Prayer to forgive

I have been a sinner all my life. I have done so many wrong things in my life, but today I am coming before you Lord Jesus Christ and asking for forgiveness for all my sins. You are the only one who can forgive me and give me peace of mind in this world.

Section:

  • Pray for forgiveness and forgetfulness. Sometimes, it can be hard to forgive yourself or others who have hurt you in the past. But when we pray for forgiveness and forgetfulness, we are asking God to help us release all negative feelings about the past so that we can focus on living our lives in peace and happiness today.
  • Forgive yourself. If there is something that you’re holding onto from your past or present life, reflect on how much this could be affecting your current relationship with God. Then ask for His help in forgiving yourself for whatever it might be (such as a mistake or failing).

Lord God, I come before you to ask for your forgiveness.

  • Pray to God and ask him for forgiveness.
  • Ask God to protect you from all harm.
  • Ask God to give you peace of mind and soul as you forgive yourself and others by letting go of grudges, resentment, anger, hatred and any other negative emotions that may be holding you back from living a fulfilling life.

Lord God, I come before you to ask for your forgiveness. You are the creator and the universe is everything that exists and you are the one who knows everything. You know my mistakes and sins I have done in my life. I have been prideful and arrogant.

You know what happened to my parents, sister, brother and friends because of this attitude towards others. I was already aware of their personalities but chose not to understand them or care about them as much as I should have because of selfishness on my part.

Prayer to forgive

I am truly sorry for hurting your creation by not showing love and compassion towards others around me even though they were trying their best to help me out during difficult situations in life when they could’ve easily left me behind instead but didn’t because they loved me still despite all my faults.”

I have been giving more importance to other things rather than you Lord.

If you are one of those who have been giving more importance to other things rather than You, then it is time for me to repent and ask for your forgiveness. I am sorry for focusing on material things instead of you, my Lord. I have selfishly loved my own happiness and not focused on the need to glorify You in everything I do.

I am truly sorry that I did not value our relationship enough, because it is a gift from you that cannot be replaced with anything else in this world!

I have sinned against you and your word Lord. Please forgive me Lord Jesus Christ. In this world there is no one like you Lord, who can take away all my sins, who can save me from this sinner’s life, only you Lord Jesus Christ can forgive all my sins with just a prayer.

Prayer for protection and safety from evil forces/spirits:

Father God in Heaven, I come before Your throne with my heart open wide for You to hear my cries for help and deliverance from anything that would stand between me and receiving Your blessings and favor in my life today. I know that You are the One who gives us our daily bread; therefore I pray that You would send angels to protect us from all harm while we travel through this day! Please give us wisdom so we may escape the schemes of our enemies; guard our steps as we move along on this journey toward our destiny, until we arrive safely home again at nightfall! Thank You Father God! In Jesus’ Name Amen!”

Lord Jesus Christ please forgive me for all my sins that I have committed knowingly or unknowingly. You are the only one Lord Jesus Christ who can forgive me and give me peace of mind and soul. All these days I was running from pillar to post in search of peace. Only after knowing about your existence I got peace in my mind and soul. Please help me keep this peace forever Lord Jesus Christ and destroy all the evil thoughts that are disturbing my mind every now and then.

Thank you for granting my prayer Jesus!

Dear Lord, thank You for forgiving me and cleansing me from all unrighteousness. Thank You that there is now no condemnation for me (Romans 8:1). Thank You that You have paid the price for my sins on the cross so that I can be reconciled with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Lord, I thank You and praise You that I am forgiven. Thank You for the precious blood of Jesus, Your Son and my Savior, which cleanses me from ALL sin!

Forgiveness is the act of setting aside a debt or offense. Forgiveness is a very personal thing, but it also has to do with the relationship you have with God. The Bible says in Psalm 103:12, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” When you ask for forgiveness from God, He forgives your sins and washes them away as if they never happened!

This means that when we make wrong choices or say something mean to someone else, God does not remember those things anymore. In fact, He has completely forgotten about them because He chose instead to focus on His love for us and His desire for us to grow closer into who we were created to be!

When we receive Christ (meaning when we accept Him as Lord), we are cleansed from all sin by His blood—and this includes any lying or cheating or stealing offenses that have been committed in our past lives (too many times probably!). This means that when we repent (turn away) from these kinds of things going forward; then God no longer sees those actions as sinful acts committed against Him anymore.

