Bible Verses About Needing Jesus

Introduction

We’re all in desperate need of Jesus. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory and the only way to be saved is through confession with our mouths and believing in our hearts that Jesus rose from the dead. The Bible tells us that there is one name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, and that name is Jesus. Every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess, that He is Lord of Lords, King of Kings – Jesus Christ!

Bible Verses About Jesus as Our Savior

And Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’”

Then he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out using the name of God (Jesus).

When we were children, we were slaves of sin with no desire for anything good. But now that we are adults with minds capable of thinking logically, there is no reason why we should still be held in bondage by something as trivial as a substance addiction or an emotional problem rooted in our past experiences. We can choose not to allow these things control over us anymore; instead we can be redeemed from them through faith in Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf—a sacrifice that has already been made once but will continue being made anew each time you read these words aloud until they become part of who you are so that even when temptation comes knocking at your door again next week or next month or even tomorrow morning after breakfast,”you won’t turn away!”

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I think the most important verse in the Bible is John 3:16. It says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

This verse shows us God’s great love for us, and it tells us that if we believe in Jesus, we will receive eternal life through him. No matter who you are or what you’ve done in your life, whether good or bad, it doesn’t matter because all people are sinners (Romans 3:23). But by believing in Jesus Christ with all of our hearts and trusting that he died for our sins on the cross at Calvary (John 19:30), then we can be forgiven from those sins and go to heaven when we die instead of going to hell where there will be no forgiveness from God!

That means if you don’t accept Christ as your Lord & Savior today – YOU WILL GO TO HELL FOREVER!!

1 Thessalonians 5:9 – “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,”

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,” 1 Thessalonians 5:9.

God has not appointed us to wrath, instead, He has appointed us to salvation! Salvation is a gift from God that we receive through faith in Christ. Salvation is not a punishment or a curse; it is something that we receive because of the blood of Jesus Christ shed for our sins on the cross (1 John 1:7).

Romans 5:8 – “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8 (NIV) teaches us that God’s love goes beyond what we can understand. He loved us while we were still sinners and his grace was available to those who would accept it. The verse states, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 3:16 says; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” It is because of God’s love for His creation that we are given an opportunity to accept salvation through Jesus Christ in order to have everlasting life with Him when our time here on earth ends.

Matthew 1:21 – “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”

Jesus is the savior of the world, and the only way to heaven. He forgives us when we repent and believe in him. Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we could have eternal life with God. There is no other way to heaven except through him!

John 10:9-10 – “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

  • Jesus is the door to salvation: “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” (John 10:9-10)
  • Jesus is the way to salvation: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” (John 14:6)
  • No one can enter into heaven except through Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

Romans 8:1 – “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” This verse tells us that there is no condemnation for those who are saved through Jesus Christ. This means that once you’re saved and filled with His Spirit, you can’t sin because Jesus will prevent it from happening. He has power over your life and He gives you power to resist sin when temptation comes (James 4:7).

Conclusion

When we read the Bible, we learn that Jesus died for our sins and offers us forgiveness. Imagine how sinful people would feel if they did not have Jesus to go to when they sinned. This does not just apply to Christians. Even non-Christians are forgiven when they repent and confess their sins, putting their trust in Christ. It is because of Jesus, everyone can be forgiven for the mistakes that were made in life.
