Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. I’ve watched you in your coma for the past year. Your family has called your name, touched your hand and played their favourite songs by your bedside. They have longed to see you open your eyes and stir from the comatose state in which you have been trapped. They keep praying that one day soon you will awaken as if nothing ever happened.
I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour when I was just a baby, but lately my faith has grown cold and I fear my soul is on the path to destruction. I have so much sin on my shoulders and have done many terrible things just to get ahead. But something is telling me that there is only one place where I can be forgiven and become pure again, and that is through prayer. Prayer is the only way I can truly repent and ask someone to accept me back into their fold. Pity me as I squander in this dark pit of despair, waiting for you to save me, o’ Lord.
Dear God, Please, let Tony regain consciousness. It’s been months since the accident and he still hasn’t woken up. The family is desperate for any sign that the Tony they once knew, has made his way back to them.

Prayer For Someone In Critical Condition
Sickness is something that is bound to happen due to various reasons. There is pollution of the atmosphere, making it difficult to live a healthy life. Many people are suffering from cancer, diabetes, and many other terminal illnesses. If you visit the hospital, the type of sick people you will likely see there will surprise you. But despite these challenges, God can still heal the sick when we pray to Him. So prayer for healing for someone in the hospital is very important.
Jesus said that “healing is the children’s bread”. Believers can pray to God and expect to receive healing, either for themselves or their loved ones. Being sick is not a death sentence. Most people don’t understand this, so they get anxious and worried. Worry and anxiety never contribute to making the sickness go away; instead, it will worsen the situation.
Therefore, we should always be positive. When we ask God in prayer, He will hear and heal the sick.
James 5:14-15 says, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” It is the prayer of the sick that can heal the sick or hospitalized, not worry and anxiety.
Prayer For Someone In The Hospital
Heavenly Father I thank you because you are the God that heals the sick. I thank you because even till today, you are still healing the sick. You have made the provision for our healing through the death of Jesus Christ, for your word said, “by his stripes we were healed”. I pray for those sick today, I command that by the stripes of Jesus Christ, let the sickness be healed in Jesus name. Amen.
The Attitude While Sick in the Hospital
Philippians 4:6 says, “Be careful about nothing; but in every situation by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” When an individual is sick, it is not time to get worried (that’s the meaning of “be careful about nothing“).
Rather, believers should put their trust in the LORD and hope for his healing. When Abraham was without a child, he didn’t get anxious neither was he worried. “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb.” (Romans 4: 18,19).
It was a seemingly impossible situation, but he never gave up. He kept believing, and he did receive his miracle.
At the time of sickness, believers should remain positive. They should also give thanks to God. It is not time to start regretting or blaming God; rather, God should be glorified. The Bible said in everything, give thanks.
We should also believe the promises of God that “he will neither leave us not forsake us”. Never allow the situation or sickness to make you lose hope or faith in God. Keep trusting and believing because, though it may tarry, your healing will surely come. (Habakkuk 2: 3).
Ask for Healing in Prayer
There is the privilege of prayer made available to every believer. We can directly access the throne of God through prayer and lay down our requests before Him. Most times, we are not healed because we have not asked for healing through prayer. James said “ye have not, because ye ask not” (James 4: 2). If we can ask for healing through prayer, we shall receive our healing.
Asking God for anything must be in faith. If we fail to ask or pray in faith, there will be no answer to our prayers. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” James also affirmed this by saying that “the prayer of faith shall heal the sick.”
That is how we should pray. We should not doubt God, but rather believe that He is able to do all things and that with God nothing shall be impossible.
Praying for healing must come from a sincere heart. Hearts filled with hypocrisy will not be able to get an answer from God. Therefore, before you ask God for healing, make sure that your heart is free from anything that will offend God. Always pray in sincerity because Psalms 34:18 says, “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
The Steadfast Promises to Pray
There are many promises to depend on, so pray to God. There are great and precious promises that God has made for us. They are steadfast promises that cannot fail. “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
There are many things we can ask in prayer for healing for someone in the hospital. Jeremiah 33:6 said, “Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.” We can pray for the healing of the sick and for the restoration of the health of those who are weak. We can depend on the words of God and pray with them. The Bible said, “By the stripes of Jesus, we are healed.”. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, from sickness, and from oppression.
Prayer For Healing
Amen. Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy. May Your healing hand rest upon me, may Your life-giving powers flow into every cell of my body and into the depths of my soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring me to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.
