Pray to Our Mother for Intercession: Her prayers to Jesus will console you and bring you peace. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. When we pray to Mary it is usually out of desperation. It is a cry for help and guidance in a time of great need.

The Magnificat, which is a hymn of thanksgiving addressed to the Blessed Virgin Mary, uses the words “My soul magnifies the Lord” (Luke 1:46), which speaks of the rejoicing that the Mother of God experienced when she conceived and bore the Son of God

Mary, a perfectly contemporary woman, is the author of this blog. She is a motivational writer spreading the message to the world to explore and take advantage of the opportunities that life brings. She also encourages people to live their lives fully, shine and make a difference.

    Prayers To Mary For Intercession

Prayer to Our Lady for Intercession

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I come before you today in all humility. I ask you to pray for me with all your heart that I may obtain from God what I wish. (Mention your intention) In union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I consecrate myself to You as your child and servant. O Heavenly Mother, obtain for me the grace of (mention grace) through the intercession of your most Holy Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

    Prayers to Mary for Intercession

Mary, the Mother of God, though sinless herself, is the Mother of the Redeemer. As such, she is our Mediatrix before her Divine Son. She intercedes for us before Him and moves His Heart to compassion for our sorrows and sufferings. She can obtain from Jesus whatever she pleases. It is not surprising then that the most powerful prayer we have in our possession is a prayer to Mary: “Hail Mary.” The Hail Mary prayer is an act of faith — an act of faith in Christ who is revealed by His Blessed Mother; it is also an act of faith in Mary’s power to obtain forgiveness of sins, deliverance from temptation, protection against evil and every other spiritual benefit which we need so much and do not have enough faith to ask for directly. It shows humility on our part because we ask the Mother of God to intercede for us; it also shows great confidence in her maternal love and her willingness to help us out of love for her Divine Son. We say “Hail Mary” because Jesus said “Hail” when He appeared to His Blessed Mother at Cana (John 2:4). The Hail Mary prayer has been

“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”

“Angel of God, my guardian dear to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side to light and guard, to rule and guide.”

“Most Holy Mother of God, I place myself in your hands and I thank you for all the graces that you have obtained for me. I am so weak but you are so powerful! I thank you for all the graces that you have obtained for me. I am so weak but you are so powerful! Show me how to help my neighbor through your intercession with Jesus Christ.”

    Prayers to Mary

The following prayers are offered as examples of the type of prayer that may be prayed to our Lady. These prayers are by no means exhaustive and should be used as a starting point for your own personal devotion. Many other prayers exist, but these are some of the best known and most popular ones.

“Hail Mary.” The Hail Mary, or Ave Maria (in Latin “Ave” = hail) is probably the most well-known prayer to Mary. It was said by the Archangel Gabriel when he brought the good news of Jesus’ birth to Mary (Luke 1:28). It also has many beautiful meanings:

The first half (“Hail Mary”) is a greeting from heaven; it is an invitation from God to accept His will through trust, faith and humility. The second half (“blessed art thou among women” or “blessed is the fruit of thy womb”) recognizes God’s gift through love and gratitude. When we pray this prayer, we acknowledge God’s power in our lives while asking for His help in everything we do throughout the day. We can add petitions for ourselves or others at any time during this prayer – for example “Blessed art thou among women and blessed

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus Holy Mary mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen.

From the Church’s beginnings, prayers to Virgin Mary have held a place of honor for Catholics.

Here are some of the most fundamental and majestic.

These prayers prayers to Virgin Mary take varied forms. Most of them combine:

    • Prayers to God, modeled after the faith of Mary.
    • Meditations on the Incarnation, Mary’s unique role in salvation history, or her perfect examples of virtues like faith, humility, and charity.
    • Prayers to Mary, asking for her help and protection.

Like all prayers to Saints, our prayers to Virgin Mary rely on the Saints’ special power to intercede for us before Christ and the Father. But since Mary has a unique role in salvation, and a unique relationship to the Trinity, our prayers to the Blessed Virgin also rely on her special power of intercession.

“Mary is the perfect Orans (pray-er), a figure of the Church. When we pray to her, we are adhering with her to the plan of the Father, who sends his Son to save all men. Like the beloved disciple we welcome Jesus’ mother into our homes, for she has become the mother of all the living. We can pray with and to her. The prayer of the Church is sustained by the prayer of Mary and united with it in hope.” (Catechism, 2679)

“Because of Mary’s singular cooperation with the action of the Holy Spirit, the Church loves to pray in communion with the Virgin Mary, to magnify with her the great things the Lord has done for her, and to entrust supplications and praises to her.” (Catechism, 2682)

This is a collection of some of the more cherished Catholic prayers to Virgin Mary.

    Hail Mary

The Hail Mary is a well-loved and beautiful basic Catholic prayer. It’s one of the essential prayers to Virgin Mary. It combines two lines from Scripture (Lk 1:28 and Lk 1:42) with a humble request for Mary to pray for us.

    The Angelus

The Angelus is a meditation on the Incarnation, and Mary’s role in it. Like all prayers to Virgin Mary, we ask her for guidance and prayers. The first three verses are taken from Scripture.

The Angelus is traditionally said daily at 12 noon. Many Catholic churches ring their church bells at noon, the _Angelus bells_, to call the faithful to prayer.

This is often said as a group prayer, with the leader speaking the V parts and the group responding with the R lines. If you’re saying it alone, just read both parts together.

