Bible Verses About New Earth

We are living in a world that is falling apart. The environment is being destroyed, our relationships are crumbling, and there’s so much pain in the world that it’s almost impossible to keep up with. But what if there were a new earth? What if we could leave all of this behind and start over? The Bible tells us that God will make a new heaven and new earth—a world where we won’t have to worry about sickness or death anymore. It’ll be a place where we can love each other freely without fear of judgment or fear of being hurt. A place where we can live in peace and happiness forever with our families and friends.

Bible Verses About New Earth

Introduction

There has been much said in recent years about the “New Earth” and a renewed creation. Environmentalists talk about bringing forward a new earth through political and social change. People are encouraged to eat less meat, drive electric cars, and use energy from renewable sources to help create a new earth in the here-and-now. However, this is not what the Bible means when it refers to the New Earth. The New Earth is not something that we can bring about with our own efforts or ingenuity no matter how hard we try. Not only will Christ bring it about at His second coming; He alone will be glorified by it.

  • Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying nor pain anymore; for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:1-4)
  • God’s dwelling place is with His people again! A happy ending indeed!

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away…(Revelation 21:1 ESV)

Yes, the new heaven and new earth are a reality. The first heaven and first earth have passed away. And what is the sea? It has been dissolved with fire by means of water; and its component parts have been distributed throughout the world where they will be formed into new bodies. As for you, your name is written in heaven, because you have conquered it (Revelation 21:1).

You may not see this yet but I promise that someday soon—very soon—you will see it for yourself. You will live on Earth with me forever! Hallelujah!

Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.(2 Corinthians 5:6-8)

The New Earth is a place of peace, joy, and perfection. It is a place where we will be safe from evil because God does not allow sin to exist there. The Bible says:

The New Earth is a place of security and safety. We know that our life on earth can be dangerous at times, but there are no risks in heaven! In fact, the Bible says that when we enter into heaven’s gates, we enter into “safety” (Revelation 21:4). And since God cannot lie (Titus 1:2), His promise must come true!

The New Earth is a place where you can rest from all your worries and experience true peace within yourself—a rest unlike any other on earth! As the author of Hebrews writes:

“Even though I am physically present with you now and still have many things to tell you [about Jesus], I do not want you overwhelmed by these things while I am still with you.”(Hebrews 2:1-3)

There is a greater reality to look forward to (the New Earth)

There is a greater reality to look forward to (the New Earth)

Jesus talked about the reality of heaven and the new earth, yet many Christians don’t really believe in these things. They think that these are just stories, fairy tales for little children who can’t handle reality. But Jesus was teaching us about the future, not just telling us stories so we have hope! We should believe what He said because He never lied.

Jesus taught that there is a better place than this one—a place where there will be no more pain, no more death (Revelation 21:4). How do you think that would feel like? Imagine if everyone was completely healthy and never got sick or died again! Imagine being able to run around all day long without getting tired or hurting your knees or elbows when you fall down laughing at something funny someone said! Imagine being able to breathe fresh air all day long without having any bad chemicals get inside your lungs and make them sore every time you go outside for more than ten minutes at a time!”

Conclusion

When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, it provides us with all kinds of benefits. When we do things in the Spirit and allow ourselves to be led by God’s Word, it transforms our lives.
