Comfort Prayer For Family

As a child, I was taught that God is love. That is the most important thing to remember when your world feels broken. The Bible says that God loves us so much, He sent His Son to die for us. And Jesus did! He died for all of us, even you and me.

We all have times when we feel like life is too hard to bear, or that we’re not good enough for God’s love. But what if we’re wrong? What if God really does love us and wants to heal us from our pain? What if His plan for us is not just happiness and comfort, but also something bigger than ourselves—a purpose greater than our own desires?

Comfort Prayer For Family

I believe this because I know it’s true. God has given me comfort in my darkest moments, and He’ll give it to you too!

Sometimes it’s just to cheer us up when we’re having a bad day, or to offer a shoulder to cry on when we’re feeling down. Other times, it’s to help us through a tough situation, like a divorce or the loss of a loved one. Whatever the case may be, there are times when we need someone who is willing to listen and comfort us with words of encouragement.

That’s why I created this blog post: to show those in need that they aren’t alone in their struggles, and that there is always hope for the future—even when it feels like there isn’t any left.

Prayer For Comfort And Strength For Family

“Lord, we know that You are the God who comforts us. I pray that You provide a time of comfort and rest for those whose hearts are hurting right now. Hold them in Your embrace, Father. Wrap them in Your love and remind them that though they may have lost someone dear, they are not alone, for You are with them.

During the difficult times that many of us are now facing, you probably have many concerns regarding your family. You might be concerned about finances and being able to pay your bills on time. There may be health-related concerns that you need strength to face and deal with. Your concerns could include general fears about the safety of your family.

However specific or general your concerns may be, saying prayers for your family involves intervening on behalf of those who mean the most to you. Bringing your fears or concerns to God can bring you peace of mind and help you through difficult times. You may decide to pray silently or out loud. Sometimes speaking our concerns out loud is a good way to express our feelings.

The following are 21 prayers for your family that can provide strength and comfort when trying to overcome adversity or just making it through the struggles of daily life. You can say these prayers for individually or together as a family.

What You Will Learn [show]

1. Dear Lord,

Our family is struggling with fear and confusion. We need your strength and power in our lives. We need to sense your comfort and peace. Wrap your arms around us and fill us with your love. I pray for my spouse and my children. I pray for every member of my family. You know each of our individual fears and needs. Supply us all with the strength we need to keep going and comfort us as we continue along the journey of life.

Thank you, Lord,

Amen

2. Dear God,

Give us wisdom to make the best choices for our family.

Give us grace to trust in you even when we don’t see immediate answers.

Give us hope to carry on in spite of the circumstances around us.

We thank you for hearing and answering our prayer.

We thank you for your constant care and peace.

In your name, amen.

3. Father in Heaven,

We call upon you, Father, in these difficult times. When people are sick and struggling to make ends meet, it’s easy to lose hope. Give us the strength and power to carry on in spite of what is happening all around us. Help us to keep our eyes on you and not our problems. Comfort and strengthen us to make it through.

Amen

4. Dear Jesus,

My loved ones are struggling to come together as a family. We all seem torn in so many directions. I’m asking that you bring us together again as we should be. Give us the strength to rely on each other, and most importantly, to rely on you. I pray for each member of our family. Help each of us individually and as a family.

In your name, amen.

5. Lord God,

My family really needs help right now. We’re finding it very difficult to keep going under such difficult circumstances. There are so many things in our lives that are all going wrong at once. Give us the strength to keep going. Give each of us the desire to want to keep going. I will remember your promises in Proverbs 18:10. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe. Help me to remember that I can always rely on my God during these difficult times.

Thank you, Lord,

Amen

6. Dear God,

I am wiped out. I’m completely exhausted and ready to give up. I’m calling on you to revive me and give me the strength I need to care for my family. You know I love them, but keeping everything together can be overwhelming. Teach me ways to better relate to my family and to guide them as I should. Comfort me, guide me, and give me the strength I need to keep going.

Amen

7. Dear Jesus,

Always remind us of who you are and what you can do. You are bigger than all of our problems or worries. You provided the perfect example of strength in the midst of extreme adversity. Give our family your strength to come together as a family should. Provide comfort for each of us and help us to also comfort one another.

In Your Name, amen
