Chenrezig Prayers to the Buddha of Compassion:

(3) Prayer to Excellent Noble Chenrezig by Gelong Pema Karpo, as recalled by Thangtong Gyalpo. This artcle discusses prayers for a prayer line.
The nuns, monks and students of Chenrezig Institute take part in regular prayers and pujas for the benefit of all beings. They are conducted by members of the monastic and lay communities in careful accordance with Tibetan Buddhist tradition. You’ll also see prayer points for breakthrough in this article.
Prayer To Chenrezig
First recite one of the various Chenrezig prayers:
Begin your session with one of these prayers, then recite the longest Chenrezig dharani three times.

Then do one mala of the long mantra, as in the nyung-nä text.
Then do ten malas of OM MANI PADME HUM. During the first five malas concentrate on purifying yourself; you then become Chenrezig and with the last five malas you concentrate on purifying others. At the end of each mala, think that all sentient beings have become Chenrezig.
After your mantras do the requesting prayer from the nyung-nä:
(Kneel down on your right knee and) request your desired goals by repeating the following with great fervor:
O Arya Avalokiteshvara, treasure of compassion
Together with your retinue, please pay attention to me.
Please quickly free me and all mother and father sentient
Beings of the six realms from the ocean of cyclic existence.
Please enable the profound and extensive peerless
Bodhicitta to quickly grow in our mindstreams.
Please quickly cleanse our delusions and actions accumulated
Since beginningless time, with the water of compassion
And, with your compassionate hand, lead me
And all migrators to the blissful pure land.
May Amitabha and Avalokiteshvara act
As our spiritual friends in all lifetimes,
Show us the excellent unmistaken path, and
Quickly place us in the state of buddhahood.
Then dedicate with:
Due to all the past, present and future merits collected by me and all sentient beings, may bodhicitta be generated in the hearts of all the six realm sentient beings, especially in the hearts of the sentient beings in this world and especially in the hearts of the FPMT students, myself and my family members without delay for even a second. May the bodhicitta which has already been generated in the hearts of others be developed more and more.
Due to all the past, present and future merits collected by me and all sentient beings, in all our lifetimes may Lama Tsongkhapa be my direct Mahayana guru and may I never be separate from the pure path admired by all the buddhas. May I be able to meet Lama Tsongkhapa’s teaching, which is to live in pure morality and develop the brave heart doing the extensive deeds for sentient beings and generate the yoga of the two stages whose essence is the transcendental wisdom of non-dual bliss and voidness.
In all my lifetimes may I be like Lama Tsongkhapa, who offered extensive benefit to sentient beings and the teachings of Buddha. May I become like you, the glorified Guru. Whatever your body, your entourage, whatever your holy name and pure land, may I become only like that. Without effort and zeal may my wishes be auspicious and may they be fulfilled like a wish-granting jewel or a wish-granting tree to fulfill sentient beings’ wishes and hopes.
Due to the three time merits of myself, sentient beings and buddhas, which exist in mere name but are totally empty from their own side, may the I, which exists but is totally empty from its own side, achieve the full enlightenment of Chenrezig, which exists but is totally empty from its own side, and lead all sentient beings, who exist but are totally empty from their own side, to Chenrezig’s full enlightenment, which exists but is totally empty from its own side, by myself alone, which exists but is totally empty from its own side.
Then dedicate with:
JANG CHHUB SEM CHHOG RIN PO CHHE
MA KYE PA NAM KYE GYUR CHIG
KYE PA NYAM PA ME PA YI
GONG NÄ GONG DU PHEL WAR SHOG
May the precious supreme bodhicitta
Not yet born arise.
May that arisen not decline,
But increase more and more.
JAM PÄL PA WÖ JI TAR KHYEN PA DANG
KÜN TU ZANG PO DE YANG DE ZHIN TE
DE DAG KÜN GYI JE SU DAG LOB CHHIR
GE WA DI DAG THAM CHÄ RAB TU NGO
I fully dedicate all these virtues
To be able to train just like
The hero Manjushri, who knows reality,
And just like Samantabhadra as well.
At the end of the last session of the day also do His Holiness’ long-life prayer and the Prayer that Spontaneously Fulfills all Wishes:

Tara Puja is an energising practice that provides protection from fears and dangers and brings success to projects, as well as physical and emotional wellbeing.

Medicine Buddha Puja is a powerful healing practice for physical and mental ailments and benefits those who are ill or have recently passed.
DZAMBHALA PUJA
Dzambhala Puja is considered to manifest spiritual and material abundance.

Guru Puja celebrates the kindness of our teachers and the richness of the Buddhist path. This puja is considered to bring about general good fortune.

Great holy days of the Buddhist calendar
SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA PUJA
Celebrated on all the four great holy days, Shakyamuni Buddha Puja is considered to remove obstacles and create conducive conditions for spiritual practice.
THE FIFTEEN DAYS OF MIRACLES
On the 15 days from Tibetan New Year/Losar to the final Day of Miracles, Chotrul Duchen, Guru Shakyamuni Buddha displayed miraculous powers in order to subdue six tirthikas (non-Buddhist teachers) who lacked faith in him, as well as to inspire more faith in his followers.
CHOTRUL DUCHEN
Meaning “Great Day of Miraculous Manifestations”, Chotrul Duchen is one of the four great holy days observed by Tibetan Buddhists, always occurring on the full moon, fifteenth day of the first lunar month in the Tibetan calendar. During this time, it is believed that the effects of both positive and negative actions are multiplied ten million times.

