Closing Prayer For Meeting

Meetings, small groups, church services, and other types of gatherings can all benefit greatly from closing prayers. Here is a lovely prayer you can use to say goodbye at the end of your meeting. Before you leave, take a moment to give thanks and to pray for God’s guidance and protection.

Maintain the bond of peace that the Holy Spirit has established among you.

To be holy as God is holy (Ephesians 4:3)

Father, thank You for the Spirit’s ability to bring unity to our relationships. You put people exactly where they need to be in our lives, and you encourage us Christians to pool our resources and use them for the common good. When we consider this gathering from Your perspective, we realize that You have used the talents You have nurtured in us to advance Your plans.

Father, pardon us for the times when we cling to the spotlight and the power in our meetings to take credit for our efforts. We recognize that in our pursuit of success, it is not always our top priority to think about how we can best glorify You through our efforts. We beg You, Lord, to replace the envy and ambition in our hearts with a spirit of modesty and shared acclaim. In this post you’ll read more on closing prayer for virtual meeting and christian closing prayer for meeting.

Closing Prayer For Meeting

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for a day of learning and growth with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I am grateful that we can come together to share our stories of faith with one another. Please bless us as we journey through life together. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

We gather today to thank you for all that you have given us this past year.

We gather today to thank you for all that you have given us this past year.

Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to serve. We thank you that we have been able to be a part of something larger than ourselves and we thank you for giving us opportunities where we can serve our union in meaningful ways.

Thank you for the opportunity to learn. We know that learning is an ongoing life process, but it has been so helpful having teachers who can illuminate aspects of life and work from different points of view as well as teach new skills.

We also thank you for the opportunities where we can grow spiritually as individuals and as members of your church family here at Calvary Chapel Upland South Bay!

Looking back over the past year, we see your hand in all things.

Looking back over the past year, we see your hand in all things. You have blessed us with so many blessings, both big and small. Sometimes we take those blessings for granted, but they are truly gifts from a loving God.

We are thankful for the many opportunities you provide us to learn more about you and grow closer to you. We are grateful that you give us the strength and wisdom needed to face new challenges each day. We hope that as we look back over this past year we will remember not only our accomplishments but also those who helped us along the way: friends, family members, coworkers—and even strangers!

You have provided the opportunity to serve others and the joy of serving with like-minded Christians.

  • You have provided the opportunity to serve others and the joy of serving with like-minded Christians.
  • You have made it possible for me to share my talents and skills in service to those who are less fortunate than myself.
  • You have allowed me to meet some amazing people whom I would not otherwise have been able to meet, such as my fellow participants in this meeting, or my fellow volunteers at Food For The Poor (FTP).
  • As we draw near the conclusion of our time together, I want you all to know that this experience has been very meaningful for me and has changed my life in ways that I could never explain if I tried.

Thank you for opening our hearts and our minds to the needs of others.

Thank you for opening our hearts and our minds to the needs of others.

We are thankful for the opportunity to help others, and we will remember this moment in history as an example of how we can all come together to make a difference.

May we always remember it is not what we do for you, but what we do for others that last forever.

  • Let us be grateful for all the good we have in our lives.
  • Let us remember to be thankful for the opportunities we have been given, and those who helped us along the way.
  • Let us remember that what we do for others lasts forever.

It is in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Amen means “so be it.” It is a Hebrew word that was used in the Old Testament to indicate agreement. In the New Testament, we see this word used with Jesus’ name added to it: amen I say to you, what you ask of the Father in my name he will give you. (John 16:23)

So when we use amen to close our prayers and as a confirmation, we are saying yes! You are asking for something good for yourself or someone else. Your prayer has been heard by God and so be it!

We hope that this prayer has inspired you to take your next meeting to a new level. We would love to hear how the prayer went for you, so please leave a comment below and tell us about it!

Closing Prayer For Virtual Meeting

As we close this meeting, we pray for guidance in all our endeavors. May your everlasting wisdom consecrate our deliberations to the benefit of your people. Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for giving us the opportunity to meet and share with one another. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to guide us in our discussions and decisions. Lord, we recognize that we are Your servants called to serve those around us. Open our eyes to see clearly and help us to follow Your call where ever it may lead. Lord, help us all to listen as well as to be heard. May we never take for granted the diverse talents and abilities that thrive within this group, but rather learn from each other and come together for your glory.”

Father, thank you for the gift of love. We ask that you continue to bless us so that we use our gifts to build more love and peace in our community.

As you go about your day, remember the power of love. God’s love is unconditional, everlasting, and infinite. The more we carry God’s love in our hearts and share it with others, the more we will experience peace and harmony in our lives.

Thank you for taking time to join us today!

Lord, as we end this meeting, we pray for guidance in all our endeavors. May your everlasting wisdom consecrate our deliberations to the benefit of your people.

We ask you to give us the grace and strength to continue working together in harmony until our mission is fulfilled. Grant us patience as well as perseverance so that even when we feel discouraged, we can hold on to hope and keep going forward with confidence that our work will bear fruit in due time, so that all might come under your loving care and protection!

Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for giving us the opportunity to meet and share with one another. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to guide us in our discussions and decisions.

Jesus is the source of all wisdom, love, peace, joy and everything good in our lives. He is our guide who knows what we need when we need it. He will never leave you or forsake you! He will never fail you or disappoint you! So give thanks to God today that He has given us His only Son Jesus Christ who loves us dearly and died on the cross for us so that we could be saved from eternal damnation if not forgiven from all of our sins! Amen

  • The ability to listen is a skill that needs to be learned and practiced. Listening means truly hearing what another person is saying and understanding their point of view. It also means not interrupting or getting distracted by our own thoughts while someone else is speaking.
  • Listening opens us up to new ideas, perspectives and ways of looking at something (or someone). When we listen with empathy and respect for the other person’s perspective, we can build bridges between people who may have differences in belief systems or opinions on a particular topic at hand. In this way, listening becomes an act of love that allows us all freedom of speech without fear or intimidation from one another – even if those words offend us personally!
  • For a virtual meeting: This prayer is an example of the closing prayer that I’ve been using for my virtual meetings. You can use it as is, or create your own version that fits better with your group’s needs.
  • After a meeting: If you used this prayer to open your meeting and also want to use it at the end, remember that some people may have left by then—so if there are still attendees present when you finish up with this prayer, it might be helpful to pause before ending so they have time to collect themselves and move on their way.

Christian Closing Prayer For Meeting

An integral part of the Christian faith is praise and thanksgiving. Use this closing prayer example to encourage your congregation to reflect on their blessings and look to the Lord.

Father in Heaven, we are grateful for the opportunity to worship you today. Help us to always keep in mind how much more you have given to us than we could have ever hoped for or imagined. Please help us to always look up to you in awe and praise. Because you are the first and the last, the supreme ruler. We are grateful for the love and support of our friends and family, which you have bestowed upon us. We appreciate the independence you provide. We ask this in the name of the Lord.
