The family tree of Abraham is shown below:

    Abraham|Sarah|Isaac|Ishmael

Abraham’s family tree is very complex. He was born in Ur of the Chaldees in Mesopotamia, around 1800 BCE. His father was Terah. Abraham had two brothers, Nahor and Haran, who also had children. Abraham married Sarah, who was his half-sister (her mother was another wife of Terah). They had Isaac together. Abraham’s other son was Ishmael, with Hagar (another wife of Terah).

Abraham was the son of Terah, who lived in Ur of the Chaldees. He had one brother, Nahor, and two sisters, Milcah and Iscah.

Abraham married his half-sister Sarai, who was born to Terah’s wife Milcah. They had three sons: Isaac, Ishmael and Zimran (Genesis 11:29-30). Isaac married Rebekah, who was also his cousin. She mothered Jacob and Esau (Genesis 25:20-21). Esau later married two sisters: Mahalath and Basemath (Genesis 26:34). Mahalath bore Amalek to Esau (Genesis 36:12).

Jacob married Leah and Rachel. Leah gave birth to Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah and Issachar; Rachel gave birth to Dan and Naphtali (Genesis 29:32-35).

Ishmael married a woman named Hagar; they had a son named Kedar (Genesis 16:11). Kedar later married an unnamed woman who bore Adbeel to him (Genesis 25:13).

Abraham was born in Ur of the Chaldees. His father was Terah and his mother was Sarai. When he was 75, Abraham and his wife Sarah left Haran and went to Canaan. He had many children, including Ishmael (with Hagar), Isaac (with Sarah), and Keturah (with a concubine).

His children became the fathers of many nations:

    1. Sarah’s son Isaac married Rebekah and had twins, Jacob and Esau. Isaac died at 180 years old.
    2. Abraham’s son Ishmael married an Egyptian woman named Hagar, who bore him a son named Kedar. Ishmael died at 137 years old.
    3. Abraham’s son Isaac married two women: Rebeccah and later Leah; they bore him six sons—Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Zebulun, Issachar—and one daughter Dinah; all but Levi died before reaching adulthood; Leah died when giving birth to her sixth child; Rebeccah gave birth to two more sons—Dan and Naphtali—and died at 127 years old; Dinah

Abraham fathered Isaac, who married Rebekah. They had twin boys: Esau and Jacob. Esau married a Canaanite woman named Oholibamah and had an unknown number of children. Jacob also married a Canaanite woman named Leah, and they had 12 sons (Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun and Joseph).

Leah’s sister Rachel was given to Jacob as his second wife by Laban. They had two children: Joseph and Benjamin. Rachel died during childbirth with Benjamin.

Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers (Genesis 37-50)
