As Pastor Chris Oyakholome, Ph.D., taught, “Giving is the largest single act of worship in a believer’s life.” The Bible says in Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you.” A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. GOD never said that your giving will make you rich, but he said it will make you blessed. Giving is an act of worship and manifestation of our love to God.
The bible says in Hebrews 13:16-17, “Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. And let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.”

GOD IS THE GREATEST GIVER. HE GAVE US LIFE AND ALL THE GOOD THINGS IN LIFE. HE HAS MADE A WAY FOR US TO HAVE OUR NEEDS MET SO THAT WE MAY CONTINUE TO ENJOY HIS BLESSINGS.
IN EZEKIEL 18:7 IT SAYS THAT IF YOU DO NOT SHARE YOUR WEALTH WITH THE NEEDY, YOU ARE GUILTY OF SIN! ALL GOD’S PEOPLE SHOULD SHARE THEIR WEALTH WITH THOSE WHO HAVE LESS THAN THEM. IT IS WRONG TO BE GREEDY AND KEEP ALL YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS FOR YOURSELF OR YOUR FAMILY AND NOT SHARE THEM WITH OTHERS. GOD IS THE GREATEST GIVER AND HE DESERVES OUR BEST GIFTS!

Giving is an act of worship. When you give, you are giving to God. You are offering a sacrifice to God.
When you give, it is not just about the money that you give, but also what you give from your heart. What if you were to give all your money away, but still hold unto resentment in your heart? You see, when we give, we have to have a pure heart that is free from sin and guilt. We have to offer our bodies as living sacrifices (Romans 12:1).
You cannot just give when the need arises or when you feel like it; it is an act of worship! When you give with a pure heart, God will bless your giving and reward you for it.

It’s so easy to give in the name of God, but it’s not that easy to give for God. You see, there are people who give money to the church, but it doesn’t come from their heart. They don’t even know where their tithe goes. They just give because they have to.
The Bible says in Malachi 3:10-11 (NIV):
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple; if you do,” says the Lord Almighty, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! Bring all the tithes into the storehouse and see if I don’t open up windows of heaven and pour out such blessings that there won’t be room enough to store them!
Do you think God wants His house full of money? No! He wants His house full of worshippers!
