Crucible Prayer For Marines

The Crucible Prayer for Marines is a powerful and impactful prayer, which was written to give Marines the strength and courage needed to face any challenge they might encounter. This prayer is also used in Marine boot camps all around the world, as well as in other military training programs. The Crucible Prayer for Marines has been around since the early 1900s and has withstood the test of time because it is so effective.

Dear God, We thank you for the protection You have provided our recruits thus far, and we ask that You continue to watch over them as they enter into the “Crucible”.

Crucible Prayer For Marines

This prayer is written to help you get through the crucible of being a Marine, but it can be used for any challenge or trial you may face. It’s also great for those of you who are veterans and need a reminder of why you joined the Corps or want to remember what it was like when you were in the Corps.

This prayer is not just for those who are currently serving, though—it’s also for those considering joining up, those who have been discharged from service, and even family members who might be wondering how their loved one can survive the life of a Marine.

Prayer is a powerful way to process and release emotional stress, but it can be difficult to find the right words when you’re in the middle of a stressful situation.

One of the best ways to pray during times of stress is by using a prayer that has been written specifically for marines.

Marines Prayer

THE MARINE’S PRAYER
Almighty Father, whose command is over
all and whose love never fails, make me
aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy
will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding
me against dishonesty in purpose and deed
and helping me to live so that I can face my
fellow Marines, my loved ones and Thee
without shame or fear. Protect my family.
Give me the will to do the work of a Marine
and to accept my share of responsibilities
with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the
courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my
superiors and to the duties my country and
the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Make
me considerate of those committed to my
leadership. Help me to wear my uniform
with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the
traditions which I must uphold. If I am
inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am
tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should
miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant
me wisdom by which I may understand the
answer to my prayer.
Amen

Living for Christ (Philippians 1 Bible Study)
Teaching, Bible Study, Philippians, Holy Spirit
We are called to live for Christ through the Power of His resurrection. It is the Holy Spirit which empowers us for ministry and Christian living. Jesus Himself had to be baptised in the Spirit before He entered into Ministry, and for us, it is this same Holy Spirit which was in Christ, that will infill us and make us perfect and complete at the return of Christ.

Chosen to be a son of God
Christian Life, Church Growth, Evangelism, Teaching
God has chosen you to build His house here on earth. No, it is not a physical building, this ‘house’ we build is to reveal God’s Glory and Majesty to an unbelieving world. God says to King David in 1 Chronicles 28, ‘Solomon your son is the one who will build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.’ This chapter highlights how amazing our relationship with God is, He calls us His sons and daughters

The world has changed
Christian Life, End Times, Faith
I draw comfort from the story of Elijah. There is a very strong message for us in 1 Kings 17.1, that when we are working for God, the source of our supply will never dry up. What I need, what I lack, will not stop the supply of the Anointing Oil of the Holy Spirit and the Bread of the Word of God in my life. The Word of God and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit will never fail me, even in a time of drought.

Effectiveness of a powerful faith
Christian Life, Church Growth, Ephesians, Holy Spirit, Faith, Miracles
Faith has been the motivation behind my life! Right from the beginning I’ve wanted to please God. When I received the Holy Spirit aged 15, I knew 1 Corinthians 12 says there are nine gifts, and Paul says choose, covet the best gifts… I can pray in tongues ‘more than anybody’, I can prophesy. But the one gift I wanted more than any other was the gift of faith.

Living Sacrifice – Holy and Pleasing unto God
Christian Life, Faith, Servanthood
God so impressed Romans 12:1 on me when I was a teenager: ‘I beseech you to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.’ God is talking about normal service, nothing exceptional – for every believer – the norm. Today the churches are talking about being normal, taking care of yourself, not working too hard… But the challenge is ‘reasonable service’ – giving your whole life as a ‘living sacrifice’! Everything! God didn’t call me to be an ‘evangelist’ or a ‘preacher’ – He said He wanted ALL of me!

The miracle of answered prayer, Part 3
Faith, Prayer, Miracles
Don’t be discouraged. I want you to get a Vision of what God can do in and through your life! Get into your ‘watchtower’ and pray until God answers you and shows you His Power and His Glory! O Father, open people’s eyes, let them get into that place in the ‘watchtower’ where You answer them when they cry to You, “How long are You silent?” O God, be not silent, but show Your Power and Your Glory! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The miracle of answered prayer, Part 2
Christian Life, Faith, Prayer, Miracles, Teaching
Looking back over more than 70 years of ministry, seeing the difficult times I’ve been through – God has never failed me! There have been ups and there have been downs in my life, but as the Bible said, “The Lord answered me!” Sometimes in our lives we need the patience to wait for the fulfilment of God’s Promises.

The miracle of answered prayer, Part 1
Faith, Prayer, Miracles
There are periods in our lives when it seems God is not answering. But that does not mean God is not there, that He’s not listening. The communist prison was the worst time in my life – yet God used it to work one of the biggest miracles in my life! When I look back, I thank God for that time! Like Habakkuk, there are times when we have to go through the despair, “How long will I cry and You will not hear?!”

The Power of the Resurrection
Christian Life, Salvation, Return of Christ
I want you to realise, whether you are in suffering, pain, or are facing death, that is only a looking forward to eternity; our resurrection into new life. Too many old people view their lives as behind them. No! Our lives are in front of us. I want you all to grasp this Power of the Resurrection, the Power of this Hope in Christ.

The Lord will answer you!
Christian Life, Prayer
There are times when it seems we have to go even through despair, as individuals and as nations. This was the experience of the prophet Habakkuk, and of Israel. Habakkuk begins in Chapter 1:2 saying, “O Lord, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear?!”
