The Gospel of John

The Gospel of John is a film about John the Apostle, who wrote the gospel of John. The film covers the life of Christ and is one of the most accurate depictions of it. It is word for word taken from the gospel written by John, so you can be sure that it’s accurate.

The Book of Acts

The Book of Acts, also known as the Acts of the Apostles, tells the story of early Christianity. It is a sequel to Luke’s gospel and covers much of what happened after Jesus died and his disciples began spreading His teachings across the world. The book is told from an omniscient perspective—one that can see everything happening at once—which allows readers to understand how things were going on in different parts of the world at different times. In this way, we are able to get both a big-picture overview and some insight into individual lives.

While many people know about Jesus’ life and death through books like Matthew or John’s gospels, fewer are familiar with how His disciples grew his message after his death.

Jesus of Nazareth (mini-series)

Based on the Gospels, this movie follows Jesus from birth to death. It’s a little more than four hours long and has been called “spiritually uplifting” by critics.

Robert Powell plays Jesus in this miniseries. The supporting cast includes Laurence Olivier as John the Baptist and Olivia Hussey as Mary Magdalene. Franco Zeffirelli directed all six episodes and won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Limited Series in 1978 for his work on it.

Jonah (1998)

Jonah (1998) is a TV movie about the prophet Jonah. God calls Jonah to preach to the people of Nineveh, but Jonah refuses and flees from God’s will by boarding a ship headed for Tarshish. A storm forces the sailors to cast lots to find out who is responsible for their misfortune, and when they do, everyone decides it must be Jonah because he told them that God was angry with them. They throw him overboard and are surprised when he is swallowed by a giant fish. In the end, they repent of their sins and God forgives them; Jonah also repents because he realizes that there was no reason not to obey God in the first place

Joseph King of Dreams

The Joseph King of Dreams is a movie based on the biblical story of Joseph in Egypt. It was released in 2000, and it’s an animated film that contains all the elements you want out of your animated films: humor, exciting action sequences, and fun music. This is a great movie to watch with your kids—not only will they be entertained by its lighthearted tone, but they’ll also get an introduction to some important Bible stories that are important to understand as they grow up (and even into adulthood).

The Joseph King of Dreams tells us how Joseph was betrayed by his brothers when they sold him into slavery after his father Jacob died. It also tells us about how he forgave them for what happened, which sets up for their reconciliation later on in life

Samson

Samson is a story of a man who was strong and a “Nazarite”, meaning he had to drink no wine and cut his hair. He was given a prophecy that he would be the savior of his people and he was to be the strongest man that ever lived. He was given a mission to destroy the Philistines, but decided instead to marry their king’s daughter. After marrying her, Samson decides not to kill any more Philistines because she convinced him there would be enough left for him when they grew up (I guess she didn’t know about cell division).

Samson is then tricked by Delilah into telling her how he gets his strength which leads her to cut off his long hair while sleeping so that he loses all his strength at once! She tells this secret out loud in front of everyone at their wedding party because she doesn’t want anyone else knowing how easy it was for them both after all this time spent together…and now we know too!!
