What Denomination Is Lifestyle Christianity
The Bible, in our view, is God’s inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word that reveals God’s love for humanity. References: 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:15, 17, and John 3:16.
We hold that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are the three eternally existing parts of the one God.
Refer to Matthew 28:19, John 10:30, and Ephesians 4:4-6.
We affirm the virgin birth, the sinlessness, the vicarious and atoning death of our Lord Jesus Christ through His shed blood on the cross, the bodily resurrection, the ascension to the right hand of the Father, and the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory as written in the Scriptures.
References: Matthew 1:23; John 1:29; Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 5; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4; and 4:15.
That Jesus Christ is the only way to God, that salvation for lost and sinful man is through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ, and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is the means by which a person is saved. We also believe that the righteous will enjoy eternal life in heaven, while the wicked will be condemned to eternal punishment in hell. Scriptures that speak to this theme include: Luke 24:46β47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10β11; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8β9; and Titus 3:4β7.
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is a central Christian doctrine; we hold that He is actively at work in the world today, empowering believers to live godly lives and perform miraculous acts.
A believer receives the Holy Spirit at baptism so that they can effectively testify about Jesus.
Verses cited include John 3:5-8, Acts 1:8 and 4:31, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 2:14, Galatians 5:16-18, Ephesians 6:12, Colossians 2:6-10, and John 3:5-8, Acts 1:4-8, and Acts 2:4.
We have faith in a future resurrection for everyone, some to eternal life and others to eternal punishment.
Scriptures citing this idea include 1 Corinthians 15:51β57 and Revelation 20:11β15.
We hold that all true believers are members of Christ’s body, the church, and that this unity exists on a spiritual level.
References: 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23.
All Christians should be involved in evangelism (the proclamation of the good news that one can be saved by placing their faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (the process of guiding new Christians toward spiritual maturity).
Specifically, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:18, Romans 10:9-15, and 1 Peter 3:15.
We hold that God created man and woman as separate but equal biological persons, and that He intended for their sexuality to be expressed only within the context of marriage. Marriage between one man and one woman is the cornerstone of the family and the social order that God designed for humanity. Due to this, we hold that a marriage can only consist of one genetic male and one genetic female. Scriptures that emphasize this theme are found in Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5-6, Mark 10:6-9, Romans 1:26-27, and 1 Corinthians 6:9.
Prayer, service, submission to Christ’s rule in our lives, and evangelism are all things we feel called to prioritize.
New Testament: Acts 1:8, Romans 10:9-15, and 12:20-21, Galatians 6:10, Colossians 2:6-10, and 1 Peter 3:15. New Testament: Matthew 9:35-38, 22:37-39, and 28:18-20.
Human life is sacred from the moment of conception until the moment of death, and it is our duty to care for the material and spiritual needs of our neighbors.
Matthew 22:37β39; Romans 12:20β21; Galatians 6:10; Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5.
Lifestyle Christianity Pastors
American pastor and evangelist Todd White. He established Lifestyle Christian University in Watauga, Texas, and currently serves as its president.
White, a former addict and atheist, credits the year 2004 as the year he became a Christian.
Life is Short: Leave a Legacy is his book’s title (2020). In response to criticism presented in the film American Gospel: Christ Alone, he claimed that the film was “demonically inspired.” But in July of 2020, White apologized openly for not sharing the full gospel message.
White disclosed in 2022 that he suffers from a heart condition that causes it to pump at a reduced rate.
