Prayer for meeting

Father, we thank you for this time of meeting. We ask that you would bless us, direct us, and give us all the wisdom we need to make sound decisions together. Help us to be a blessing to one another and our community as we serve you in this capacity.

O God,

You might want to pray for guidance and wisdom, knowing that you can’t do this alone. Ask God to provide discernment so that you know who is right for the job (and who isn’t). Ask Him for strength and courage so that you can stand strong in the face of opposition and push back against those who may try to sabotage your work.

meet with us today

We pray to you, God, the creator of all. We pray to you, God, the sustainer of all. We pray to you, God, the ruler of all. We pray to you, God, the judge of all. We pray to you, God – provider for our needs. We pray to you who heals us when we’re sick and protects us from danger; who makes flowers grow in springtime; who takes care of birds and animals so they can live happily together with people on earth!

We ask these things through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen

we pray,

Dear God,

We pray that you would guide our thoughts, actions and words this evening. We ask for your wisdom as we make important decisions regarding the future of our organization. We thank you that we can meet in a safe place where we can gather together to brainstorm ideas and discuss ways to improve ourselves. We pray that this meeting will be productive and a good use of time. We pray for those who are present tonight as well as those who aren’t here but would like to participate in future meetings if possible.

and bless our deliberations.

Prayer can help you get into a meeting with the right mindset and attitude. Ask God to guide you in your discussions, saying something like “Lord, please help us be open-minded and listen to each other.” Then, ask that whatever decisions are made will be fair and just.

Finally, ask God’s blessing on the meeting: “Please give us wisdom as we seek Your guidance.”

Guide us in all our doings with your most gracious favor, and further us with your continual help; that in all our works begun, continued, and ended in you, we may glorify your holy Name, and finally by your mercy obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O God, who hast given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplications unto thee; and dost promise that when two or three are gathered together in thy Name thou wilt grant their requests; Fulfill now, O Lord, the desires and petitions of thy servants as may be most expedient for them; granting us in this world knowledge of thy truth and grace to fear thee; and in the world to come life eternal. Amen.

Thank you for loving us and giving us another day to come together in unity.

God, thank you for giving us the opportunity to meet with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We ask that you help us find peace and unity with one another, as we seek your will through this meeting today. Father God, we know that it is through your power that all things are unified, including ourselves—your children! Help us today to bring about a sense of unity within our community.

“`

God, we ask that you will keep us strong and united during this time. Strengthen our resolve to know that you are the only one who can make us strong and unite us. We know that in unity there is strength, so we pray for your wisdom in helping us find unity with each other through these discussions. May we find a way to work together for the good of all people in our communities, no matter what decisions are made or how things will turn out. Help us work together to strengthen our relationships with those around us as well as with you.“`

Please help us to be mindful of each other and what each person has to bring to this meeting.

  • Please help us to be mindful of each other and what each person has to bring to this meeting.

  • Help us to remember that everyone has something unique and valuable that can contribute.
  • Help me (and others) be mindful of what I (they) have to bring.

Help us to find unity in our discussions, even if there are differences in opinions or concerns brought up.

As we conclude our meeting, let us remember that unity is an important goal. Differences in opinions and concerns can help us to grow together as a family, so long as they are handled with love and respect. Unity is not conformity, it’s not uniformity, and it’s not unanimity.

Please pray for each other during this time of closure:

  • That all will be blessed with the spirit of peace which passes all understanding.*
  • That God’s blessing may rest on all present here today.*

May this meeting go well and may it bring good results in all aspects of life.

  • May our plans for the future be fruitful and productive.

In the name of Jesus Christ, the one who unifies all things, Amen!

Now that you’re done with your meeting, let’s close in prayer. In the name of Jesus Christ, the one who unifies all things, Amen!

Jesus Christ is the ultimate unifier: he brings people together and helps us to be united as one body. At this point you may find it helpful to reflect on how your group can draw closer together in love and unity by keeping the spirit of these prayers alive within your group.

May we live each day according to your plan with grace and joy.

At the end of our meeting, we pray that God will give us his grace to live every day according to his plan with grace and joy.

Grace is a gift from God to us, which makes salvation possible. Grace is the power of God that makes salvation possible. Grace is the source of all good things; it’s what enables us to do good things and receive them from others. Grace is the free and unmerited favor of God toward man (Titus 2:11-14). It’s also called “the love of God poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit” (Romans 5:5).

We ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

“Amen.” This is the concluding prayer of the meeting. It is a way of saying, “I pray it may be so.”

“Christ our Lord.” Jesus Christ is the savior who died for us on the cross and rose from the dead to give us eternal life. He is Lord over all creation and our salvation depends on Him alone. We pray this through Him, asking that He would hear our prayers and grant them graciously.

“Lord Jesus Christ.” Our God is Savior; He has saved us by His grace in His Son’s death on Calvary’s Cross, where He was crucified between two thieves (Luke 23:33). In this prayer we acknowledge His love in providing salvation through His own suffering and death as payment for our sinfulness, which separated us from God forever had He not intervened in such a way as to bring about redemption through Himself alone (Romans 5:8).

Conclusion
