Prayer For America

I love my country. I have been proud to live here since I was born, and have never once thought of living anywhere else. This is my home and always will be. But lately, things seem different here in America. There is a darkness in the air, a sense that something has gone wrong with our country’s core values. That feeling has been growing stronger over the past several months, so much so that it awoke me from my slumber last night at around 3am with an idea for a post about how prayer could help us fix things here at home:

We pray that all peoples of the earth will know God’s tenderness, and may the Lord be your comfort.

We pray that all peoples of the earth will know God’s tenderness, and may the Lord be your comfort.

We beseech you to remember the power of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We ask that you would heal those who have been wounded by sin or sorrow, so that they might join their families in praising Your name. This article features prayer for america song, and short prayers for america.

Prayer For America

In our own land we pray for tranquility, justice and peace; for those who govern us; for those who guide our destinies; for those who serve us at home or abroad; for those who protect us by day and defend us by night; that they may be blessed with wisdom in every situation which confronts them; may they know that none but You can give true prosperity to a nation!

God, who knows what we need, bless our president and all in authority; may we be blessed in the land.

God, who knows what we need, bless our president and all in authority; may we be blessed in the land.

Our government is meant to be a reflection of God’s will on earth. It is His desire for us to live under just laws that protect our rights as individuals and families. These laws are not meant to restrict us from living freely – they are intended to protect us from those who would take advantage of us or cause harm through unlawful means.

God has given us President Trump as a leader because he serves the purpose of God’s ultimate plan for good in this world: “that we might be saved.”

Overcome evil with good. Bless America with strength and grace to overcome..

Pray for our leaders, that they may have strength and grace to overcome evil with good. Pray for America, that we may be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Love your neighbor as yourself.

The most important question we need to ask ourselves is: “What are you doing right now?” If you are not actively involved in helping those in need around you, then perhaps it’s time to start doing so.

How great are Your works O Lord; Your thoughts are very deep! You give life to everything and the multitudes of heaven worship you.

How great are Your works, O Lord; Your thoughts are very deep! You give life to everything and the multitudes of heaven worship You.

Your power is unlimited; there is nothing too hard for You. You know all things, you see all things and nothing can be hidden from Your sight. In Your wisdom you have planned out everything on earth according to their nature and how they were made.

You created the heavens with all their splendour, yet they cannot contain You—even less can human beings! The whole earth is full of Your glory!

From beginning to end, all that lives has been brought into being by your power; you rule over them with an unchanging hand so that they may never cease to exist in your sight (Nehemiah 9:5).

May you walk blameless before God, doing what is right, speaking the truth from a sincere heart, keeping the commandments and laws of the Lord.

O Lord, we ask that you would

  • May you walk blameless before God, doing what is right, speaking the truth from a sincere heart, keeping the commandments and laws of the Lord.

You are my refuge from every trouble! You protect me in times of trouble! You shelter me because You care for me.

Dear Lord, thank you for the wonderful privilege of being an American. We ask that you would provide wisdom for our leaders and protect them from every harm. We pray for the safety of all Americans at home and abroad, especially those who are in danger because of their faith or actions. In times of trouble, we choose to trust You with our lives. We know that You are always near us; even when things seem bleakest, we will not be afraid because You lift us up with Your mighty hand!

Your blessings continue to bless this country as long as it remains faithful to its founding principles: freedom of religion and speech, liberty over tyranny. And now I ask humbly: Please preserve these freedoms through whatever means necessary! Let this nation remain strong so that it may continue shining brightly into other nations around the world; let our light shine until all have seen its radiance!

May we have a spirit of unity, peace and respect among us as we practice love through charity towards each other so that they may know us as being your disciples by our love for one another.

May we have a spirit of unity, peace and respect among us as we practice love through charity towards each other so that they may know us as being your disciples by our love for one another.

May we open our eyes to the needs of our brothers and sisters, strangers or friends. We are one people with many different languages, cultures, customs and beliefs but with one thing in common; Your love for us all.

Let us be mindful that the people around us have their own problems too. Let’s do what we can to help them even if it means going out of our way just to smile at them or give them a helping hand when they need it most.

O Lord, strengthen our faith in Christ Jesus so that we may know that nothing can separate us from your love.

