Prayers to Reverse Unjust Situations

God, You are always good. I thank You for Your constant companionship in my life. Read on for prayer for god to intervene in a situation and prayer for the impossible situation.

Knowing that you are a God of righteousness, I am aware that nothing is able to evade your vigilant eyes. I am requesting that you step in to help me in this predicament, where (insert the unfair circumstance here). It is imperative that you bring light into this darkness, truth where there is deceit, and justice where there is injustice. Let me pray in the name of Jesus.

Have you been recently mistreated? Held back from your rightful position and been thrust into the background? Have you struggled for your merits only to be rewarded as if you deserved nothing? Suffer no more with these prayers for reversal of seemingly unjust situations. These are prayers that I have found to work — they helped me step out of the shadows and take my rightful place.

Prayer is a wonderful thing. And if you ask anyone who has prayed for something that is unjust, they will tell you it does in fact work. Why? God’s ways are not our ways; we simply cannot understand why something should happen. We can see why it happens but we don’t see how (Example: 12 years of age and to be killed in a foreign country over an argument)? We don’t know. We just pray because we have no other choice.
It is a comfort to know You will never leave me, and that You are always with me.
I love You, Lord, and I thank You for Your faithfulness.

Prayers to Reverse Unjust Situations

Prayers to Reverse Unjust Situations

1. Lord, I come before you seeking justice in this unjust situation. Your word says in Isaiah 30:18, “Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you…” I pray for your mercy and grace to be poured out in this situation, reversing the injustice that has been done. Bring forth your justice and make things right, according to your will. Amen.

2. Heavenly Father, I lift up this unjust situation to you, knowing that you are a God of justice. Your word says in Psalm 103:6, “The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.” I pray for your righteous judgment to prevail in this circumstance, reversing the injustice that has occurred. Let your light shine on the darkness of this situation, bringing forth truth and restoration. Amen.

3. God of all creation, I call upon your name to intervene in this unjust situation. Your word says in Proverbs 21:15, “When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.” I pray for justice to be served in this situation, turning the tables on those who have acted unjustly. Let your truth prevail and your righteousness be displayed for all to see. May your justice reign supreme in this circumstance. Amen.

4. Lord, I seek your guidance and protection in this unjust situation. Your word says in Psalm 37:6, “He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.” I pray for your righteousness to shine brightly in this darkness, reversing the injustice that has been done. Cover me with your peace and strength as I navigate through this difficult time, trusting in your unfailing love and faithfulness. Amen.

5. Heavenly Father, I humbly come before you, seeking your help in this unjust situation. Your word says in Luke 18:7, “And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night?” I cry out to you, O God, for justice to prevail in this circumstance. Reverse the unjust actions that have been taken and bring about a resolution that is in accordance with your will. Let your justice be swift and sure, as I place my trust in you alone. Amen.

6. God of all comfort, I turn to you in this time of need, as I face an unjust situation. Your word says in Psalm 140:12, “I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will execute justice for the needy.” I trust in your promise to defend the oppressed and bring about justice for the innocent. Reverse the unjust circumstances that surround me, and let your vindication be my shield and refuge. May your righteous judgment be my guide as I seek to see justice served. Amen.

Don’t Pray With Anxiety and Worry

Worry, feeling uneasy or troubled seems to plague multitudes of people in our world today. It’s human nature to be concerned about the bad situations in our world and in our personal lives, but if we’re not careful, the devil will cause us to worry beyond what’s reasonable.

Philippians 4:6-7 says we should pray without being anxious, to pray about everything and to pray with thankful hearts: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ.” We are called to pour out our hearts to God and also be honest and open with Him, as He already knows us better than we know ourselves.

Don’t Pray Without Trusting God’s Will

We should always keep in mind that God has His Will for our lives and God’s Will may not always be in line with our own desires. John 15:7 says, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you.” So that means if we tell God what we want, He will give it to us, right? Well, not exactly. If you’re wondering why things aren’t going according to your plans, here’s the short of it. We aren’t aware of God’s Will. It’s important that we pay attention to the word “abiding” in this verse which means “to live in, dwell in and remain in.” When you have an intimate relationship with God, you begin to know His heart and have a clearer sense of the things you should pray for and what His will truly is for you.

