Prayer for marriage

Prayer for marriage is the way to align your will and heart with God’s will and heart. When you pray, you surrender all of your desires to God. If your desire is for a happy marriage, prayer helps you be at peace with wherever that marriage is right now—whether it’s filled with love or in need of healing. Prayer also empowers us by giving us strength to make the right decisions when we face difficult situations in our relationships.

Marriage is a union of two souls.

Marriage is a union of two souls. This means that when you join with someone, your lives are no longer yours alone but have become intertwined with theirs. God blesses this union in order to create a better environment for raising children and serving others. If you find yourself in love or committed to someone right now, know that God has given you this gift as an opportunity to share your life with another person and help them grow closer to Christ every day!

The cycle of prayer for marriage

This prayer cycle is a great way to start your day. It’s also a good way to end your day, but I recommend starting with prayer for marriage and then going in reverse order.

  • Asking God for yourself. Ask God for the things that you need, whether it’s physical health or peace of mind or financial security; whatever it is, ask him first before anything else (Eph 3:20).
  • Praying for your spouse and marriage. Ask God to bless them with health and wealth so they can meet their needs (1 Tim 5:8), then pray that they would be blessed with peace and joy in Christ (Php 4:7). Pray specifically about any difficult areas in your relationship right now, asking him to guide you through those tough times together like he did Jacob when he wrestled an angel until dawn (Gen 32:24-32).
  • Praying for the children God has given you as gifts from the Lord himself. Remember all those cute moments when they were babies? Those sweet little laughs? The way they’d smile at you when you came home from work? Now imagine those same kids grown up — imagine how much love there could be between two people who were once so small! This is what makes marriage so amazing; it gives us opportunities like this one every day (Eph 5:22-33).

Steps to pray for your marriage

  • Pray for your spouse.
  • Pray for your marriage.
  • Pray for your relationship with God.
  • Pray for your relationship with yourself (you can also include asking God to help you forgive yourself and others, which is a powerful way to release past hurts).
  • Pray for your relationship with others (including family members).

Prayer helps you surrender to God’s will and be at peace with wherever your marriage is at.

Prayer is a way to communicate with God. It’s a way of showing gratitude, saying thanks for all the things he has given you. Prayer can help you feel closer to God, as well as your spouse and the people around you who are important in your life.

Prayer also helps you surrender to God’s will and be at peace with wherever your marriage is at. If there are things that need improving, it can be comforting to know that God will take care of them when the time is right!

Prayer for My Husband’s Protection and Safety

Dear Lord, I pray for my husband’s protection and safety. Please protect him as he goes to work each day. Keep him safe from harm and danger when he is on the job or out in public. Thank you for your love and care! In Jesus’ name we pray.

Lord, I pray for protection and safety over my husband’s life. I pray Your divine protection from the evil one and all of his schemes. Give him Your shield of faith in the battle against temptation and evil, especially at work. Let him lose all desire to be unfaithful, but to only keep his eyes and mind pure. Let him see the good in others, even when they are not good to him or me. Protect his health in every way—physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Lord, I pray for my husband’s protection and safety as he works in dangerous conditions. Give him Your shielding presence while he is on the job so he can be safe, attentive, aware of his surroundings, and focused on the task at hand. Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for this beautiful day and for the opportunities it presents us to love you more and draw closer to you. I confess my sins and repent from all of them. Cleanse me with your Blood Jesus, and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Oh Lord my God, I thank you for saving my marriage and keeping me in your love. I thank you for reviving my spouse’s love for me

Lord Jesus, please forgive me for allowing my marriage to fall apart by neglecting it and failing to give it the time and attention it needs. Lord Jesus, please forgive me for allowing bitterness, hatred, doubt or fear to enter our home. Please help me pray:

Heavenly father, I come before you today with a heavy heart.

Heavenly Father, I come before you today with a heavy heart. As I look at my marriage and everything that has transpired over the past several months, I find that there is much to be worked on within myself and between us. While it would be easy for me to blame others for our current troubles—and there are certainly many people who have played a role in the deterioration of our relationship—I know that ultimately this responsibility lies with me alone.

