Morning Prayer For Kids In School

Dear God,

I pray that you will help me to do my work today with vigor and enthusiasm.

Help me to remember that you love me, and that you want me to do my best. I pray that you will give me the strength to face any challenge I may face today.

Guide me in my relationships with others today, Lord. Give me the wisdom to say the right things at the right time. Help me to remember that words can be more powerful than actions sometimes.

I pray that you will guide my teachers today as well as all of my classmates, no matter what we are doing together. Give them wisdom and knowledge so that they can help us learn more about ourselves and about life in general. I pray for good weather on our field trip tomorrow!

Children’s Daily Morning Prayer
Lord, in the morning I start each day,
By taking a moment to bow and pray.
Beginning with thanks, I then give praise
For all your kind and loving ways.
Today if sunshine turns to rain,
If a dark cloud brings some pain,
I won’t doubt or hide in fear
For you, my God, are always near.
I will travel where you lead;
I will help my friends in need.
Where you send me, I will go;
With your help, I’ll learn and grow.
Hold my family in your hands,
As we follow your commands.
And I will keep you close in sight
Until I crawl in bed tonight.
Amen.

A Child’s Prayer for Morning
Now, before I run to play,
Let me not forget to pray
To God who kept me through the night
And waked me with the morning light.
Help me, Lord, to love Thee more
Than I ever loved before,
In my work and in my play
Be thou with me through the day.

Amen.

Good Morning, Jesus
Jesus, you are good and wise
I will praise you when I rise.
Jesus, hear this prayer I send
Bless my family and my friends.
Jesus, help my eyes to see
All the good you send to me.
Jesus, help my ears to hear
Calls for help from far and near.
Jesus, help my feet to go
In the way that You will show.
Jesus, help my hands to do
All things loving, kind, and true.
Jesus, guard me through this day
In all I do and all I say.
Amen.

Wherever I go,
Whatever I do and see,

Bless me ever and ever again!
I love Thee, dearest God.
Amen.

Hurry to Pray
(Adapted from Philippians 4:6-7)

I won’t fret and I won’t worry
Instead, I’ll hurry to pray.
I’ll turn my problems into petitions
And lift my hands in praise.
I’ll say goodbye to all my fears,
His presence sets me free
Although I may not understand
I feel God’s peace in me.

Please go before me and clear the way.
And please stay with me all the day.

Thank you for protecting me.
Thank you for guiding me.

May all that I think and say and do
Bring nothing but glory to you.
I want to be the best me I can be for you.

Day by day, dear Lord,
These three things I pray:
To see you more clearly,
Love you more dearly,
Follow you more nearly,
Day by day.