Prayer of Intercession to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

    V. O God, come unto my assistance;
    R. O Lord, make haste to help me.
    V. Glory be to the Father, etc.
    R. As it was, etc.
    I. Immaculate Virgin, who being conceived without sin, didst direct every movement of thy most pure heart toward God, and wast always submissive to His divine will; obtain for me the grace to hate sin with all my heart and to learn from thee to live in perfect resignation to the will of God.
Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.
II. O Mary, I wonder at that profound humility, which troubled thy blessed heart at the message of the Angel Gabriel, that thou hadst been chosen to be the Mother of the Son of the most high God, the while thou didst profess thyself His lowly handmaiden; ashamed at the sight of my own pride, I beg of thee the grace of a contrite and humble heart, so that, acknowledging my misery, I may come to attain the glory promised to those who are truly humble of heart.
Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.
III. Blessed Virgin, who didst keep in thy heart the precious treasure of the words of Jesus thy Son and, pondering over the sublime mysteries therein contained, couldst live only for God, how am I confounded by the coldness of my heart! Ah, dear Mother, obtain for me the grace of meditating always on the holy law of God, and of seeking to follow thine example in the fervent practice of all the Christian virtues.
Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.
IV. O glorious Queen of Martyrs, whose sacred heart, in the Passion of thy Son, was cruelly pierced by the sword foretold by the holy and aged Simeon; obtain for my heart true courage and holy patience to bear well the tribulations and trials of this wretched life; may I show myself to be thy true child by crucifying my flesh and all its desires in following the mortification of the Cross.
Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.
    V. O Mary, mystic rose, whose lovable heart, burning with the living fire of love, adopted us as thy children at the foot of the Cross, becoming thus our most tender Mother, make me experience the sweetness of thy motherly heart and the power of thine intercession with Jesus, in all the dangers that beset me during life, and especially at the dread hour of my death; in such wise may my heart be ever united to thine, and love Jesus both now and through endless ages. Amen.
Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.

Short Prayer Using The Intercession Of The Blessed Virgin Mary

Our Lady of Knock, pray for us.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Mother of God, the Mediatrix of All Graces, and the Co-Redemptrix. She is our Heavenly Intercessor. She is like a bridge between us and her Son. We can go to her with our petitions and she will bring them to Jesus.

She is also an example to us in her humility and obedience.

    Blessed Virgin Mary,

Mother of God and Mother of the Church,

you have borne the King of heaven in your arms,

you have conceived and given birth to him as a tiny child,

you have nourished him with your milk,

you have carried him in your arms,

you have wrapped him in swaddling clothes and rocked him to sleep.

    Blessed Virgin Mary

your heart is full of love for all people. You are our Mother. Help those who suffer from any kind of pain, illness or sorrow. Comfort those suffering from the loss of a loved one or from loneliness. Comfort those suffering from broken relationships or who are struggling to find happiness in life. Comfort those who are sick with sin and need healing through repentance and reconciliation with God and others. Comfort those who are afraid of death and bring them courage so that they may accept their death as part of God’s plan for their lives. Be close to us at our moment of death so that we can die peacefully trusting in God’s mercy rather than fearing what lies beyond this life on earth.”

Blessed Virgin Mary, you are the mother of Jesus; you are our mother. You have shown us, through your example, how to live as children of God. You have shown us how to love and serve our neighbors. Help us to follow in your footsteps so that we can be an instrument of peace and harmony in this world.

Blessed Virgin Mary, we pray for all those who do not know you and for those who have never heard of your name. May they come to know you as the Mother of God, who loves them tenderly and cares for them with all her heart. Teach them that only through knowing Jesus Christ can they find true peace and joy in their lives.

Blessed Virgin Mary, we pray for all those who suffer from sickness or pain in body or soul. May their suffering remind them of the suffering of Our Lord Jesus Christ on his way to Calvary; may it inspire them to turn toward God with love and hope; may it help them see that even suffering can bring us closer to him who loved us so much he gave himself up for our sake; may it lead them to accept their crosses joyfully as a means of growing in holiness and union with Christ so that they may become witnesses

O great and most pure Mother of God, who didst bear the Word made flesh, grant us the grace to know Him more perfectly and to love Him more ardently.

O Mother of Christ, Queen of Angels, who was carried into Egypt that thou mightest save thy Child from death; obtain for us a preservation from all the perils which beset us on every side, that we may glorify God in our lives and at the hour of death.

O Virgin most holy, who was chosen by Almighty God to bring forth His Son into this world; deliver us from all evil and save us from every tyranny.

O Mary most holy, who was chosen by Almighty God to be His Mother; obtain for us perfect resignation to His Divine Will and unswerving fidelity to His Church.

O Mary most holy, who was chosen by Almighty God to be His Mother; obtain for us humility in all things and perfect obedience to the divine law.

O Mary most holy, who was chosen by Almighty God to be His Mother; obtain for us purity of heart that we may ever see God face to face in Heaven.

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of our Savior and our Mother, you are the treasure-house of grace, and through you, God has showered down upon us a wealth of graces.

You have the privilege of being the Mother of Christ and the Mother of all Christians. You are a true mother to all those who invoke your aid with confidence; you are always ready to help them in their spiritual needs and defend them from every danger.

O my dear Mother! I ask you to hear me when I recommend to you this intention: __ (Name it). Please obtain for me from God special graces for my soul and body, as well as for my family and friends; and above all for poor sinners who have no one else but you to call upon in their need; for sinners who have no one but you to intercede with God in their behalf.
