How Many Times Faith Mentioned In The Bible

The Bible is one of the most important books in history. It is also one of the most widely read books in the world. The Bible has been translated into over 2,000 languages and dialects and has been printed in countless editions and formats. Numerous people, both famous and not so famous, have quoted it and used its words to motivate others to greatness. The word “faith” appears 261 times in the King James Version. Other bible versions have varying counts: Faith appears 458 times in the New International Version, 389 in the New King James Version, 378 in the New American Standard Bible and 521 in the Good News Bible (GNB).

The closest that the Bible comes to offering an exact definition is Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” From this particular passage we see that the central feature of faith is confidence or trust.

One of the things that makes this book so special is its reference to faith. Faith is a major theme throughout many different books within the Bible, but how many times does faith appear in each book? How often does it appear in comparison to other themes, such as love or hope?

Bible Gateway Hebrews 11 :: NIV. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

In both of these stories, Jesus does not say that he decided to heal the person because of the amount of faith they had.

The ESV verse seems to be saying that it is because of our faith in Christ that we are made righteous—which also makes theological sense and sounds nice.

Did Jesus use the word faith

Answered By: Raymond Green Date: created: Jun 05 2022

Jesus indeed had faith But if faith is ventured trust, then it seems Jesus is a paragon of faith. We see, in Christ, a full and whole life ventured in trust on the reality of God. Again, even if Jesus had a direct view of God, then this in no way counts against his having faith understood as ventured trust.