Don’t Pray Without Giving Glory to God

Is your prayer to the glory of God? One of the most important questions we face in prayer is whether our petition is for our own selfish interest, pride or attainment, or whether it is really to the glory of God? Answers to prayer are supposed to honor God and bring glory to Him. This is one of the main reasons we offer prayer in the name of Christ. Jesus assured His disciples that if they remained in Him and His words remained in them, whatever they wished would be given to them. Prayer that is offered in the name of Christ and to the glory of Christ is prayer that God can answer.

Don’t Focus on Receiving a Blessing

We often say, “I’m so blessed” when it seems like things are going well in our lives. Without even thinking, we’ll equate these happy moments or personal successes to God showering blessings on us. But these pleasures and successes are not God’s highest priority. While it’s right and good to be thankful for the tangible blessings in your life, you shouldn’t fail to see that blessings from God don’t always make you want to shout “I’m so blessed.” When you pray, acknowledge God for your blessings and not just those that make you feel good.

Don’t Think of Prayer as a Magic Formula

There are some who believe that if we don’t say exactly the right things or pray in the right position, God will not hear and answer our prayer. This is unbiblical. God doesn’t answer our prayers based on when we pray, where we are, or what position our body is in. Scripture assures of this. The Bible says, “And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His Will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14-15). Ask yourself does the prayer you present bring glory to Jesus? God answers our prayer requests based on whether they are asked according to His Will and in the name of Jesus.

Don’t Pray Without Listening to God’s Voice

Prayer is supposed to be a time when we listen to God, but often our prayers are one-sided.Truly listening to God is an art that requires training and discipline. It’s very difficult to hear God’s voice when we are listening to every other voice besides His. It’s important to remember that listening to God begins with a genuine desire to hear from Him. God has spoken to us through those who were inspired to write the words of Scripture. His Word is still going forth and speaking to us. Our choice is whether or not we will heed the message. When you’re in need of strength, remember that God is the number one healer and can guide you in endless ways. If your heart and life are centered on God, His Word and His Holy Spirit, you can rest assured that He will transform you in ways that you couldn’t even imagine.

Prayer for God to Intervene in a Situation

Lord, I come to You with a heavy heart. My emotions are full of frustration, anger and hurt.
I need Your guidance in knowing how to handle an unjust situation. I need Your comfort and wisdom
as I work my way through the turmoil that is festering inside of me.

You know my heart, and You know
I have no desire to allow bad thoughts to stay in my mind. I need Your help, so that no root of bitterness
can spring up within me.

I pray that You allow me to see my situation and the wrong done to me through Your eyes.
Allow me to see what You see. You know the very intentions of every man’s heart,
and You know as humans, we make many mistakes. If the ones who have wronged me did so unintentionally,
I ask that You will help me to know this, Jesus. Show me the unjust act was not to hurt me intentionally.
Grant me the ability to give others the benefit of the doubt when I’m uncertain.
Protect my heart in the case that something is just a misunderstanding.

However, Lord, if I have been wronged intentionally, I sincerely ask for Your wisdom
and guidance in the correct way to handle the situation.

Your Word teaches that if a Christian brother wanders from the truth, the one who brings Him back
will save his soul from death. Lord, this is evident in the actions of the one who wronged me.
I have not seen any remorse or repentance on his part. Is it Your desire that I approach him?
I ask for Your help in addressing the problem. Give me the right words to say.
Let the fruit of the Spirit be fully activated in my heart with love, peace, long suffering and self-control.
Help my words to be soft.  Keep my tone of voice from contention.
Let my attempt for peace and restoration be well received and acted upon.

Prayers to Reverse Unjust Situations

If my wrong situation is able to be corrected, please remind me to apply the golden rule and treat
the offender with mercy and gentleness. Keep my spirit humble and forgiving.
Remind me that I may find myself in a similar situation someday and will appreciate a kind
and forgiving spirit being offered to me.

