But what about the things that we don’t know? What if your child is struggling at school? Or making poor decisions with friends? Is there anything you can do as their parent that will change things for the better?
I believe there is, and I want to share it with you in this blog post. If you read on, I will show you how effective prayer for your daughter can make a difference in her life.
As a mother, I have always been in search of the best possible ways to raise my child. And as a Christian, I have always prayed for God to help me walk this path and be the best parent that I can be. As my daughter grows older, my prayers for her have changed from those of protection, provision and love to those of wisdom and guidance.
As she enters her teenage years, I need to make sure that she understands how important it is to make good choices in order for her to become the woman that God has called her to be. This means making sure that she knows about His love for her and what He has done for us through Jesus Christ. It also means making sure that she understands the consequences if she chooses not follow His commands or if she makes bad decisions along the way.
I want my daughter to understand what it means when someone says “no” or “stop” but doesn’t mean it in a negative way (i.e., you can do something later when you are older). I want her to know how much God loves her so much so that He sent His Son Jesus Christ into this world so we could live forever if we accept Him as our Savior(John 3:16

1. Prayers for My Daughter’s Mind
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2
Praying for our daughter’s mind is powerful. Our daughter’s inmost thoughts and feelings all begin with her mind. That is what Paul in Romans 12:2 warned God’s people not to conform to the ungodly ways of this world, but to renew our minds through the Word of God.
Bible verses to pray over your daughter
Dear God,
I come to you today to ask for your help. My son is a teenager now and it’s been difficult for me to see him go through this phase in his life. He has started to question everything I say and do, even the simplest things that have been taught since he was a child. He doesn’t seem to have any respect for me anymore and I’m not sure what to do about it.
He thinks he knows everything because of his age but he doesn’t realize that there’s a lot more out there than he could ever imagine. It’s like he’s trying to find himself but doesn’t know how yet; so he keeps experimenting with different things until something sticks.
I feel like I’ve failed as a parent because I don’t know what else to do to help him through these trying times in his life. Please guide me towards finding the solution in order for us both can move forward together as a family unit once again instead of being separated by our differences.”
As we pray for our daughters, we can ask God to protect and renew our daughter’s minds. We can pray that our daughters will fill their minds with the truth of God’s Word that will shield them from the deceitful lies of the enemy. If your daughter is still a young child in your home, we as parents can carefully monitor what goes into their minds through the media choices they consume.
We can read the Bible with them and provide them with good, wholesome books to read. We can play uplifting music within our homes, and create a safe and loving atmosphere that encourages her mind to flourish and grow.
If your daughter is an adult, you can ask the Lord to protect her mind through the media choices and influences she surrounds herself with. Pray that she discovers God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will for her life as she seeks to honor him each day.
Prayer: Lord, I pray that my daughter will not conform to the ungodly patterns of this world, but I ask that you will transform her mind through the power of your Word. I know that you have a good, pleasing, and perfect will for her life. Guide her each day as she grows in the grace and knowledge of you. Amen.
