The end of the year is a time of reflection, and it’s also a time when we’re all trying to maximize our time off. So let’s make sure that you’re spending time with your family, friends, and loved ones in the best way possible: by listening to these sermons.

The Last Sunday Of The Year is a time for reflection, and for looking back on the things we’ve learned over the past year. It’s also a time to take stock of what we need to do next year to grow as people, and as individuals, and as citizens of this world.

Let’s think about how far we’ve come: what have you learned about yourself? What have you learned about others? What have you learned about the world around us? What have you learned about God and His power?

Let’s think about where we need to go: what do we need to focus on next year? What are some goals we can set for ourselves? How can we work together as a community or nation or planet or universe…how can we work together toward making this world a better place?

If you’re looking for something that’ll help you reflect on the year that was, or if you’re looking for something to help you think about what’s coming next in this new year, there’s something here for everyone. These are some of the best sermons of 2018 so far, so dive in!

Best Sermons For Last Sunday Of The Year

Life is like a race, and if you want to finish strong, you need to keep your eyes on the prize. Don’t let distractions or obstacles deter you from running your best race. See yourself crossing the finish line as a winner. Remember that God is with you every step of the way and He wants more for your life than you could ever imagine. Even when life seems too hard to bear and there is no light at the end of the tunnel; press forward because the victory is just ahead!

If you are going to finish strong, you need to keep your eyes on Jesus.

As you look to the future and anticipate what lies ahead, you will be tempted to become anxious and concerned. You may find yourself wondering if your life will be filled with joy, peace and hope as a result of these changes. The truth is that it all depends on how well you keep your eyes on Jesus.

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He has given us the ability to live in victory over every circumstance we face because He has already defeated sin, death and hell for us! This means that no matter what happens this year or next year or even ten years from now…if we choose to keep our eyes on Jesus then He will never fail us when it comes time for Him to finish what He started through His death and resurrection!

This means that there will always be times when we experience great difficulty but because God has promised never again leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), then no matter how difficult things become there is no reason why they cannot get better!”

Don’t give up. You can finish well!

You can finish well! Don’t give up. Don’t give in. There is a future full of beauty, hope and promise ahead of you if you will believe it, embrace it and live it out with faithfulness until the last days of your life on earth. The same holds true for the past—there are good things that happened along with bad things that happened; there are times when God blessed you beyond measure even though there were also dark seasons where He seemed to be silent or absent altogether. And what about today? Do not let your fears about tomorrow keep you from enjoying today’s moments fully; don’t let past failures haunt your mind so much that they prevent future success; don’t forget how far God has brought you so far because if we do our job today we’ll be able to look back at tomorrow with joy instead of regret.”

You can do anything through Christ who strengthens you.

  • God is with you.
  • God will help you.
  • God will give you strength.
  • God will give you wisdom.
  • God will give you courage, peace, endurance and hope.

I have finished my course with joy.

I have finished my course with joy.

It is important to finish strong, but it is also important to finish well and with joy.

You should never be so busy that you cannot take time to laugh and enjoy life. The last day of the year is a good time for this.

You must always remember that no matter what happens in your life, God will always be there for you when you need Him most!

Don’t give up; don’t give in. Keep your eyes on the price and run the race!

You can do it! You can finish the race! You can do it with joy, strength, endurance, faith and love.

Don’t give up; don’t give in. Keep your eyes on the prize and run the race!

It is not time to give up, because God has a future for you.

God has a plan for your life. He has a future for you, and God has a purpose for the person that He created you to be. God wants to give you an abundant life full of joy, but it requires faith and trust in Him.

He will show you the way!

You can make it through this test or trial and still come out victorious.

  • The power of Jesus. Jesus is the one who said, “I am the resurrection and the life.” When we believe in him, he makes us new through his grace and mercy. We are no longer slaves to sin but children of God (John 1:12). In this world, there are many different kinds of trials that we may face: financial challenges, health issues, relational problems with family members or friends—the list goes on. But if you have placed your faith in Christ, then know that he will give you strength to get through it all!
  • The power of God’s Word. It says in Ephesians 6:17-18: “Take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” God’s word is our shield against any attack from Satan or others who would try to bring us down. We must remember that this battle is not ours but God’s (1 Corinthians 10:13), so we must stand firm by holding onto His Word each day as we go through hard times in life!
  • The power of prayer.”Prayer changes things,” says Mother Teresa—and she’s right! Prayer brings comfort during difficult times; it helps us get through hardships when nothing else seems possible; and it turns our eyes towards heaven where God reigns supreme over all creation (Philippians 4:6). If there were no such thing as prayer then what hope could anyone have?

The thing is, you don’t want to be the one who gave up and didn’t finish what they started. You want to be the one who “finished his course with joy” and “kept on running all the way.” You don’t want to be the one whose testimony is, “I almost made it, but then things got tough and I quit.” No! You want your testimony to be: “I ran that race with all my might and I finished well; I kept my eyes on Jesus and He helped me run this race.”
