Prayer is something that we learn and it is also a gift from God. It is a combination of our own personal effort and the work of God within us. It establish-es a real communion with God that forms into the relationship intended by him for each one of us.
Prayer to Saint Anthony for Lost Items
St. Anthony, perfect imitator of Jesus, who received from God the special power of restoring lost things, grant that I may find what has been lost.
[Mention your petition]
At least restore to me peace and tranquility of mind, the loss of which has afflicted me even more than my material loss. To this favor, I ask another of you: that I may always remain in possession of the true good that is God. Let me rather lose all things than lose God, my supreme good. Let me never suffer the loss of my greatest treasure, eternal life with God. Amen.
St. Anthony, helper in all necessities, pray for us.
God of Miracles, Saint Anthony was renowned for being a man who could do great things under Your authority. I pray that I too follow this example and I place my request for a miracle to You in heaven because with man it is impossible, but with You all things are possible. I receive my miracle by faith in Jesus’ name because if I have faith and do not doubt, I will have the power to move mountains, Amen.
Matthew 19:20 & Matthew 21:21
Righteous God, in the New Testament, You did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured, and the evil spirits left them! Lord, You are the same God then as You are now. Healing miracles, or any and all kinds of miracles, can be done by You. Just as Your power was evident in the life of Paul, and even of Saint Anthony, I pray that my life may also be evidence of Your extraordinary miracles, Amen.
Acts 19:11-12
Eternal Father, Your word tells me to appeal to You, so I lay my cause before You right now. Just as Your servant, Saint Anthony, did, I lay down all my issues at Your feet. I lay down all areas of my life that appear to be hopeless before You because You perform wonders that cannot be fathomed and miracles that cannot be counted! I am grateful that You are still fighting for me and are still able to turn what the devil has planned against me for good in ways that cannot be fathomed or counted, Amen.
Job 5:8-9
Way Maker, it is You who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us. Father, You are the reason that I will see signs, wonders and miracles because You are great, greater than I could ever comprehend. To You be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
King of Glory, thank You for enabling me, Your humble servant, to speak Your word with great boldness. I have been continuously speaking miracles over my own life as well as of the lives of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray that You stretch out Your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant, Jesus. Please fill our lives and hearts with Your Holy Spirit and Your Word, Amen.
Acts 4:29-31
Heavenly Father, I know that miracles will accompany those who believe. In Your name, Your disciples were able to drive out demons, they spoke in new tongues, and they picked up snakes with their hands. When they drank deadly poison, it did not hurt them at all. When they placed their hands on sick people, the sick were healed. Miracles act as a confirmation of Your word. This is evident in the miracle of Your servant, Saint Anthony, and the fish. I pray for miracles in my life, so that in this day and age, I may be confirmation of Your word, Amen.
