During labor and delivery, women can have several worries going through their minds. It’s important to be able to rely on God for comfort and peace during this time. While the Bible doesn’t specifically talk about childbirth, it does address themes that are relevant.

The result was that my husband was encouraged and felt comforted by God’s words for him at a very difficult moment in our lives.

When I was in labor with my first child, I was surprised by how many people asked me if I had any Bible verses ready to read during delivery. It seemed like a strange question at first because I didn’t think anyone would be interested in hearing me read Bible verses aloud while they were trying to give birth! However, after giving birth I completely understand why people would ask this question and so today I wanted to share with you some of my favorite Bible verses for safe delivery – The Scriptures below have been chosen based on their relevance to childbirth and motherhood –
The Bible is full of verses that are comforting during pregnancy. There are also verses that you can recite to help your baby to be born safely.
The Lord has promised us that He will not give us more than we can handle and that He will be with us through everything (1 Corinthians 10:13). He is our Creator and knows what is best for both mother and baby. We must trust Him for the outcome of this pregnancy.
