It may sound funny, but a poorly written bible verse can not only ruin your day, it can ruin your life. Christian singles are aware that in the natural, marriage is an outstanding solution for single-hood; however, this does not write off the importance of God’s word for your circumstances.

Bible Verses About Single Mothers

Single mothers have a long list of responsibilities. They have to be both mother and father, cook and clean, and they have to do it all while holding down a job. That’s why it’s so important for single moms to know they’re not alone. The Bible is full of verses that encourage single mothers and remind them that God is with them through their struggles.

Here are some of our favorites:

Psalm 126:5-6 “Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.”

1 Corinthians 13:4-6 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it.’

The Bible is filled with verses about the strength of single mothers. And if you’re a single mom, you know that strength is exactly what you need. Here are some Bible verses to encourage and strengthen you as a single mom:
