Let us beware of our smallest sin – N. N. Alemla Jamir Women Leader Bible reference

I believe we all need to be more aware of the smallest of sins. We need to be more aware of the small things that we do and how they affect other people.

I am not just talking about the sins that are big and obvious, but also the ones that are so small that you hardly give it a second thought. Let me give an example:

You’re sitting at a restaurant and a lady comes along with her kid. The kid starts crying and making noise because he wants something. The mom tries to calm him down but fails, so she leaves him there alone for a minute or two so she can get his food from the counter. She comes back with the food, gives it to him, then turns around before she leaves again to go pay for her order. She doesn’t realize that she has left her son behind until someone points it out to her after she has left the restaurant!

Now imagine if this was YOUR child? What would YOU feel like if someone did this to YOU? Would you not be angry with whoever left YOUR child alone in a public place? Would you give them another chance if they did this again? Or would you refuse them service altogether?

It’s important.