Jesus, I’m aware that my situation may not end on a good note.
I know that not everyone desires to fix the wrongs they’ve committed.
If I must face this scenario in my own situation, I pray You will help me.

I pray that You will immediately remove any feelings that I am struggling with because of the situation.
Don’t allow me to embrace a grudge. Don’t let anger or bitterness continue to fester. Don’t let me justify
a sour attitude toward the offender. Please release my mind from wanting to justify my lack of forgiveness,
or from recruiting others to join my cause.
When this tests my Christianity and I rely on Your Spirit
for strength, let me pass with flying colors. Let my attitude and witness
for You continue to be right and good.

Lord, please give me the strength to move past this hurtful situation.
Remind me that I need to forgive, even if my offender is not sorry. Continually remind me
that forgiveness is for my benefit. Remind me that You don’t desire for me to allow unforgiveness to linger
in my heart. Help me to leave the situation in the past, so that my present and future can have peace.

You instructed us to forgive 70 times 7 times. Help me to realize that forgiveness is sometimes a process.
Thank You for the liberty of forgiving someone a second, third, even 50th time when the pain runs deep.
Encourage me that I will conquer the pain and unforgiveness if I don’t stop praying and trying.

Savior, when I think back to the crucifixion and all that Your endured, I really must put my own situations
into perspective. You were more wrongly accused and treated that I have ever had to endure in my own life.
And yet, You forgave.
You went through the agony of dying on a cross for those who had wronged You.
Your plans never included spiritual revenge.  You simply forgave. You prayed on the cross for the forgiveness
of Your offenders, presenting the argument that they knew not what they were doing. I pray that my own heart
stays full of Your Spirit to forgive my smaller wrongs, with You as my greatest example.

I know You care about my issues, and I thank You for listening and giving me guidance, perspective
and strength to overcome wrongs done to me.

I pray for Your continual leading, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

During this series, I won’t be expounding on each Scripture very much except through a bullet-point list to share some prayer pointers. But, even though the plan for each day is short, each of these Scriptures is POWERFUL!

Without further ado, let’s begin!

The first Scripture verse of the day is Isaiah 45:1–3, which says:

“Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held—to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut:

‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel” (Isaiah 45:1-3 NKJV).

Pray along these points:

  • Ask the Lord to help you sense Him holding your hand.
  • Ask Him to help you sense His presence and affection.
  • Ask Him to subdue nations before you; to give you nations for Jesus’ sake.
  • Ask Him to subdue all the forces of wickedness before you.
  • Ask Him to open before you the double doors—doors that you didn’t expect; doors that are DOUBLE in payment for all the closed doors you have encountered before.
  • Ask Him to open all the gates for you that need to be opened, and to close the ones that need to be closed.
  • Ask Him to go before you in all things, and to help you SEE Him going before you.
  • Ask Him to make the crooked places straight in your life.
  • Ask Him to release every blessing to you that has previously been held back from you.
  • Ask Him to give you His treasures that have been hidden in darkness.
  • Ask Him to release His riches to you that have previously been kept only in secret places.
  • Ask Him to help you know that He, the Lord, calls you by your name. He knows and loves you personally. YOU, yes YOU, matter to Him.
  • Ask Him to help you know Him as the God of Israel.

Prayer for the Impossible Situation

Remember to use the verse itself as your vocabulary for prayer. Doing so will not only help you pray the most effective prayers it’s possible to pray, but it will also help you hide God’s Word in your heart, that you might not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11).

Dear God,

I come to you today with a request for help. I know this is a hard time for me and my family, and I want to thank you for listening. I know that you are always there for us, even when we cannot see or hear you. You love us so much that you sent your son to die for our sins so that we could live forever with you in heaven.

I am asking for your guidance during this difficult time. Please give me the strength to go through it with hope and faith in your plan for my life. Please help me to trust in your love and mercy as we go through this difficult time together as a family.Thank you so much for listening to my prayer today!
