Prayer to say before bed

Dear Lord, thank you for this day. Thank you for the many blessings you have given me and my family. Please watch over us during the night and protect us from any harm. I pray that we can all get a good nights sleep tonight and wake up refreshed tomorrow. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Heavenly Father, I need you.

Heavenly Father, I need you.

I am weak and often find myself falling short of the mark. Help me to be strong in your service and let my weakness be hidden by your strength.

Guide me as I walk through this day, and give me wisdom when faced with decisions or challenges that arise. In the end, may my choices bring glory unto You and Your name be praised forevermore through them.

Grant me peace in all things, so that even if conflict comes upon my life I will not be shaken by it but rather rise above it with strength born from faith in Your power over all things—even this thing called death!

Dear Jesus, please come into my heart.

Dear Jesus, please come into my heart. I am sorry for all the times I have doubted you and disobeyed you. Please forgive me of my sins and let your love fill me. I love you with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. Forgive me my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me.

Jesus is our only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). He is our way to salvation (John 14:6). He is the only way to heaven (John 14:6 & Acts 4:12). There is no other way to be saved from eternal damnation except through him alone!

Lord, I lift up my soul to You.

Lord, I lift up my soul to You.

I ask for Your protection and guidance in this world. May I not be tempted by the evil that lurks in the shadows of my mind, but rather may I be fortified against it by Your grace and mercy.

May I always know how to discern good from evil, truth from falsehood. Please help me to make the right choices in life so that I may live in accordance with Your divine plan for me.

I thank You for all Your blessings during this day and pray that you will help me continue to walk on the path You have laid out for me until it ends at Your feet!

Father God, I thank You for this day and for all that comes with it.

I thank You for this day, Father. Thank You for all that comes with it. I’m thankful for the good and bad things. God, You know what I need most right now and I pray that You would give me those things tonight as I sleep, so that they will be part of my dreams when I wake up tomorrow morning.

God, thank You especially for my family and friends! May they be kept safe from harm throughout the night until we see each other again tomorrow morning!

Thank you for the gift of life.

Thank you for this day.

Thank you for the gift of life.

Ask God to help you live a good life and make wise choices each day. Ask Him to help you serve others, or be kind and compassionate to all those around you. Let Him guide your footsteps and lead you in the right direction so that one day our lives may be spent serving as a beacon of light for others who are looking for answers in their darkest moments.

Lord, I come before you in prayer tonight asking for your guidance and protection.

I come before you in prayer tonight asking for your guidance and protection. I ask that you help me to not be a burden to others, but rather an inspiration. I pray that my actions will bring good into the lives of those around me, and that they may feel safe knowing that there are people like me in this world who care about them. Please keep them safe from any harm or evil intentions by shielding their hearts with your love and light.

Please guide me during these trying times so that my actions may be beneficial to all those around me and not harmful in any way. Amen

May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Amen.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Amen.

God of my life, I welcome this new day. It is Your gift to me, a new creation, a promise of resurrection.

God of my life, I welcome this new day. It is Your gift to me, a new creation, a promise of resurrection.

Thank You for the breath that gives me life and the blood that gives me hope. Thank You for being a God of love who always invites us in—to draw near, speak up and listen well; to forgive and seek forgiveness; to experience Your presence in the midst of our messy lives.

May I choose today to join You in an adventure of faith—in awe at all You have done for us and with determination not to waste another moment on regrets or bitterness or worry but instead embrace today as one more opportunity to walk by faith into tomorrow’s promise: no matter how much we mess up today or fall short tomorrow—we will be made new again!

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep; If I should die before I wake, I pray to God my soul to take. Amen.

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep; If I should die before I wake, I pray to God my soul to take. Amen.

This is a powerful night prayer, and it goes back as far as the 13th century! The original Bible verse was translated from Latin into English by John Wesley in 1789. This was one of his most popular prayers because of its simplicity, yet strong meaning. The prayer is still used today, especially by children who are learning how to say goodnight themselves or who want something short and sweet (no pun intended).

powerful night prayer

Nighttime is the most dangerous time to be in the world. If you want to be protected from the things that are happening around you, you need to start praying at night.

Apply the blood of Jesus to your life, family, business and ministry.

  • Apply the blood of Jesus to your life, family, business and ministry.
  • Remember that you are a child of God.
  • Ask for forgiveness for anything that might have transpired during the day that has tainted your relationship with God and others

Engage in deliverance.

First, let’s talk about what deliverance is. I believe God wants to set you free from anything that keeps you from experiencing Him in your life. Deliverance is a process of prayer and confession that releases satan’s hold on your life and allows the Holy Spirit to do His work in you so that you can be who God meant for you to be. It’s a way of getting rid of anything—anything at all—that keeps us from being able to hear God clearly. Now, let me ask: Who should engage in deliverance? Anybody!

