Bible Verses About Husband Leading Wife

The Bible is clear that a husband is called to be a spiritual leader in his home. God established marriage as a union between one man and one woman, and it is the husband’s responsibility to lead his family in matters of faith and morals.

The Bible teaches that a wife should “submit herself” to her husband (Ephesians 5:22). The word submit means “to yield or give place.” It does not mean that a wife should be subservient to her husband or that she has no say in decisions affecting their family. The Bible makes it clear that a wife is equal to her husband in all things except when it comes to spiritual leadership: “Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife” (I Corinthians 7:3-4).

Bible verses about husband leading wife

The Bible has a lot to say about the role of men and women in marriage, and it’s not always what we think.

Men are called to lead their wives, but this doesn’t mean that a husband should be bossy or abusive. Instead, Paul says that husbands should love their wives as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). That means showing her respect, giving her space when she needs it, and being kind even when you’re frustrated.

It also means being willing to be vulnerable around your wife—both emotionally and physically. If you want your wife to trust you more and open up more, then show her that you trust her by being honest with her yourself!

God designed marriage to be a partnership between two people who love each other deeply, so let’s make sure we’re treating our partners with respect and kindness on both sides!

“Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.” -Colossians 3:19

1 Corinthians 11:3

But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

1 Peter 3:1-7

Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives [or by their example].

Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.

You are not only one person, but you are a husband as well as a wife. So it is important that you should be considerate of both sides. It is not only your wife who should respect you, but it is your duty also to respect her.

1 Peter 3:1-2

Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.

Wife leading husband to god

The Bible says that wives should submit to their husbands (Ephesians 5:22). But what does it mean for a wife to submit to her husband?

In this video, Pastor Robert Jeffress explains why it’s important for wives to lead their husbands to God.

Husbands, follow your wife’s Bible verse, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25).

Wives, follow your husband’s Bible verse, “Likewise, wives should be submissive to their husbands in everything” (Ephesians 5:22).

Follow it now. Realize that it is God’s command for you to do so. But don’t just follow it because God says so; follow it because you want to please Him!

Many wives are not aware of their husbands’ spiritual growth and development.

In the Bible, we read that the wife was to follow her husband’s lead in matters of faith (1 Peter 3:1). She was to be a helpmate, not an antagonist.

Do you know how to support your husband? Do you know how to encourage him? Do you know how to pray for him? Or do you sometimes feel frustrated when he doesn’t seem to change as fast as you would like him to?

In this article, we will look at how wives can lead their husbands toward God.

In the Bible, wives are told to respect their husbands and to submit to them. Husbands are told to love their wives and to care for them. You can learn a lot about how this is supposed to work by reading Ephesians 5:22-33.

Ephesians 5:22-33: Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it

Here’s a verse that many women can relate to:

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:22 KJV)

It’s a verse that has been used by men to oppress women for centuries. But it doesn’t have to be that way. In fact, it can be liberating for both partners when you apply the verse more fully.

What does “submit” mean? The Greek word translated “submit” is hupotasso, which means to arrange under or subject. It’s a military term for arranging troops in formation or order. It also appears in an important passage about Jesus’ relationship with his disciples:

“For even as the Father hath loved me, and hath given me all things I [Jesus] desire of him; That I should lose nothing [on my journey], but should raise it up at the last day.” (John 6:39 KJV)

Jesus is saying that he desires all things from God — even death on the cross. He’s not asking permission or arguing over what will happen next; he’s just expressing his complete trust in God’s wisdom and love. And so must we express our complete trust in God and his plan for us —
