Prayer for Prophets
Dear God,
I pray for the prophets who are struggling with their faith. I pray that you will take them in your arms and comfort them, even if they do not feel worthy of your love. I pray that you will show them how much they mean to you, and that they will feel the warmth of your embrace after they have given up on themselves.
Please give these prophets a sense of purpose again. Please help them to see what is true and right in this world, and give them the strength to stand up for it. Help them find their voice again so that they can speak up for what is right. Give them a reason to believe again, so that they can inspire others who are facing similar struggles with their own faiths.
I pray these things because there are many people out there like me who need inspiration from these prophets—people who can’t find their own way back home without guidance from those who have gone before us on this path toward God.
Dear Lord,
We pray for your prophets. We pray that you will give them the strength to follow your plan and to lead us in the direction we should go. We pray that you will send them messages through dreams, visions, and other divine communications. We pray that they will know how to interpret these messages and apply them to their lives and ours. We pray that they will not be deceived by false teachers or prophets who come to them with their own agendas. We pray that they will always speak with authority from God, knowing what is true and right. We pray that they will not be swayed by popular opinion or worldly desires but only seek to serve you as best as they can, even if it means suffering persecution or death for their beliefs. We pray that you will protect them from harm in any way possible so that they may continue serving you without hindrance until the end of their lives here on earth, and afterward, when their time comes, we ask that you continue using them to reach others with your word through visions and dreams, at least until the end of time itself (if possible).
