Prayer To Deliver Like A Hebrew Woman

Isaiah 66:7 Before I go into labor, I give birth! Before my contractions begin, I deliver a boy! 8Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen this? Can a country be brought forth in one day? Can a nation be born in a single moment? Yet as soon as I go into labor I give birth to sons! 9“Does God bring a baby to the birth opening and then not deliver it?” asks the LORD. “Or does He bring a baby to the point of delivery and then hold it back?” asked my God. 10 Be happy for me and rejoice with me, all you who love me! Share in my great joy, all you who have mourned over me

In this post, we will discuss Prayer To Deliver Like A Hebrew Woman, Prayer for overdue pregnancy, Hebrew women. The Bible records several of the prayers uttered by the Hebrew women. These prayers were written into Holy Scripture because they represented invaluable provisions that these women received from God in their time of need. These women experienced life-shaping moments in their lives through divine intervention and answered prayer! The truths and promises recorded in these prayer scriptures has always been applicable to human nature, but it is now more than ever, that this type of prayer is needed in our culture.

bible verses for labor and delivery

Earlier this week, my heart was heavy as I heard the story of a man who lost his wife and child during childbirth, because the wives’ mother had a vision or premonition, that if they did surgical delivery, the wife would die. In 2016AD. Maternal mortality in Nigeria is one of the highest in the world, largely due to the unsafe quality of our health care system. But there are still countless (avoidable) deaths like this story, that arise simply from mere ignorance. Hosea 4:6 — my people perish for lack of knowledge.

The Myth of the Hebrew Woman

Midwives of freedom
“The midwives said to Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women aren’t like the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them” — Exodus 1:19

Hebrew women

I’m writing to you in the hope of finding a woman who will help me pray for a friend of mine who is pregnant for the first time and has been trying for about 2 years. She has been diagnosed with an incompetent cervix and her doctor told her that she would have to have a c-section. She then got pregnant naturally and had an ultrasound done at around 6 weeks which showed no heartbeat. She was devastated and continued to take progesterone suppositories until she miscarried at 14 weeks.

This time, she is back on progesterone suppositories but they are not working. Her OB says that she has no idea why this is happening as it should be working by now (it’s been about 3 months since conception). I am asking if anyone can offer any prayers or thoughts on how we can help her conceive again naturally? Thank you so much!

The Ancient Hebrew women were known for having multiple children. In fact, Sarah had six sons with Abraham and she was considered an old woman at that time. There are some people who think this is a myth; however, it is not true. Even the Bible mentions this fact in Genesis 25:1-2.

The most important thing to remember when doing this prayer is that you need to be sincere and honest with God when praying for an overdue pregnancy. If you are not truthful with yourself or with God then you will never get what you want.

When praying for an overdue pregnancy, make sure there are no distractions around you when doing so (especially television). It’s also important that your mind is clear and calm before starting the prayer session because it will help with the effectiveness of the prayer.

Before starting off with your prayer session make sure that your mind is clear from all negative thoughts and feelings towards anyone else besides God himself because these can affect your life negatively if left unchecked over time.

In addition, make sure that when you start off with this

From the midwife’s statement, and assuming it true, all we know about Hebrew women is: (i) they are vigorous; and (ii) they give birth before the midwife arrives. So on vigor, maybe the Egyptian women are less vigorous than the Hebrew, or the Egyptian women are not vigorous at all. In any case, we’re unable to determine where Nigerian women fall on this “vigorous” spectrum. On the second point, one can infer that the Egyptian women did not give birth before the midwife arrived though there are several ways to unpack it, the midwives could have arrived late at the scene of the Hebrew women delivery for a myriad of reasons — maybe the Hebrew women lived far or the midwives just took their sweet time in getting there.

But why even bother with the minutiae of the statement when if you read the verse in context it is clear that that the midwives lied. They told a big fat lie because they did not want to be part of Pharaoh’s evil scheme to murder male babies. If I were a midwife then, I would have lied too, and more confidently — like saying the Hebrew women don’t even make any sounds during labour or that they just pull out the baby from under them while casually walking in the park.

Prayer for overdue pregnancy

I prayed for this pregnancy for many months, and I am due in one week. My baby is not coming yet, and my doctor says I am dilated only 1 cm. Please pray that my baby is healthy and that God will bless me with a normal delivery.

I have been praying for my friend who is pregnant and has a high risk of delivering before 40 weeks. She has been experiencing some bleeding but has had no other symptoms of early labor. Please pray that she will be able to deliver her baby at full term.

I am 28 weeks pregnant and hoping everything goes well during the next few weeks. I would like to receive prayer for my baby to grow stronger in these final weeks of pregnancy.

In the past, I’ve written about healing from miscarriage and infertility. But this time around, I’m going to be writing about healing from success.

I’m currently pregnant with my third child (he’s due in June). I’ve been lucky enough to have my other two pregnancies go well and have had an easy time carrying them both to term. But this time around, it’s been a different story.

This pregnancy has been filled with anxiety and fear. Not only because of the stress of being pregnant as a single woman in your 40s (I’m 42), but also because there have been so many obstacles along the way that could have ended up in another miscarriage or stillbirth.

About six weeks into this pregnancy, I started bleeding heavily and had to be rushed to the hospital for an emergency surgery to remove my placenta because it was growing into my uterus and causing serious damage if left untreated. The doctors told me they had never seen anything like it before! Thankfully, they were able to remove it without harming me or our baby boy, but we were very concerned about how long it would take for me to heal after such major surgery during pregnancy (especially since I already had two c-sections).

After recovering from surgery

So you are probably as confused as I am as to how reference to this scripture is now propagated as “vaginal childbirth versus surgical childbirth”; and of course, that vaginal is better. And this ignorant notion continues to spread like wild fire.

There is no such thing as giving birth like a “Hebrew woman”. Vaginal childbirth is not better than surgical childbirth. So as often as we can, let’s educate one another that the most important thing about childbirth is the well-being of the mother and baby.