Because of this, I pray today for forgiveness from all those who have been hurt by my actions or words; and also pray that they would find it in their hearts to forgive me as well. My prayer is not only for forgiveness but also restoration as we work together toward building up what was torn down through sinfulness and selfishness on both sides of this equation.

Lord Jesus, thank you for this beautiful day and for the opportunities it presents us to love you more and draw closer to you.

Thank you for the opportunities

  • to grow closer to God
  • to love your spouse more
  • to be a better person
  • to be a better parent

I confess my sins and repent from all of them. Cleanse me with your Blood Jesus, and fill me with your Holy Spirit.

  • Confess all of your sins: This is where you will ask God for forgiveness for anything you have done that is against His will. If you can’t think of anything, start with the basics: lying, stealing, cheating. Once you have confessed those and repented from them, go on to the slightly more complex sins like gossiping or judging others. You might also want to include any other areas that are causing problems in your life (not listening well when God tells me something through someone else; hating my husband because he isn’t perfect).
  • Ask for mercy: Now we move onto asking God for mercy—forgiveness without a penalty. Again, focus on one or two things here so they are clear in your mind as well as being specific (I am greedy when it comes to money). We often call this part being sorry—asking God’s forgiveness and acknowledging our wrongdoing with an attitude of humility rather than prideful arrogance (“Why did I do this?”).
  • Ask for strength: Lastly, ask for strength so that these bad habits don’t continue into future situations! Again be specific about what has been bothering you recently (I am easily angered by my husband’s mistakes), how it makes me feel inside (angry), and how much better I would feel if things were different (“How could I change this situation?”).

Miracle prayer for marriage restoration

Oh Lord my God, I thank you for saving my marriage and keeping me in your love. I thank you for reviving my spouse’s love for me

Dear Lord, I thank you for saving my marriage and keeping me in Your love. I thank you for reviving my spouse’s love for me.

I praise You because You have not abandoned us, but have given us another chance to be together. Thank You for giving us the wisdom to know what is best for our family, even though it may be difficult at times.

  • Lord Jesus, please forgive me for allowing my marriage to fall apart by neglecting it and failing to give it the time and attention it needs.
  • I know that the best way to strengthen a marriage is through the regular use of prayer. But I haven’t done this. And now we are struggling with our relationship because of it.
  • So, Lord, please help me make time for You and my spouse each day so that we can have a strong foundation together in Your name (Matt 6:9-13).

Lord Jesus, please forgive me for allowing bitterness, hatred, doubt or fear to enter our home.

Dear Lord Jesus, please forgive me for allowing bitterness, hatred, doubt or fear to enter our home. Please help me to understand what the root cause of this problem is and how to avoid it in the future. Help me to deal with it if it happens again by reminding myself that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).

Please help me to see that things might not always be as they seem or as I would like them to be right now but Your plans are higher than mine

Dear Lord,

Please help me to see that things might not always be as they seem or as I would like them to be right now but Your plans are higher than mine. Even though I may think that my way is best, You always have a better plan for our lives. Help me to trust in You and know that even though life can get hard sometimes, You will never leave us nor forsake us. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins so that we could have salvation! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, how gracious is Your mercy, how powerful is Your love! Thank You that there is no situation too hard or too complicated that You can’t fix it. Lord

Heavenly Father, how gracious is Your mercy, how powerful is Your love! Thank You that there is no situation too hard or too complicated that You can’t fix it. Lord, I pray that my husband would be restored to me and our marriage restored by the power of your indwelling Spirit. He has been lost for many years now and it has broken my heart into pieces not knowing where he was or what happened to him in all those years apart from me.

Dear Lord Jesus, please hold us close through this difficult time and help us to keep our eyes fixed on You at all times.

Lord, help me to focus on You, even through the distractions of life. Help me not to be distracted by other things. Keep my eyes fixed upon You, because I know that only in You am I truly fulfilled and happy.
