible Scavenger Hunt

This is the perfect rainy day activity! Similar to an outdoor Bible Scavenger Hunt, participants find objects around the home that tie into a biblical concept. They could also involve using clues to find things in the Bible. The first team that finds all the objects, wins the game. Since its indoors, this would also be a good option for a zoom group Bible activity. I have included a indoor Bible scavenger hunt pdf which you can download below!

Topical Bible Scavenger Hunt

During Christmas or Easter, I like finding Bible games to enhance lessons surrounding Christ birth or resurrection. This would go perfect with a Christmas Bible Reading Plan by the way! Whether you opt to do a Easter Bible Scavenger Hunt or a Christmas Bible Scavenger Hunt, these bible activities are a great compliment to such a themed event.
