When I was a kid, I saw a story of a father and son who were in the mountains and got lost. The boy kept asking his dad if he was okay, but the father kept saying that he wasn’t okay. Finally, the boy asked his dad why he wasn’t okay and what could they do to fix it? The father said that they could pray together to God and ask him for help. So they prayed together and then when they woke up in the morning, they found themselves near their car! How did this happen? It seems like it would have taken them hours or days to walk back down from where they were lost. But instead, it took them just one night! Thank you, Lord, for being there for me and allowing me to cry out to you in my times of need. I Asked God For Strength And He Gave Me My Wife
While you undoubtedly want to keep your wife safe at all times, you simply cannot do so in every situation. But we can have hope because our God is everywhere at once. How Do You Ask For Strength From God
Please rest me, Lord. My vigor and enthusiasm have flagged of late. Furthermore, I rely heavily on you. Help me get back on track with your fortitude and new perspective. According to your Word, my strength comes from the joy of the Lord. In that case, I could use some of your happiness to rejuvenate the worn-out parts of my mind, body, and spirit.
At times, I feel trapped by life’s challenges and unable to break out on my own. There are a hundred people calling my name, and I don’t always know who or where to turn to. Lord, keep me from giving up, encourage me to keep running the race with perseverance, and give me the courage to find refuge and strength in your sheltering, hidden presence.
I need your fortitude to resist harmful influences and to shake off the shackles of my own selfishness. When timidity and fear try to get the better of me, I need your fortitude to say yes and follow my heart’s convictions. I need your fortitude to extend my love to those near and far. In what circumstances would I not be weak and in need of God’s power?
You are the one I can always rely on, so I come to you today, hoping that you will strengthen my weary arms, give me the energy I need to complete the tasks you’ve assigned me, and drown out all the sadness in my life with your boundless joy. To be paralyzed by my own limitations and past failures would be to remain stuck on the ground. I’ve had enough of weak attempts. Father, I long to soar like an eagle, to mount up on mighty wings. To soar is my goal.
Oh Lord, please restore my strength. Give me your divine strength so that I can triumph over any difficulty I face. I know I can make it if I keep my focus on the Lord, if he is by my side and doing the work in me. Praise be to God!
