    prayer for mean people

    Dear Lord,

We pray for the mean people of the world, who are so focused on themselves and their own petty concerns that they forget to be kind. We pray for them to find the happiness that comes from giving to others, rather than simply taking from them. We pray for them to learn how much more fulfilling it is to help others than to hurt them. We pray that someday, they will realize their own mistakes and regret their actions. But most of all, Lord, we pray that you would show these people the kind of love and compassion they deserve—just as you showed us—so that they may see You in those around them and learn to love as You love us all.

    Dear God,

Please help me to be more patient with mean people.

I know that they are hurting and that their anger comes from fear and pain, but it is hard for me to be nice to them when they hurt me. Please help me to see them as You see them, as lost children who need love and compassion instead of anger or judgment. Help me to be a light in their darkness and show them the way home. Amen

    Dear Lord,

I pray for the people who are mean to me. I pray that they will find peace. I pray that they will find love. I pray that they will find joy. I pray that they will find forgiveness.

I pray for the people who said things to me that hurt my feelings, who made fun of me when I was sad and alone, who made fun of my clothes, who made fun of my body and told me I would never be good enough for anyone.

I pray for the people who made up lies about me so no one would like me or talk to me anymore; who told everyone that I was a slut or a whore just because they didn’t like the way I looked or talked; who spread rumors about how many partners I’ve had or what kind of person I am behind closed doors even though we’re not even friends anymore anyway; who tried to make me feel bad about myself just because it’s easier than listening when someone wants help or support from someone else but not them specifically—and especially not when they’re trying to get over something themselves too!

I pray for those people too because even though it may seem like they’re doing better than ever right now (and maybe they are)

prayer for when someone upsets you

    Dear God,

I know you love me, but I also know you have a sense of humor. So I’m asking that you help me find it when it comes to mean people. Please help me to see the good in them, even if they don’t think they have any. Help me see that they are not evil or intentionally trying to hurt me; they just don’t know any better. In these situations, give me the strength to keep my cool and let go of the anger and frustration that often accompanies this type of interaction. Give me wisdom and patience so that I can respond kindly and lovingly to those who are not kind or loving toward me. Help me remember that when someone is mean to me, it doesn’t take away from how special I am and how much you love me. In fact, your love is so strong and powerful that it can overcome any obstacle—even meanness!

Thank you for always being there for me when things are hard; especially when I feel like giving up hope or losing faith in humanity. Thank you for being my best friend and confidant; helping guide my path through life with grace and compassion even when others fail miserably at doing so themselves 🙂

    Dear God,

I know that there are mean people in the world, but I also know that You can help me to deal with them. Please give me the strength to stand up for myself and the courage to be true to myself. Help me to see those who are cruel and unkind as opportunities for me to show kindness, compassion, and love.

Help me to remember that You have a plan for each of us, and there is a reason why these mean people are here. May this be a lesson for them—and may they learn from their mistakes so that they may become better people in the future.

Enable me to forgive those who have hurt me, even if it was unintentional or done out of ignorance or misunderstanding.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen

    Dear God,

Please bless all of the mean people. Please give them unconditional love, even when they don’t ask for it. Please help them to see their own light, and to be happy with who they are.

They need you more than anyone else does right now.

    Dear Lord,

We come before you today with the prayer that you would bless the lives of all those who are mean to us. We know that they say they don’t mean any harm, but we pray that they will be able to see the value in being kind and considerate in their interactions with others.

We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen

    prayer for a deceitful person

    Dear God,

I know that you’re busy and I don’t want to bother you with my problems. But there’s this one mean person who is always trying to hurt me, and I don’t know what to do. They say things that are not true about me, they spread rumors about me, they say things that make other people not like me. This person doesn’t even know me! And yet they act like they do.

I know that this is a tough problem for you to fix, but I’m asking you anyway: please make this person stop being mean to me! Please make them see how wrong it is for them to be so cruel and hostile towards other people. Please show them your love and kindness instead of their selfishness and cruelty. Amen