O Lord, strengthen our faith in Christ Jesus so that we may know that nothing can separate us from your love. Help us to realize that you were willing to send your only Son to die for our sins and give us eternal life. Strengthen our faith by showing us how much you love us through the death of your Son and the power of His resurrection. Remind us of how much you desire for all people to be saved and come unto repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Strengthen our faith so that we will continue to pray for those who are lost or struggling with their relationship with God because they don’t realize the freedom they could have if they would trust in Him as Savior and Lord.

God has not given us a spirit of fear but rather a spirit of power, love & self-discipline so empower us to overcome our weaknesses by the grace you have given us & may your Spirit guide us through this time.

God has not given us a spirit of fear but rather a spirit of power, love & self-discipline so empower us to overcome our weaknesses by the grace you have given us & may your Spirit guide us through this time.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Intercessory Prayer For America

It’s no secret that our country is in trouble. We’re facing a recession, an increasingly divisive political climate, and an uncertain future. But as Christians, we have hope! While our nation faces this troubled time, let us take comfort in the knowledge that God is still in control of all things. That’s why we’re asking for your prayers for America during this difficult time—we need God’s guidance more than ever before! If you’d like to join us in praying for our country during its current crisis, please share this post with your friends and family members who also love Jesus Christ and believe in His omnipotence. And please post your own prayer below if you have one—our nation needs all the help it can get!

For the Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

For the Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46:7

Pray for America 2022, a prayer initiative for churches and individuals to pray for the United States during November 2022, when all Americans will be able to vote in federal elections. This special year will mark not only our nation’s 230th birthday but also its 60th anniversary as an independent nation. As we celebrate this legacy of freedom and blessing, we also pray that God would continue to guide our leaders, protect us from danger and keep us safe from harm.

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and base things of the world and things which are despised, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nothing things that are: that no flesh should glory in His presence (1 Corinthians 1:27-29).

Let me tell you why this is important for you (and for America) to understand. If you have been a part of any kind of prayer movement in your life – whether through a local church or on your own – then it’s likely that someone at one point told you about intercessory prayer. Intercessory prayer involves asking God for something and then praying about it until He answers your request. This is often done as part of worship services or other gatherings where Christians come together with a common goal–whether that be evangelizing non-believers or simply building up each other’s faith.

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

Lord, I commit my way to you; trust also in you, and He shall bring it to pass.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

Prayer for America

Father God, please forgive us for our lack of faith and faithfulness. We pray that You will restore the church in America to be a city on a hill that shines forth Your glory through our lives as we shine the light of Jesus Christ throughout this country based on Matthew 5:14-16: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men…”

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Prayer for America

This prayer was written by the late Rev. Dr. Donald E. Wilder, a former professor at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and one of the most influential evangelical leaders in America during the 20th century. He was a member of the Evangelical Leaders Council and served as President of The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC). In his later years, he was also known as one of America’s most distinguished professors on matters related to eschatology, or study about last things: death and immortality, heaven and hell.

For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Prayer is the most powerful force in the universe. It’s the most effective way to change your life, and it can help you connect with God and others. When you pray, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Prayer is a way of communicating with God. You can use prayer to say something directly to him or just talk about what’s going on in your life.
  • Prayer brings people together in community—it’s not only a personal activity; it also unites us as members of one body (1 Corinthians 12:12-31). This means that when you pray for someone else or for something that affects others, it’s good for both them and for you!
  • The Bible says that “the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of [God] who gives life to all things” (Romans 8:19). In other words, everything around us waits patiently until they receive their proper nourishment from God—and so should we! We too must wait patiently before receiving what he has promised us through prayer and meditation on his Word each day.”

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Dear God,

We ask for your blessing on our nation and its leaders. We pray for peace in the world, an end to abortion, a return to traditional marriage, and a restoration of moral values. We pray that all Americans would seek after You first and foremost. May we see the beauty in each other’s hearts so that we may love one another as Christ loves us. Let us stand with courage against those who would do harm to our country or its people. Help us realize the promises made by Your son Jesus Christ when He said: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Help us be peacemakers instead of warmongers; let us draw near to your heart with trustful faithfulness so that you might bring healing into our land once again! In Jesus’ Name I pray…
