But there’s another reason why we look forward to the fall season: it’s when we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Today, we gather to reflect on the lesson of The Fall. The story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden serves as a cautionary tale for all of us, reminding us of the consequences of disobedience and the importance of staying faithful to God’s word.The Disobedience of Adam and EveLet us turn to Genesis 3:1-7, where we see the beginning of the fall of mankind. The serpent, who is Satan, tempts Eve to eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve succumbs to temptation and eats the fruit, then gives some to Adam who also eats it. This act of disobedience leads to shame, fear, and separation from God.The Consequences of SinAs we read in Genesis 3:16-19, God pronounces consequences for their sin. The serpent is cursed to crawl on its belly, Eve will experience pain in childbirth, and Adam will have to toil for his food. This serves as a reminder that sin has consequences and affects not only ourselves but also those around us.Hope and RedemptionDespite the fall of mankind, there is hope and redemption through Jesus Christ. In Romans 5:12, we are reminded that through one man, sin entered the world, but through another man, Jesus, we have forgiveness and salvation. By accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we can be redeemed and restored to a right relationship with God.

I wanted to talk to you about time today…. How many of you can tell time? That’s great!
Did you know that there are many ways to tell the time? You can use watches or clocks — even the seasons tell us what time of year it is. What season of year is it right now? That’s right! It is fall. How do we know that? One way we can tell is that the leaves on the trees have begun to change colors. I brought some leaves with me this morning. Why don’t each of you reach in and pick one. Aren’t they beautiful, aren’t they neat!
I think God shows himself in each season of the year. In the fall he gives us the leaves, in the winter, the snowflakes, in the spring the new flowers and in the summer his lightning bugs! Aren’t all those reminders of God so cool!
As you look at the leaves and the snowflakes, the flowers and the lightening bugs, I want you to remember that these are God’s special way to remind us that he is with us in every season and every time of our lives. Isn’t that good to know!
Let’s pray: Dear Lord, We know that you are always with us no matter what season or time of our life. In your Bible you promise us you will never leave us alone. Thank you for your promises and your reminders that you are always with us. Amen.

Sermon Topic: God’s Love for Us
Today, we gather here to talk about God’s incredible love for each and every one of us. The Bible is full of verses that show us just how much God cares for us and how we should reflect that love in our daily lives.
Let’s start by looking at John 3:16, which says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This verse reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice that God made for us, sending Jesus to die for our sins so that we may have eternal life.
Another powerful verse that illustrates God’s love for us is Romans 5:8, which says, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This shows us that God’s love is unconditional and knows no bounds. Even when we are at our worst, God’s love is still there for us.
One of the most famous stories in the Bible that demonstrates God’s love is the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32). In this story, a son squanders his inheritance but is warmly welcomed back by his father when he returns. This parable teaches us about the forgiving and unconditional love that God has for each and every one of us.
As we go about our lives this month, let us remember the love that God has shown us and strive to reflect that love to others. Let us be kind, forgiving, and compassionate, just as God is to us.
