You are a powerful and dangerous adversary. I am a mere human and a small creature in comparison to you. However, I believe that my prayer will be heard by God, and He will help me defeat you.
I ask of God to protect me from your plans and schemes; to protect my family and friends from your evil deeds; to protect my countrymen from being tempted by your temptations; to guide me away from temptation; to keep me safe from harm; to give me strength against the forces of evil that surround me; and to allow me to defeat you once and for all.
I believe that if I can defeat you then there is hope for others who are also struggling against their own inner demons. When I think of Satan, I think of him as a man—a man who speaks very intelligently and with great charisma. His voice is smooth and soothing, like honey on a hot day.
I believe in your word that Satan is the father of lies and deceit, but it seems to me that this description does not do him justice. Surely he would prefer to be known as the father of truth and love?
And when we look at what he has created in his own image—that is, us—we find that he has made us very beautiful people! There are many different kinds of beauty in this world: there’s physical beauty (like yours) and intellectual beauty (like mine). There’s also spiritual beauty, which comes from within each of us when we follow our hearts and minds instead of our baser instincts. Your scripture tells us to “be ye therefore perfect.” And yet perfection is impossible because we have been given free will—something Lucifer himself helped create!
This world would surely be better off if everyone followed their hearts instead