But there are some things you should know before engaging in this process: First, expect miracles! Second, expect answers! Third, expect freedom! Fourthly—and most importantly—expect Jesus Himself as He continues working through your life as well as through other people because He promised this would happen when He said “I’m going away so that I can send YAHUSHUA back again.”

Commune with God.

Prayer is a way to commune with God. It’s not just asking God for things, although there will certainly be times when you’ll need to do that. Prayer is a conversation between you and the Lord, where he speaks to you in words and images that are beyond your own understanding.

The apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 14:15 (ESV): “I wish that all were as I myself am.” Does he wish everyone was like him? Well, maybe not exactly like him—I’m sure some of his idiosyncrasies would be off-putting for many people! But what Paul means by this passage is that he wishes everyone had the same kind of relationship with God that he does: one of intimate familiarity with Him; one where they can communicate freely and easily; one where they can tell Him everything on their minds without reservation or fear.

Declare that you are a dreamer.

You know those people who come up with all the ideas and do all the work, yet are often overlooked or taken advantage of? Those are dreamers. They’re the ones most likely to change the world, make a difference, and be remembered for their contributions. Dreamers also tend to be successful because they never give up!

Pray against territorial spirits.

Here are some things you can pray against:

  • territorial spirits
  • demonic oppression
  • demonic oppression (a prayer of deliverance)

In prayer, ask God to keep you from getting lost in the wilderness of this world when it’s time for you to arise and shine.

“Ask God to keep you from getting lost in the wilderness of this world when it’s time for you to arise and shine.”

That’s what we should pray for each other! This is a very important prayer that can change your life. The Bible says:

“I have said these things unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16: 33, KJV

Pray for others and intercede for them.

  • Pray for yourself and your family. Pray for their strength and growth, protection from harm, provision for their needs, healing when they are sick, a sense of peace in their lives—whatever is appropriate.
  • Pray for your friends and family members. Be sure to include everyone in your prayers; don’t just pray for those who are closest to you or who seem to need it most (even if that’s true). If you’re having trouble thinking of people who might need prayer because they’ve been out of touch lately or their situations are so far removed from yours that you can’t relate on an emotional level anymore (as happens sometimes), start by just praying over anyone God places before you during the day: whether it’s someone sitting next to you at work or someone walking past on the street outside—and remember that there is always someone else out there who could use some prayer!
  • Pray specifically about what God wants to do through each person in this world with whom He has placed us in contact today. Ask Him what His plans are for each individual person’s life right now as well as long term; we often forget that there may be more than one season where we’ll be called upon to serve others alongside Him! Asking our Father these questions will help guide us into being more sensitive towards the needs around us rather than becoming consumed by our own personal struggles which can hinder our ability to care deeply about others’ situations as well

Pray for forgiveness for anything that might have transpired during the day that has tainted your relationship with God and others.

  • Pray for forgiveness for anything that might have transpired during the day that has tainted your relationship with God and others.
  • Pray for forgiveness for any wrongs you have committed against other people.
  • Pray for forgiveness for any wrongs you have committed against yourself.

  • Pray for others.
  • Pray for forgiveness.
  • Pray against territorial spirits that will try to stop you from dreaming, or stop your dream from coming true in the natural realm, or keep you from fulfilling your destiny as a child of God on earth and in heaven with Jesus Christ at His right hand (Heb 10:12). When you engage in deliverance, declare that you are a dreamer! Apply blood! Declare yourself as a dreamer by faith every morning upon waking up and before going to sleep at night! Dreamers have no limits! Dreamers can change their lives—and they do so when they take action based upon what they believe God has said about them, whether written down somewhere already or not yet even thought through consciously yet (Col 3:17). In addition, apply blood over all areas where there is spiritual heaviness weighing down on your life; healings will result automatically because love cannot be kept imprisoned but must flow freely outward toward others (John 13:34–35).

These methods will help you be protected in your sleep.

You can also protect yourself from evil spirits and demons by doing the following:

  • Pray every night before going to sleep.
  • Recite Psalm 91 from memory (or reciting it in your head will work fine).
  • Memorize verses of scripture that defeat satan and his works, such as Romans 16:20-23, Ephesians 6:10-18, and 1 John 5:4

Conclusion

If you want to be protected in your sleep, then you need to practice these methods. They will help you work out any issues that may have hindered your relationship with God during the day and keep you from getting lost in this world when it’s time for you to arise and shine.

Hopefully this list helps you find the right words to say before bed. Just remember that it’s important to keep your prayers personal, so don’t worry if none of these sound quite right for you—just write something that does! And remember: there is no wrong way to pray. The most important thing is that we all take time each day to connect with God—and do our best not only during those moments but throughout the day as well.
