O Lord, you who live in the heavens, are blessed, and so is the splendor of your majesty.
As in the past, we approach you as our country faces an unprecedented crisis. Tears well up in our eyes as we share a common sorrow for the loss of the holy lands where our ancestors once lived in Artsakh. Prayer For Armenia
Dear Lord,
We pray for the suffering people of Armenia. We pray for their safety, for their health, and for their peace. We ask that you would guide them through this time of crisis and help them find stability. We pray that you would grant them hope and strength.
We believe in your power to heal, Lord. And we believe in the power of your children to bring about change in this world. We know that you are with us, even when we cannot see you. And so we pray that you will be with the people of Armenia during these difficult times.

Lord,
We pray for the people of Armenia. We pray for those who have been affected by the earthquake that struck their country on December 7th, 1988. We ask that you would bring them comfort in this difficult time and give them the strength to rebuild their homes and communities. We ask that you would protect them from any further destruction or harm until they are able to recover from this tragedy.
We pray for all those who have lost loved ones in this disaster, especially for those who have lost children or family members. May they find peace and comfort in your presence during this difficult time. We also pray for all those who are still missing after the earthquake, that their families will know joy once again when they are reunited with their loved ones.

Intercessory Prayer
Meaning of Intercession
The Hebrew word “paga” can be translated as “to fall,” “to attack,” “to meet,” or “to make supplication.” The Greek word translates to “petition” and “intercession” in English. Latin for “to come between” gives us the English word “intercession,” which can mean both “obstruct” and “interpose on behalf of” someone. Jesus mediates our relationship with God the Father. This is why Christians pray “in the name of Jesus,” because it is only through His atoning death that we have access to God.
In today’s context, “intercession” can also mean “mediation” or “standing up” to an offender. With this interpretation, God becomes the mean kid at school. Christ would be the protagonist, rebellious against an uncaring Father, rather than the second person of the Trinity carrying out the will of the Father for his people. Christ, however, did not rebel against the loving God. God and Christ are coequal (John 10:30).
In addition, the term “mediation” implies finding a happy medium. But God is right; we are sinful people. He rules supreme; we exist because of him. By his grace, though we owe him everything and deserve condemnation, he has set us free. By this grace alone, Christians are able to intercede for the needs of others through Christ to God.
A Petition to the Almighty

The Biblical Concept of Prayer
Paul urged the congregation to intercede for him so that he could proclaim the gospel without fear (Ephesians 6:19). Paul prayed for the church and instructed them to pray for one another with “supplications […] and thanksgivings” (1 Timothy 2:1). Always remembering your faith, love, and hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in our prayers. “We give thanks to God always for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers” (1 Thessalonians 1:2). Even the most devout among us are in need of prayer. The prayers of others moved and encouraged Paul.
Paul showed that the people of God prioritized God’s glory above all else. In “our Lord Jesus Christ,” Paul expresses his gratitude and his faith. The ease of his life is not the reason he asks for prayer, but rather doing God’s will.
Paul was modeling his own actions after those of Christ, who prayed to God on behalf of others even as he hung on the cross. As the saying goes, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34). He defended the rights of everyone present, including the Pharisees, Roman soldiers, and bystanders, as well as the believers who followed him at first but later turned against him.
