Prayer For St Therese

St. Therese, the Little Flower, please pick me a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to me with a message of love. Ask God to grant the favor I you (here make your request).

Dear St. Therese,

Hail Holy Queen of Heaven, Mother of the Church, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To you do we cry poor banished children of Eve; to you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then most gracious advocate your eyes of mercy towards us who have recourse to thee. And after this, O blessed Therese, who didst live only for God and for souls, cast a glance to the lowly condition in which we are plunged through sin; take pity on us and on the whole world that is lost through its own fault. We are all sinners: we all deserve hell; but thou art so full of grace that thou canst obtain pardon even for the greatest sinner. Thou hast obtained it for thyself: obtain it also for us. Thou wilt obtain it if thou dost ask it with confidence, with love unfeigned and with perseverance. And for this end I humbly pray thee to obtain for me from thy Divine Spouse these four graces:

The first is a lively faith by which I may believe firmly all that God has revealed to us as true; especially those truths which are most necessary for my salvation.

Daily Prayer To St Therese

O little St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, who during your short life on earth became a mirror of angelic purity, of love strong as death, and of wholehearted abandonment to God, now that you rejoice in the reward of your virtues, cast a glance of pity on me as I leave all things in your hands.

  • Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I beg you to look upon me with pity and to heal me. I thank you that through your goodness my health has been restored. But if my illness is a punishment for sin, then I pray that it be forgiven by God. I promise never again to offend Him, who is so good and merciful. Amen.*

When someone is sick:

  • Jesus Christ, Son of God who has redeemed us with His blood: heal this person in body, soul and spirit; restore this person’s health which has been weakened by the trials sent by our Heavenly Father; give him back his strength or take him away from us in peace according to His holy will.*

For healing during illness (or recovery)

St. Therese of Lisieux, the Little Flower, is a very popular saint in the Catholic Church. She was born in 1873 and died at just 23 years old from tuberculosis. Her life was marked by great suffering and trials, but she became a beacon of hope and joy through her faith in God’s love. This prayer is an example of how she tried to help others realize that they could find meaning even in times when life seems overwhelming or meaningless.

You can use this prayer as an opportunity to ask for your own special grace from St. Therese, or simply use it as inspiration for creating your own personal prayers which you say on days when you need encouragement or strength during difficult times in your life (or if you simply want some extra reassurance).

St. Therese, help me to always believe as you did in God’s great love for me so that I might imitate your “Little Way” each day. Amen

Amen.

Amen is a word that means so be it. It’s used at the end of prayers, and it’s often used to express agreement or approval. Amen can also be used to show respect, as in saying amen at the end of someone’s prayer.

The word “amen” comes from Hebrew and Aramaic languages, where it meant “to complete” or “make firm.”