Guru Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana.
CHOKHOR DUCHEN
Guru Shakyamuni Buddha’s first teaching.
LHABAB DUCHEN
Guru Shakyamuni Buddha’s return to earth from the God Realm of the Thirty-Three after teaching Dharma for several months to the gods, including his mother Mahamaya.
VIEW PUJAS AND PRACTICES CALENDAR
Prayer and puja dedications
Chenrezig gives you the opportunity to dedicate prayers or pujas for yourself, friends, or relatives. You may request prayers for those who are ill, those who have died, and those who need to overcome difficulties and obstacles. You may also dedicate prayers to create auspicious circumstances.
Prayers are completed daily by our community, while pujas are held on specific days in the Tibetan lunar calendar. If you sponsor a puja, it will be carried out on the next scheduled date according to the tradition.
You may like to send us a picture of your friend or relative, together with the reason why practices are being requested. This would be read out during the practice.
When someone passes away, we say prayers for 49 days following the death and make feast (tsog) offerings on their behalf.
By making a donation, a tangible connection is established between the person who is in need of prayers and those who are reciting the prayers on their behalf. Your donations contribute to the cost of the offerings made at each ceremony, including flowers, lights, saffron, tea, incense and food. There is no set amount for donations. Offer as much as you are inspired to.
Prayer Points For Breakthrough
References to scripture to help us pray for a miraculous deliverance will help us gain access to God’s abundant resources. Before praying, please reflect on the Bible passage that corresponds with each of these suggestions.
If God won’t listen to your words, he has to listen to God’s word when you pray with it. Repeat this prayer over and over again, every day, until you know for sure that your wish has been granted.
Pray for a miraculous answer to prayer.
- In the name of Jesus, Father, I command the fullness of your blessing and favor to be revealed in my life.
God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ, be praised. The First Letter to the Ephesians, Chapter 3
Second, in the name of Jesus, and by the blood of Jesus, I order every arrow and trap the enemy has set to distort my blessing to be destroyed. Amen.
God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can handle. Instead, He will provide a means of escape along with the temptation so that you can make it through it. Verse 13 of 1 Corinthians
And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in its season, saying, “Blessed is he who brings forth his fruit in his season, for he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water.” Psalm 1:3
- Lord Jesus, in the name of Jesus, I ask that your unending glory be revealed in every area of my life, including my work, finances, home, and education.
The time has come for you to shine; the glory of the Lord has appeared, and your time has come. Scripture Reference: Isaiah 60:1
- Father, in the name of Jesus, make it so that I have nothing but good fortune and joy throughout my entire life. Amen …. Job 36:11 promises that those who “obey and serve” will enjoy a lifetime of wealth and contentment.
Father, open my eyes to the opportunities around me so that I can take advantage of them and live a life of plenty. And the truth will set you free once you have learned it. John 8:32
God the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, open my spiritual eyes so that I may see the future blessing you have in store for me.
Ephesians 1:18 says, “Let the light of understanding shine before you, so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.”
- Father, in the name of Jesus, grant me the grace to always live a righteous life that will unceasingly cause the flow of your blessing in my life. I implore you, therefore, brothers, by God’s grace, to offer your bodies as a holy, acceptable sacrifice, living, and dynamic before God. Roman 12: 1
To the Father, in Jesus’ name, I pray that you would instill in me an unwavering faith in your ability to meet every one of my needs. The Bible promises that God will meet all of your needs (Philippians 4:19 NIV) if you put your trust in him.
- In the name of Jesus, Father, I command you to pour out your favor and blessing on me and my endeavors from this day forward. The things that God has prepared for those who love him are beyond what the human mind can conceive (1 Corinthians 2:9).
- In the name of Jesus, Father, make me a reflection of your knowledge, insight, power, and advice. Allow me to be the answer for my generation. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him; the Spirit of counsel and might (Isaiah 11:2)
In the name of Jesus Christ, I command the annihilation of every demonic force arrayed against me. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn (Isaiah 54:17). This [is] the possession of those who serve the LORD, and their righteous behavior comes directly from me, declares the LORD.
Thirteen, for 5-10 minutes, pray in a foreign language while concentrating intently on the situation in which you seek God’s help. Making intercession for all believers by praying continually with fervent supplication in the Holy Spirit and keeping vigil in this way. Scripture Reference: Ephesians 6:18
Please, Father, in the name of Jesus, make this land fruitful to me forever, and make the things I’ve worked on flourish (mention your business or work). The Lord, from His abundant storehouse in the sky, will provide timely rain to nourish your crops and favor your labors. The text of Deuteronomy 28:12
Make a way for me, Father, in the name of Jesus, where there is no way, and fill my life to overflowing with the riches of your grace. Amen ,,, A new thing I am about to do is about to emerge; you will not be aware of it. Even in the barren land, I will make a highway, and in the dry land, I will cause rivers to flow. In Isaiah 43:19
Repeat these supplications until you are certain that your prayer has been heard. Pray for you.
