Prayer for school year beginning

Dear God,

As the school year begins, I pray for my students. May they find their way to you as they navigate the challenges of this academic year. May they have courage and confidence in your guidance, so that they may soar above the obstacles before them.

As a teacher, I pray that my lessons are helpful and effective, that my students will be able to see the relevance of what they learn in class.

I pray that I can help them find joy in learning by making the subject matter come alive through hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences.

Thank you for being there with us during this time of transition and change. Help us to be agents of transformation for our students as we guide them along their own path towards adulthood and independence from home life into adulthood.

prayer for new academic year

Dear God,

We know you are with us always.

You have given us the opportunity to learn and grow. We pray that we will use this time wisely. Help us to take advantage of these opportunities and make the most of them.

Help us to remember that you are here with us every step of the way. You alone can give us strength and help us to persevere through the challenges we will face throughout this school year.

Please bless our teachers and their families, as they guide us along our paths of learning. Hold them up in prayer so they may continue to lead and guide with wisdom and understanding. And please bless each of us individually as we begin this new school year at [school name].

Help us to be kind and respectful toward one another, but also help us stand up for what’s right when we see injustice or wrongdoing within our own community or beyond its borders.

And please bless our country as it continues onward through this time of change and uncertainty; may our leaders act wisely on behalf of those who elected them into office and those who did not vote for them at all! In Jesus’ name we pray…

Dear God, thank you for this new school year.

We come to you now, humbled and grateful for the opportunity to learn more.

Please give us strength to rise above our challenges and remember that we are all worthy of your love.

Guide us today as we face challenges with grace, wisdom and a sense of humor.

We pray these words in Jesus’ name, Amen

catholic prayer for back to school

Dear Lord,

We come before you, asking for your guidance this school year. We want to do our best and make you proud, but we know that without your help, we will fail. We ask that you guide us in our studies and keep us healthy, so that we may succeed in our classes and reach our full potential as students.

We thank you for the opportunity to learn more about ourselves and the world around us. We pray that you continue to bless us with understanding and wisdom, so that we may be true scholars both inside and outside of the classroom.

We pray these things in Jesus’ name, amen!

Dear God,

Thank you for the opportunity to learn. Thank you for the teachers who have dedicated their lives to helping others. Please guide them as they teach us. Guide us as we learn.

Help us to use our time well, not just for what we can get out of it, but also for what we can give back to others through our knowledge and skills. Help us to be kind to one another and share our gifts with those who don’t have them.

Help us to be strong in body, mind, and spirit so that we may become the best versions of ourselves that we can be. Keep us safe from harm, especially while traveling on buses or waiting at bus stops.

Guard our hearts against temptation and help us stay focused on what really matters: learning new things and becoming better people by using what we’ve learned!

Thank you for this incredible opportunity to learn! Amen