Prayer to forgive sins

I ask for the complete removal of my unforgiveness and the hurts associated with it. Instead, I choose to forgive those who have hurt me. I renounce bitterness, resentment, and retaliation for anything that has ever been done to me.

Forgiveness is a choice. It does not mean you forget what happened, condone the behavior of others, or reconcile with them. Forgiveness means letting go of unforgiveness and all its hurts.

The person who has hurt you may never know how deeply their actions affected you. But it’s important that you allow yourself to heal from the pain caused by this person—because your own healing will help release them from their burden and guilt as well.

Cleanse my heart from all unrighteousness and cleanse my body from all diseases caused by bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness and other sins.

  • Thank God for the forgiveness of sins.
  • Ask God to forgive you.
  • Ask God to forgive others who have hurt you and caused bitterness in your heart.
  • Ask that God remove all bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness from your heart and body by the power of His Holy Spirit, that you may be filled with love and joy towards all men (1 Thessalonians 5:8).

Thank You that there is now no condemnation for me. I have been set free!

Thank You that there is now no condemnation for me. I have been set free!

Thank You for healing my heart and mind, to be able to see things as they really are.

Thank You that I am forgiven—completely forgiven—and completely loved by You.

I want to forgive as You have forgiven me, but it’s hard because of the pain I feel inside. Help me remember that Your love covers a multitude of sins; help me accept Your forgiveness even when it doesn’t erase the hurt and anger in this situation or in my own heart. Please teach me how to find peace within myself despite what has happened between us, so that I can move forward with joy instead of bitterness toward others and toward myself.”

Shed Your love abroad in my heart, Lord Jesus. Help me to love unconditionally as You love me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit to overflowing!

It is a fact that you can’t force someone else to love you. You have to make a decision about whether or not you will continue to love them, and then commit yourself to that choice.

In the same way, it is also true that we cannot force God’s love upon ourselves. We each have a choice: do I want Him? Do I want His unconditional, everlasting love? If so, then this is what I need to do:

  • Pray every day for an outpouring of His Spirit in my life (Ephesians 5:18)
  • Love others as Christ loves me–unconditionally! (John 13:34)
  • Become more like Christ every day by loving others with compassion and mercy (Matthew 25:31-46)

Prayer for god to forgive you

Help me not to let the sun go down on my wrath or give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:26-27). Enable me to walk in love toward others so that they may see Christ living in and through me.

  • Help me not to let the sun go down on my wrath or give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:26-27). Enable me to walk in love toward others so that they may see Christ living in and through me.
  • Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors (Matthew 6:12). Forgiveness is a gift from God; it is given by His grace and mercy when we ask Him for it. It is often difficult or even impossible for us to forgive someone who has hurt us or wronged us personally, but God offers His forgiveness freely to each of us because He loves us unconditionally. It is only because of His mercy that we can receive forgiveness for ourselves if we confess our sins and repent (1 John 1:9).

this prayer is simply a guide; please feel free to add your own words of confession, repentance, commitment and praise as led by the Holy Spirit.

Prayer is a conversation with God. It’s a two-way street, and the Holy Spirit is the guide who helps us walk it. While we often think of prayer as something we do alone and in silence, it’s important to remember that Jesus told us to pray in secret (Matt 6:6).

The Bible says “don’t forget to pray for others” (Heb 5:14). In other words, don’t forget that your prayers are not just meant for yourself but also for others who need God’s love and mercy just like you do!

In this way of thinking about prayer, even if someone else doesn’t feel led by God to forgive you or hear their own confession of sin against you at this moment in time (which they may not), then please understand that they are still being led by the Holy Spirit through your efforts at reconciliation with them on behalf of Christ—the ultimate example of forgiveness in our world today.

If you feel led, share this prayer with others who need it. If you have any questions or comments about this prayer, please feel free to leave them in the box below.

Please help me Lord Jesus Christ in my journey of life. You are the only one Lord Jesus Christ who can save me from this sinner’s life and give me peace of mind and soul. I know that you will never leave me alone, no matter what happens in my life. Thank you for your love and mercy towards me Lord Jesus Christ.
