Bible Verses About Works Without Faith

Really, the main purpose of this blog is to encourage you to be more faithful in your daily walk. This can be anything from showing up on time, to exhibiting a good attitude and being a team player. It is also important to maintain a sense of humility so when you reflect on your works, you look at yourself with confidence that God will accept them into His kingdom

This article is a message of encouragement for people who are living in the world, but trying to be different. Jesus said that if you love Him, you will keep His commandments, and that if you don’t love him then you are a liar and the truth is not in you. He also spoke about works without faith not having any power to save anyone.

The Bible has many verses about works without faith. In these verses, the Bible tells us that we can do all kind of good work in life, but if we do not have faith in God and believe on Jesus, our work is in vain.

So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:1-26 ESV / 39 helpful votes

My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit down at my feet,” have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? …

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts.
